In the following years Kangro was very prolific in writing symphonic and
chamber music. From 1979 Kangro was one of the main organisers of Estonian Music

Days. He was accepted as a lecturer of composition at the Tallinn Conservatoire in
1990, in 1995 he became Assistant Professor. At the same time he was holding the post
of Director of the Estonian Music Foundation (1993).
His diploma work, Flute Concerto (1973), reveals strong influences from Rääts
annaabi.ee
