Nowadays flat rates in cities can be more expensive than living in a house in the countryside. Therefore, living in the countryside can be more affordable. In addition, the countryside is generally quiet and peaceful without the toxic polluted water and air. Some people prefer to live in the country for ecological reasons. For example, eating home- grown or locally grown food may easily become a part of lifestyle. Some people even raise their own animals. Accordingly, because cars are not idling in traffic there is less smog. However, there are some negative aspects of living in the rural area. For some, the lack of entertainment and smaller community is the biggest turn-off.
