Word processing versus handwriting Technology has definitely changed the way I write, in both quality and quantity. For me writing is more of a chore than an enjoyable activity. To be honest, I hate writing; essays, and assignments, even long e-mails sometimes bother me. When I sit down with my laptop to write an essay I look at the word processing screen and all I see is how much I haven't written and how much I have left to write. MY SCHOOL & SPECIALITY Kuressaare Regional Training Centre is an educational institute that provides initial vocational training and in wide area of specialties. The school was established on the 6th of november 1922, named the Kuressaare Ehitusinstruktorite school. First accepted 19 students to the new school. This marks the beginning of the continuous training on Saaremaa. Nowdays, over 1000 of students enrolled in school. As tourism is an important industry in our region, training specialists in catering, cooking, tourism management and hotel service has a very important role. Construction and related fields like carpentry have also quite a number of students. REPORT Young people's activities in Simuvere Gymnasium in 1996, 1998 and 2000 Introduction The aim of this report is to describe, how are young people's favourite pastimes changed between 1996 and 2000. The survey is carried out in Simuvere Gymnasium in 1996, 1998 and 2000. Students who were questioned were 16-18 years old. My findings are presented below. Numbers have given in precentages. Changes among pastime activities. At graph we can see big changes. 1. Before 1996 students mostly watched television but in 1998 it was already ten percent less. In 2000 it was only twenty five percent. 2. Before students loved to read books, but in 2000 this number was only fifteen percent. This is not good anymore. 3. Many students and their parents are in the position that every school should permit computers for their students. Is this a good idea if every student at school has their own computer what they can use in lesson? In my opinion having computers in our English class is very good idea. There is a lot of reasons why. Firstly, our textbooks and worksbooks are compiled that method that there are some excercises which we will have to check from internet like all kind of searching tasks what expect us to use Internet. It also simplify teacher work, teacher does not have to waste her time preparing the lessons.Because they can check out the difficult words quickly from internet. But your interest about machinery and computer are not so thrilling for me. So now I am going to tell you about my hobbies. I have quite a lot of hobbies, they can be related together as sports. I am into lots of sport activities like cycling, rollerskating, running, swimming and dancing. I like playing foot-, basket- and volleyball. I have been to tennis courses when I was little.
