Nonetheless, epics have been written down at least since the works of Virgil, Dante Alighieri, and John Milton. Many probably would not have survived if not written down. The

Two great singles

,,We are the champions" from the Queen is my second favourite piece on music. This song inspires me to me the champion and win in everything in my life. Both of these song are very good to listen. When in a mood for dreaming it is better to listen hip- hop especially ,,Window shopper" but in a need for inspiratoin mood the best song to listen is ,,We are the champions". In my opinion rap and hip- hop are for younger age groups although there are exeptions. Queen is for everyone because it is a legendary band which will be remembered for decades thanks to their great songs. It can be said that music is a good mean for spending time and searching for inspiration and for me if plays both roles. Rain Hein 10 a

Oliver Twist

Every actor should have only one role, so that they don't get their lines mixed and to really live into their character. Fortunately the performances were rather convincing. Also it is better to watch when the stage is decorated. In this particular show they used only the most neccessary things. It made the stage look amateurish and cheap. If you haven't read the book yet, and if you get the chance, go see it. If nothing else, it still makes you acquainted to the legendary and well-known story of Oliver Twist. The play could have been a lot better but it was nevertheless enjoyable.

Neoklassitsism

Neoklassitsis m Keiu Lindeburg • Neoklassitsism sai muusikas alguse 1920. aastatel mõtteviisina, mille iseloomulikeks joonteks võrreldes hilisromantistliku, ekspressionistliku või impressionistliku muusikaga on harmoonia ja orkestratsiooni üldine lihtsustumine, temaatiline lakoonilisus ja rütmiline motoorsus. Eestis on neoklassitsistliku muusikastiili olulisemaid esindajaid Jaan Rääts, Eino Tamberg ja Eduard Tubin. • Teoste harmooniline plaan on aga igati kaasaegne, täis ootamatud pöördeid ja üllatuskadentse • Harmoonia ja orkestratsiooni üldine lihtsustamine, temaatilise materjali lakoonilisus ja lühikesed meloodiad Sergei Prokofjev • Sergei Prokofjev (vene Сергей Сергеевич Прокофьев; 23./27. aprill 1891 Sonzovka mõis Jekaterinoslavi lähedal Ukrainas – 5. märts 1953 Moskva) oli vene helilooja, kes on tuntud omapärase muusikalise stiili poolest. ...

Lindgren had considerable public influence, however, she used it scarcely. Her constant concern with animal welfare was active in passing a new law in 1988 controlling factory farming, which put Sweden among the most developed countries on this issue. That isn't the case at all. I am essentially a rather quiet, dull(igav) person who just happens to be a performer.'' ''Mr. Bean is essentially a child trapped in the body of a man. All cultures identify with children in a similar way, so he has this bizarre global outreach. And 10-year-old boys from different cultures have more in common than 30-year-olds. As we grow up, we acquire this sensibility that divides us.'' My opinion I chose to talk about Mr Atkinson because I reckon he's legendary. Mr Bean has been one of my favourite characters since childhood and I could watch all of his comedy sketches over and over again. I believe he'll always be my favored actor who is very hard to top.

Shakespeare/Poems and Sonnets

A third narrative poem, A Lover's Complaint, in which a young woman laments her seduction by a persuasive suitor, was printed in the first edition of the Sonnets in 1609. Most scholars now accept that Shakespeare wrote A Lover's Complaint. Critics consider that its fine qualities are marred by leaden effects. The Phoenix and the Turtle, printed in Robert Chester's 1601 Love's Martyr, mourns the deaths of the legendary phoenix and his lover, the faithful turtle dove. In 1599, two early drafts of sonnets 138 and 144 appeared in The Passionate Pilgrim, published under Shakespeare's name but without his permission. SONNETS · Published in 1609, the Sonnets were the last of Shakespeare's nondramatic works to be printed. Scholars are not certain when each of the 154 sonnets was composed,

The Pre-Raphaelites

Even thou the brotherhood lasted only about five years its impact to art lasted up to the 20 th century. At first the realistic movement predominated but later the mystical medievalism of Rossetti became more influential. Pre-Raphaelitism hung on in British art until after World war I, but it no longer represented the feelings and ideas of society. During Queen Victoria`s reign interest grew in classical literature and the history of ancient Greece and Rome, as well as in the legendary medieval past of Britain itself. Artists started to combine sex and art in a tasteful manner acceptable to Victorian sensibility- paintings of Greek and Roman ladies at their bath and in other intimate situations. The technical expectations were very high towards these paintings. A new current was set in motion by Rossetti, who was a poet as well as a painter. He developed a style full of mysterious undertones, using colour not to describe nature realistically but to suggest mood and feeling.

The Life-Changing Competition

Many student bands from all over the country were preparing for the final battle. The Raven wasn't an exception. The vocalist, Daemon, practiced the guitar, while the others tried to calm down from the pressure that was thickening the air. Matrix, the guitarist, had taken his little sister with him. While he himself was practicing with the Ravens, Alice sat amongst the public. Suddenly, someone shook her hand. The girl turned and saw one extravagant-looking woman. "You are Alice Owen, right? The legendary Billy Owen' s youngest daughter?" Alice smiled and nodded. "Yet I don't believe my father is a legend." "Well, for me he's an idol! I've always dreamed about his live-concert! And, now, finally, I can hear his singing!" "He's just opening the competition..." But the woman seemed very happy, so Alice decided not to ruin her mood and agreed to everything she talked about. Matrix finished all the preparations and went to Daemon, whom was drinking soda behind the stage and watching the crowd.

Not only was football in the genes but it also provided an escape from the Cold War pressures in a part of Italy where there was constant fear that the borders could be redrawn and his family forced from their home. Citing the role of his father and uncle in forming his legendary work ethic, Capello said: "They taught me dedication, to always work hard with absolute stubbornness. Only hard work allows an athlete to make the most of his talents." The result is a Stakhanovite philosophy under which Capello rewards the players he judges to have given their all under his instructions to win at all costs - and ruthlessly freezes out those he believes do not fit his gameplan. Topic - Estonia

South-eastern and eastern parts of Estonia are higher than the western parts. The relief of the present-day landscape was shaped during the Ice Age. Ice sheet has carried large boulders and limestone blocks here, not to mention that the hilly terrain in Estonia was also shaped by the continental ice and the melting water. The land is rising 25 cm every one hundred years. In folklore, many features of the relief are explained by the activities of giants such as the legendary national hero Kalevipoeg. The Haanja and Otepää Uplands are particularly rich in Hills. It is here that You find Big Egg Hill, the highest point in the Baltic states with 318 metres above sea level. 4. Land regions The northern coast features a steep limestone bank, the Baltic glint, which is one of the world's most important denudations of Ordovician sedimentary rocks. The glint rises to its highest point (56m) at Ontika. Estonia has over 1,500 islands.

Prague(praha)

Vysehrad sometimes served as an alternative in the 10th and 11th centuries. Christianity became the state religion under the rule of the pious Wenceslas (Václav in Czech), duke of Bohemia (r c 925-29), now the chief patron saint of the Czech people. Wenceslas was the 'Good King Wenceslas' of the well-known Christmas carol written in 1853 by English clergyman John Mason Neale. Neale, a scholar of eastern European church history, had read about St Wenceslas' legendary piety, and based his carol on the story of the duke's page finding strength and warmth by following in the footsteps of his master as they carried food, wine and firewood to a poor peasant on a freezing cold Boxing Day. The unfortunate Wenceslas was murdered by his own brother, Boleslav; the Chapel of St Wenceslas in St Vitus Cathedral is decorated with scenes from the saint's life. In 950 the German king Otto I conquered Bohemia and incorporated it into the Holy Roman Empire

living by begging and running small errands on the streets of Lahore. He occasionally works for Mahbub Ali, a horse trader who is one of the native operatives of the British secret service. Kim is so immersed in the local culture, few realise he is a white child, though he carries a packet of documents from his father entrusted to him by an Indian woman who cared for him. Kim befriends an aged Tibetan Lama who is on a quest to free himself from the Wheel of Things by finding the legendary 'River of the Arrow'. Kim becomes his chela, or disciple, and accompanies him on his journey. On the way, Kim incidentally learns about parts of the Great Game and is recruited by a British officer to carry a message to the British commander in Umballa. Kim's trip with the Lama along the Grand Trunk Road is the first great adventure in the novel. By chance, Kim's father's regimental chaplain identifies him by his Masonic certificate, which he wears

9. The Anglo-Saxon Invasion. The Angles, Saxons and Jutes came from present-day Northern-Germany and Denmark in 449. A number of tribes from the European mainland invaded and settled in large numbers; however, they were not always victorious. These Anglo- Saxons soon had the south-east of the country in their control. In the west, their advance was temporarily halted by an army of (Celtic) Britons under the command of the legendary King Arthur. By the 7th century the Anglo-Saxons were ruling most of Britain. 10. Scandinavian raids. In 789 three Viking ships landed on the coast of the kingdom of West Saxon. They were traders and raiders. In the 9th century they conquered and settled the islands around Scotland and some coastal regions of Ireland. Their conquest of England was halted when they were defeated by King Alfred of the Saxon kingdom of Wessex

ASPECTS OF BRITISH HISTORY

At first the Germanic tribes only raided Britain, but after the Romans had left, they began to settle in large numbers. The Anglo-Saxon raids were part of a general migration of Germanic tribes in search of new lands for growing population1. The Britons fought the raiders and settlers from Germany as well as they could. In the west of the country the Anglo-Saxon advance was temporarily halted by an army of Britons under the command of the legendary King Arthur2. However, the Britons were slowly pushed westwards into the mountains of Wales and northwards into Scotland. A great number of Britons crossed the English Channel and settled in the north-western peninsula of Gaul, which they gave a new name Brittany3. (See the map in Unit 6). Some Celts stayed behind and were either Saxonized or became slaves of the Anglo-Saxons. Around the year 600, almost all of present-day England was under Anglo-Saxon rule

No other European country can boast its resources of coal, iron, gas, and rich agrarian land. Almost three-quarters of its area is agricultural land, more than half arable. Though the quality of legendary black earth deteriorated during the Soviet decades, it remains among the best globally. The country has some oil and conventional gas, and perhaps more importantly, possesses as much as 4 percent of global coal reserves. Though more than half of energy consumed is imported, reserves of unconventional gas are estimated to be several trillions of cubic meters in size, promising gas independence from Russia in about two decades. THE CAPITALIST NIGER

You must become the predator because for too long we have put ourselves out there as the victim. We cannot continue to allow others to prey on us. As I have said several times, there is no higher calling than developing and embodying the same “killer-instinct” and “devil-may-care” conviction of the average Caucasian – it definitely makes risk taking a lot easier. You see, the pendant of the African (Black) race to risk-aversion is legendary. We prefer the status-quo. The race is the most hospitable that has ever lived in this whole world. At the drop of a hat, we are liable to give up our goals. We are the most loyal; we are loyal to our friends, especially if they happen to come from another race; we are brand-loyal; we are more afraid of losing our relationships with our former colonial masters than our membership in the Organization of Africa Unity; we would rather put
