Through colonization and the expansion of international trade routes, they soon spread around the globe. By the late 1500s, the pepper plants had reached south eastern Europe. Eestlane-Kes ta on ? Tihtipeale tekib küsimus 'Kes eestlane on?'. Ei saa öelda kindlaid iseloomujooni, mis eestlastel on. Iga inimene on isemoodi ja kõikidel on erinev iseloom ja käitumine. Kuid siiski saame me rääkida enamikest inimestest.

persuasively demonstrates, there is no other room for back translations. Moreover, in a globalizing world, she is confronted, in situ, with a multiplicity of (history- triggered) localizations: `A Hungarian', `a Romanian', `a Pole', `a Czech': after they've been invoked again and again, as if they were concrete entities, they begin, on the contrary, to seem like figures of allegory, hobbling across an abstract, worn landscape of the mind. Brenta in the Veneto region in northern Italy. Destroyed several times, it has been carefully rebuilt faithfully following the original layout and exists today as the only example of one of Palladio's bridges. The truss form, derived from the Romans, represents one of the Renaissance's most significant contributions to bridge building. Renaissance engineers also devised daring innovation in arch forms - the segmental, elliptical, and multi-centred. The Hungarian, Janos Veranscics, reviewed these and other achievements in the structural arts at the end of the Renaissance in Machinae Novae, published in 1617. Several concepts that later became standard bridge practice first were illustrated in this volume: the tied arch, the Pauli or lenticular truss (in wood), the all-metal truss (in cast brass), a portable, metal chain-link suspension bridge, the use of metal in reinforcing wooden bridges, and the eye-bar tension member (again in brass).

But shortly after the Anschluss, Walter Schellenberg, a young S.D. official, seized the files of the Austrian secret service and found that among the most interesting documents were those on cryptanalysis. This find may have soon thereafter recalled to the mind of Wilhelm Hottl, a youthful Austrian staff member of the new R.S.H.A., the World War I deeds of the Austro-Hungarian cryptanalysts, which General Max Ronge had detailed in an exciting book. Hottl discovered that General Andreas Figl, former head of the Austrian Dechiffrierdienst, had been arrested by the Gestapo in 1938. Hottl got Heinz lost, then head of Amt VI, to free Figl and to install him as an instructor in cryptology in a villa in the Wannsee section of Berlin. Here he passed on his experience to a new generation. But such training takes time, and any intelligence that the R.S.H.A.

Sõna teise poole kohta on kaks seletust: kas soome-ugri päritolu 'meest-poega-inimest' tähistav sõna või turgi laensõna eri, iri 'inimene'. Tänapäeval rahvusvaheliselt levinud ungarlaste nimetused Ungar (sks), Hungarian (ingl), hongroise (pr), ungherese (it), vengr (vn) jt on ungarlaste kohta kasutusele tulnud slaavlaste vahendusel alates 8. sajandist. Nimetuse aluseks on onoguri-bulgarite nimetus (on 'kümme', ogur 'oguri hõimu nimetus'), kes on ajaloos tuntud juba 5. sajandist. Kuigi hantide ja manside asuala tähistav ajalooline geograafiline nimetus Jugra meenutab kõlaliselt pisut sõna onogur, pole see etümoloogiliselt sama. Ungarlaste, manside ja hantide kohta kasutatav ühisnimetus ugri (ugor) on
