First, I have to agree with the argument about declaring war on texting as a new way to be in contact with fellow students over the break, class or other activity. Also, it is important to point out the fact that, according to the Nielsen Co., teens over the country were in the year 2009 sending at least 80 texts a day on average, a figure double what it was the year before. In spite of teens saying that they cannot live without cell phones and iPods, electronic devices should not be permitted in the school buildings. Although students are taking the rules more as an inconvenience than a real threat, they have to see outside of their cell phones and accept not being reachable for the length of a day. Also, not having your electronic device with you does not make you a person who is in the dark and isolated. All in all, in my opinion we should stop texting so much and think more about seeing each
