She also started building a library which was a pretty big thing because it was time when it was weird for woman to do such thing. She had a really big role in Estonia becoming independent. She didn't die in Estonia but her remains were brought to Estonia later. There are also many things made for Lydia's memory. For example there's a memorial stone for her.
