Passive houses

requires little energy for space heating or cooling. Sounds appealing right? Sustaining the earth for our future generations and also in the long run benefit from living there with paying lower taxes. However sadly, nowadays there is known to be only up to 20,000 passive houses world-wide out of 1,6 billion households. Which leaves us only 1 house out of 80,000. So why such shocking figures? The main reason, why there aren´t enough energy efficient homes, is because it costs more money to build one of those. Another reason is, that many houses were built before the energy laws were passed. So let´s talk about the cost. It is said that passive homes cost 6 to 12% more than other new homes, supposedly a medium house costs about 100,000 euros, so you would have to pay 12,000 euros more, it ´s actually quite a lot, isn´it? And to ensure that your passive house is efficient, it would be wise to get the certification, which ensures

Should rich people welcome immigration.

Immigration has it's negative and positive sides. Firstly, the positive side is that most immigrants have been working hard in developed countries. They start their own business by running a corner shop or owning a restaurant. Talented people also have a opportunity to use their talent in developed countries the way they can not do in their home country. Secondly, the negative side is that developing countries can not develope if talented and wealthy people leave their homes. These people should realise that they are the ones, who should help their country in developing education, economy and solving problem of over population. Thirdly, we can say that instead of opening our doors to the whole world, we can assist poorer countries by sending them supplies like first aid, condoms, pure water, food and clothes. In conclusion, we can say that richer countries should not welcome immigration in

Essee "Should people prefer going out or staying at home?"

Should people prefer going out or staying at home that is the question.Every person is different. Many people are in love with the TV set and they cannot love without it. The other ones prefer to keep busy themselves with outside doings. I think that people should go out more, because indoor lifestyle is getting more popular than ever.Young people are getting more lazy, because they have everything what they need to communicate in their homes, and they do not have to go out to meet their friends.I think that many people use their leisure time in wrong way. They sit in their homes and they don't do nothing useful. They watch television and sit in front of their computers. Then they eat and srink some junkfood like popcorns and coca-cola they are not healthy people. Many doctors are worried of children, because they are overweight and their eyes are damaged. I prefer the other topic, that people should prefer to go outside

· Fire is very important for traditional African societies. Some communities keep or use a "holy" fire for religious purposes. They perform a ceremony of purifying the crops when they begin to bear. Part of this ceremony involves lighting the holy fire and carrying it to all the regions. · People look upon it as a "purifying flame," and eagerly wait to catch it with twigs, in order to take it to their homes. It symbolizes the process of death and resurrection, and the concept of renewal over destruction and degeneration. Arts and crafts · Diverse cultures and traditions in Kenya imply very rich source of art work. Every community is known for its special kind of art. The most popular items include: Maasai blankets, Kisii soap stone carvings, wooden carvings, Maasai beads, tribal masks, Kangas, kikoi, sisal baskets among others.

TV violence, Essee

However, this isn’t easy task at all, because forbidding children will make them very curious. Another thing to mention is that if possible, parents should watch TV with their children and talk with them about what they have seen. Young children are often unable to separate reality from TV shows. Finally, parents can use a V-chip in some countries, for example in the USA. The V chip is a device that can block transmission of violent programs into homes. The chip would allow parents to prevent a television program from being seen in their homes if a rating system determined that it had a high level of violent or sexually explicit content. In conclusion, I think that TV violence is a serious problem, especially for the younger age group. It’s impossible to remove violence from the TV, but we can lessen the bad influence caused by it.

Roman invasion

Two reasons have been suggested: 1) The Romans were cross with Britain for helping the Gauls (now called the French) fight against the Roman general Julius Caesar. 2) They came to Britain looking for riches - land, slaves, and most of all, iron, lead, zinc, copper, silver and gold. How long did the Romans stay in Britain? The Romans remained in Britain from 43 AD to 410 AD. That is almost four hundred years (four centuries). Why did the Romans leave Britain? Their homes in Italy were being attacked by fierce tribes and every soldier was needed. The River Thames was quick way to transport goods between Britain and the Continent. The Romans saw this and built the town of Londinium around the river's main crossing point. The Romans gave britain: Language The language we used today was developed from the Romans. Environment and renewable energy 1. How can we help bring about a change in behavior? * Renewable energy is the sun and the water that people use, but not yet so widely. Required on all homes, various stations, hypermarkets solar panels to use the potential energy, the stock of which is not completed within 5 billion years. * Renewable sources such as wind and solar are intrinsically unsuited to meeting the demand for continuous, reliable supply on a large scale – which comprises most demand in developed countries. The criteria for any acceptable energy supply will continue to be cost, safety, and security of supply, as well as environmental considerations. 2

EUTHANASIA

The main opposition comes from religious groups, medical associations whose members see practising euthanasia as an inproper exctension of their role as carers. Throughout centuries the doctors' purpose in life has been to cure suffering, how can they be expected to do otherwise, even if it's done for a good cause. The issue has been misinterpreted by some people. They seem to be of the opinion that practicing euthanasia would turn nursing homes into places of fear and elderly people in residencial home are afraid that they will be a candidate. For whatever motive it may be done, all civilisations, all religions have regarded this as morally wrong.

The Major Environmental Problems In Estonia

In fact there are often several articles in newspapers and on television about environmental problems all around the world. To begin with, Estonia is a little country with small towns. In spite of that there is pollution. Most of the people here have their own cars and they prefer driving five hundred meters by car than walking by foot. In addition to that pollution is also caused by industries which are often located in towns near peoples' homes. As Estonia belongs to developed countries, people have enough power purchased and they mindlessly buy things they do not even need. According to that there is overconsumption which also causes huge waste dumps. Lastly there is abuse of the natural resources in Estonia. While wasting paper, people do not think that it is made of both wood and water which should be saved. Therefore there is over-intensive logging and the area of woods is decreasing.

affordable accommodation for them. Most homeless families find temporary accomodation in boarding houses. Some people find even more temporary shelter in hostels for the homeless. Some just live on the streets. In many cases, the homeless are those with personal problems which make it difficult for them to settle down. In some cases, they are peple who simply dont want to settle down. The future More an more people want to live on their own or in small families. Millions of new homes will need to be built in the next decade or so. The problem is not just that Britain is a densely populated country. Housing takes up an awful lot of space and eats up too much countryside. A "green points" system has been drawn up, whereby developers can obtain planning permission only if they achieve a certain score. In this century, almost half of the new homes built have been flats. The question is whether enough people in Britain will accept this more communal, less private, lifestyle.

Christmas in Estonia is probably one of the most celebrated celebration of the year. This celebration lasts for 3 days. The main party in celebrated at two days on 24 th and 25th of December. The Christmas is celebrated mainly for two reasons: because of the J. Christ's birthday and the darkest time of the year. People usually celebrate Christmas at home but there are also some street parades and parties at work or school. They decorate their homes with lots of shiny, colourful and bright lights. They also get the Christmas tree, clean up their house and make or shop for presents to gift someone. During the Christmas people visit their relatives and there's a Christmas Peace all over the world that means that you have to do good things and be nice to everyone. On the Christmas Eve morning some people go to the church. On the Christmas Night they usually have dinner of pork, potatoes, some boiled cabbage and sausages. After

How can people reduce the amount of waste?

Secondly, body do not digest eaten trash. Trash is not the thing one's body should digest. Trash on the ground it is the worst problem which needs solving. Fortunately, there are many campaigns today, which tidy the9ikmmj ground from the waste. To avoid catastrophes, we really should reduce the amounts of waste. It can be done with recycling and composting. There are many collecting centres, that buy old dangerous devices, because they consist dangerous substances. But all starts from homes. Families should sort their trash. Usually everything goes into a trashbin. Actually it is cheaper to sort, so people should really think about it. Reducing the waste is still not that easy. But a lot can be done to make our planet alive again. Nature need humans, who will make the best solutions to hold our land. This should be an idea for every people, who really want to do something really big, something what matters.

To begin with, most women and men want the right to work. I'd start by rationing petrol to cut out unnecessary car journeys. For a start, it would have to be a mixed school and not a boarding establishment. There're two points here. Firstly, the cost to the environment. Think of all the rain forests. Secondly, the advertiser may pay, but the costs are passed on to the consumer. There are two problems here. Some of these homes are a long way from bus routes. Moreover, bus services can disappear altogether when the tourist season comes to an end. .... the economic strength of Japan hasn't led to much teaching of Japanese. The invention of telephone

His research on hearing and speech further led him to experiment with hearing devices which eventually culminated with the telephone in 1876. The first telephone didn't have a bell, so the caller had to tap the phone with a hammer to let the receiver know a call was being sent to them. It was Thomas Watson who invented the bell. Alexander Graham Bell founded The Bell Telephone Company in 1877 to build a nationwide telephone system. By 1881, there were 132 700 Bell telephones in homes. The telephone became one of the most popular methods of communication. People started writing fewer letters and visited less often, so the main problem of 21 st century started already in 19th century. There are now three main types of phones or phone like devices: landline telephones, mobile phones and VoIP phones which are known as an office phones. As we can see now, the telephone has changed society a lot after its invention.

Essay-Environmental problems

It is surprising how our traditional habits can contribute so strongly to environmental problems. They affect the whole world, even our little country Estonia. We, as individuals, are capable of doing anything to save our world. To begin with, everyday life has been disturbed because of COVID-19. Life stopped during this pandemic not only in China where it started, but also across the globe. When we look at the present situation, very many people are confined to their own homes. In Estonia, students can’t go to school normally, they have to stay behind the computer every day and it is very exhausting. Many parents have lost their jobs because of the virus. And still there are people who won’t listen to the government rules and spread the virus further. Secondly, global warming is increasing at an alarming rate with the progress in technology. It is a substantial meal only in welltodo families. It is between five and six o'clock. It is rather a sociable sort of thing, as friends often come in then for a chat while they have their cup of tea, cake or biscuit. In some houses dinner is the biggest meal of the day. But in great many English homes, the midday meal is the chief one of the day, and in the evening there is usually a much simpler supper -- an omelette, or sausages, sometimes bacon and eggs and sometimes just bread and cheese, a cup of coffee or cocoa and fruit.

I was frustrated, because they hadn't delivered my drawings to santa, but then mom explained that because they are so small and carrying things bigger than themselves causes difficulties for them, they make special storage places at people's homes. On the first day they bring all the presents and gifts to the storing room or place and on the last day take all the drawings to santa. Overlooking that i had found the dwarves' storage place, i've still been such a good and well- behaved child that dwarves still come every winter during the Advent.

Big companies prefer robots- they do not ask for pay rises or go on strike, and they work 24 hours a day. By 2050, we will see robots everywhere- in factories, schools, offices, hospitals, shops and homes. In the 2050 every human have an opportunity to go on space travel, because space travels will cost less. Even the poor people can allow this. Schooling will be much better and cheaper (in the long run) in 2050. The word ,,school" will no longer be in our vocabulary. School will be called a ,,work force". Halloween

Halloween Halloween is a holiday in many English speaking countries that is celebrated on the night of October 31st. Children wear costumes and they go to peoples' homes saying "Trick or treat!" to ask for candy, sweets. This practice originally involved a threat. A threat is when someone says that they will do something bad if they do not get what they want. In this case the threat could be explained as: "Give me a treat or I will play a trick on you." Children today usually do not play tricks if they do not get treats. However, some children still get up to mischief (pranks or things to make fun of people; like putting toilet paper in trees; writing on windows with soap or throwing eggs at peoples' houses). People sometimes dress up as ghosts, witches, goblins and other scary things for Halloween. A jack-o-lantern is typically a carved pumpkin. It is associated chiefly with the holiday of Halloween. Renewable energy

source. Renewable energy a.k.a "green" energy. Thank you for listening! We use energy every day. It surrounds us in different forms, such as light, heat, and electricity. Our bodies use the energy stored in molecules of substances like carbohydrates and protein to move, breathe, grow, and think. We also use energy to do work and to play. Humans have invented thousands of machines and appliances that use energy to make our work easier, to heat our homes, and to get ourselves from place to place. Some of these machines use electricity, while others, like automobiles, use the energy stored in substances such as gasoline. Renewable energy is energy generated from natural resources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, and geothermal heat, which are renewable. Renewable energy uses natural resources that can be replaced or "renewed" without harming the environment and does not contribute to the greenhouse effect and global warming

The choice of the barn swallow as a national bird was mainly the result of a campaign conducted by ornithologists at the beginning of the sixties. On the other hand, there is hope for the successful conservation of rare animals. A number of different international organisations have the same goal and work hard to protect both endangered wildlife and natural habitats. a) The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has been protecting nature for already more than 45 years. WWF works in 100 countries and is supported by 5 million members globally. b) Animal Rescue Facilities provide homes for animals in need. They are not being sold, transferred or used for breeding. mainland. They suited their appearance more comfortable for the isolated island and learned how to survive in the wet climate and rather heavy air. The first inhabitants the Iberians also had to change in order to survive. They had to renew their menu from different kinds of plants and animals to those special ones found in the woods of England. Another important change was connected with moving around. The inhabitants were cut off from any tribes that could support them and therefore had to survive on their own. As for more, soon invaders began to change the native population. The Celts, the Romans, the Vikings, then the Normandians all wanted to live somewhere, gain power and finally, settle down. Since they were not the first ones to live in England, it

People with easy access to others feel better connected and more strongly supported by others which leads to happiness. Now, secondly, about the drawbacks of modern life technology. The ease of electronic communication probably leads to weaker social ties, because people have less reason to leave their homes and actually interact face-to-face. It allows people to work from their home, to form friendships from home, to vote and discuss social issues from home. Internet communications can potentially displace face-to-face communications. People tend to loose their real-life communication skills and the generation growing up now has bigger chance to face the problems similar to social anxiety.
