London Stansed Airport
(MAG), wich also owns and
operates three other UK airports.
MAG – agreed to buy the airport
from Heathrow Airport Holdings
on 18th January 2013, and the sale
was completed for 1.5 billion
pounds.
BAA had been required to sell the
airport following a ruling originally
made by the Compatition
Commission in March 2009.
Overview
Stansted Airport has one main
passenger terminal, near the
village of Stansted
Mountfitchet.
There are three passenger
satellites in which the
departure gates are situated,
one is connected to the main
terminal by an air-bridge and
the other two by the Stansted
Airport Transit System people
mover.
