Laev ristiti 30. novembril 2009 ning ristipere liikmeks said Gloria Estefan (ka laeva ,,Empress Of The Seas" ristiema), Michelle Kwan, Jane Seymour, Dara Torres, Keisha Knight Pulliam, Shawn Johnson ja Daisy Fuentes. Laev asus esmareisile 5. detsembril 2009. 1.novembril 2009 sõitis laev Suur-Belti silla alt läbi. Sild ulatub veepinnast 65 m kõrgusele, laev seevastu 72 m kõrgusele. Laeva korstnad on teleskooptorudega, et neid vajadusel lühemaks teha saaks. Lisaks kasutas laev niinimetatud kükitamisefekti: suure kiirusega madalas kanalis sõitva laeva süvis on pisut suurem. Selle arvel võitis laev veel 3 dm, milleta poleks silla alt läbisõit ohutu olnud.
