Essay about museums

Nowadays there are many museums in every country and almost in every city. Despite that people still do not visit museums as much as doing other activities. What might be the reasons of this? There are certain arguments in favour of visiting museums. The first important advantage of museums is that it educates and broadens your mind. For example, when you go to visit the exhibition, you learn more about the painter and the story behind the picture. Another advantage of museums is that it represents the country. As a result tourists become more aware of our country. On the other hand, there are people who are against of visiting museums. The main drawback of this is that museums cost a lot of money. As a result, many people can not afford to go to the museum. Another disadvantage of visiting museums is that they might be boring. Therefore it is a waste of money and time. All things considered, it seems to me that museums are not a waste of money,

To: Ms Maire Liidlein From: Kerli Neljas Date: 16th December Subject: Recommendation report about Haapsalu Introduction Haapsalu is a small, friendly and romantic town is a real summer paradise and in summer a lot of holidaymakers visit this. They come for the warm seawater, curative mud, peacefulness. A lot of people visit the resort every summer, there are many different ways to spent time there, both for tourists and locals. Old Town of Haapsalu and museums People who are interested in culture and history can visit the Old Town and museums. For example the Estonian Railway Museum, the Episcopal Castle Museum, the Läänemaa Museum and others. I think that the city itself is one of the greatest historical places. Nobody can talk about the history of Haapsalu better than the city itself. And visiting museums is a good for acquiring new knowledge, but those people who do not love history, may get bored. I've traveled a little, mostly in Finland, Sweden and Latvia. But for me and my family like to travel and discover new places in Estonia. But my favorite is the holiday trip to Sweden. We traveled by boat to Sweden, where we visited many museums, cathedrals, and the Gallery. Sweden at meeldiub me most architectures, as the country houses are so special. I've been to Sweden twice, and definitely will go back there again. In addition, we usually visit the zoo, museums, and buy hand-made souvenirs. I like to follow the plot in the street, because they behave and dress differently. I was traveling for three days together in Sweden. Many do not like the journey involves shipping in Sweden but I just love it, because in the mornings and in the evenings you can eat buffet. In conclusion, I like to travel and culture in Sweden is a very suitable place.

Estonian railway

All public railways in Estonia are 1,520 mm , the same as in Russia, Belarus, Latvia, and Lithuania. The 1,520 km gauge used in Estonia is also compatible with Finland's 1,524 km gauge. Sometimes it is defined to be 1,524 km, for example when buying track maintenance or vehicles from Finland. Railways in Estonia today are used mostly for freight transport, but also for passenger traffic. Passenger transport is most frequent near Tallinn, centred on the main Balti jaam. RAILWAY MUSEUMS IN HAAPSALU AND LAVASSAARE Four museums lines and some industrial peat railways remain in Estonia. The Lavassaare railway museum houses a large collection of steam and diesel locomotives with a 2 km long 750 mm gauge railway. There is a museum with a 750 mm gauge, 500 m long line in Avinurme which houses one locomotive and a collection of wagons. I wanted to visit some shop there. I`m sure any place where I go in Paris is very intresting. The third thing I would do to spice up life at school is organizing more fieldtrips. There are many different cultural and historical exhibits and museums kids may never visit unless they skip classes to do so. Tourism Advantages, Disadvantages

Tourism Tourism is becoming one of the most attractive sectors in many countries in the world. It developes very quikly because people travel a lot and companies invest much money in tourism. It has many benefits but also much can be said against the tourism. Firstly, the main advantage of tourism is that it gives people places to work. For instance hotels, bars and museums. Due to that, the standards of living increases and unemployment decrease. Secondly, many countries depend on the money whick tourism brings. It can help developing countries to become stabled. By attracting people from almost everywhere, the area can get much money in order to develop the other public services such as hospitals and schools. On the other hand, tourism may cause misunderstandings and problems because tourists do not always respect traditional cultures

aastal ajalehes `'Le Figaro''. 1. manifest Courage, audacity, and revolt will be essential elements of our poetry. Vaprus, jultumus, ja ülestõus hakkavad olema meie luule põhilised elemendid. The poet must spend himself with ardor, splendor, and generosity, to swell the enthusiastic fervor of the primordial elements. Poeet peab end kulutama kire, ilu, ja heldusega, et paisutada varajaste elementide entusiastlikku indu. We will destroy the museums, libraries, academies of every kind, will fight moralism, feminism, every opportunistic or utilitarian cowardice. Me hävitame muuseumid, raamatukogud, igat liiki akadeemikuid, võitleme moraali, feminismi, iga teise nõrkusi ära kasutava või utilitaarse arguse vastu.

War II. Most of them are in the heart of the city. There's also a place called the Dome Hill. It's a hill where you can see various monuments and there are also the ruins of the Dome Church. Currently, the building is occupied by a history museum and the visitors can use an observation platform on the roof and enjoy a picturesque view of the city. By the Dome Hill there's the main building of the University of Tartu. It's very big and beautiful. There are several museums, but also some theatres and cinemas. Tartu has many cafés in the centre of the city, for example café Pierre. With its historical atmosphere, it's a really great place for spending a quiet and relaxing evening. Tartu is the perfect place for living and it's certainly a good holiday destination if you like sightseeing. It's also a fine choice for students, because the University of Tartu has a really good reputation and education level. Karita Liivak 9b Tartu MRG 15.10.10

novels and books about love stories. The lessons would start at 9am. In my ideal school I'd have to study the average level of general subjects. There would also be certain amount of specialty studies, which I could be able to choose for myself. There wouldn't be too much homework, because the students would manage to finish their tasks in class. After the lessons students could go on free bus trips to anywhere in Estonia. They could visit different museums and churches or just see the beauty of our nature. That would be a great get-away from our everyday life! Let's not forget about the rules! In my ideal school the most important rule would be very simple keep calm and quiet. It's important to study in a peaceful environment. That way the students can commit themselves to their studies. This is what my ideal school would be like.

Summer holidays are too long

Summer holidays are too long Summer holidays are important. Children need enough time to rest from school hard work. They have to have time to do all the things they like. Children aren't the only ones who need all this, teachers need it too. Children need long holidays. In summer they can go on vacation with their families and visit all the interesting places. Some kids like water parks and amusement parks, some are interested in museums. They can also visit relatives. Every child wants to play and spend time with friends outside of school, also develop their hobbies. If summer holidays were shorter, they wouldn't have time to do all this. School is hard work. Learning new things all day, and after school there is homework to do. There is quite little time left for children to keen on their hobbies. Men do all the same things all day and some women stay home and drink coffee, while their kids are in school

--------------------- Dear Mrs McCarthy I found Your companies advertisement on the Internet offering to plan a trip. I'm very interested in Your service and would like to get some suggestions on a trip around the UK. I am planning to travel with 3 people in the end of August. Our budget is reasonable, we're not interested in anything high-end, but we definetly expect a comfortable bed and a good breakfast for our money. We are not interested in museums, nightlife or anything of that sort but of an active holiday we would like to be able to go rafting, hiking and swimming during our vacation. We also wouldn't mind if some of our trip was by bike, but not all of it. The trip is going to last for two weeks and we don't want to be on the road for too long so 3 locations at max. We haven't decided on places to visit, so any suggestions would be great. I'm looking forward to Your proposal and reply! Your's sincerely Mari Mets
