Lebel and the Jackal

Lebel and the Jackal The Jackal was an assassin, signed to murder president of France, Charles de Gaulle. Using fake identities and killing many people, he fails his mission. Claude Lebel was a professional detective, who was hired to catch the Jackal and prevent him from killing de Gaulle, after many failed attempts, he succeeds. The Jackal was known in the book under many names, such as Alexander Duggan, Per Jensen, Marty Schulberg, Andre Martin and Charles Calthrop. That shows that he was indeed a very clever man, he saw everything coming and thought ahead. He was very assured and he knew, what he was doing, he had it all figured out on his mind. He was, as a human, actually quite nice to some...

The Saxons & Vikings

The Saxons & Vikings Fragmentary knowledge of England in the 5th & 6th centuries comes from the British writer Gildas, the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle, saints' lives, poetry, archaelogical findings and place- name studies. British landlords ruled small, unstable kingdoms and continued some Roman traditions of governance. In the mid-5th cent, Vertigern, a British leader, hired Germanic mercenaries to help defend against peoples of the north (Picts & Scots). In the end they revolted & the process of invasion and settlement began. The first Saxon ,,kings" were Hengist & Horsa in Kent, Aelle in Sussex, Cerdic / Cynric in Wessex. So the first ,,English" became mainly from Northern Germany & Denmark. The resistance of the Celts was long. They were free at the time, not like other Roman provinces on the Continent. Around 500, the Britons seem to have won several victories...

Nimetu

I recently saw all of them but unfortunately they are really bad. In the first place you promise that your movies are very funny, but they don´t. The jokes are just lame. Only 5th graders would laugh when they hear the jokes. I know that these movies are meant to be parodys but you should show more respect to the original movies. In addition to that the acting is very poor. You should have hired some well know actors. Maybe they would have saved the movies. Also the movies had lots of mistakes in them. For example the positions of furniture changed in several frames. The mistakes could have been avoided when you had edited the movie more carefully. The worst thing is that the story was very boring and had lots of plotholes in it. Next time you should write a better script like you did in "Scary Movie 3"...

"food" Homereading

A partnership in association with the Pokémon franchise at the height of its popularity in 1999 was one of the most successful in the industry, rivaled only by McDonald's/Ty Beanie Babies cross- promotion in 19992000. Shortly after the acquisition of Burger King by TPG Capital, L.P. in 2002, its newly hired CEO Bradley (Brad) Blum set about turning around fortunes of the company by initiating an overhaul its flailing advertising programs. One of the first moves by the company was to reinstate its famous Have it your way slogan as the corporate motto. BK handed the effort off to its new advertising agency, Miami-based Crispin Porter + Bogusky (abbreviated as CP+B). CP+B was known for having a hip, subversive tack when creating campaigns for its clients, exactly what BK was looking for...

Ibiza

A shrine with offerings to the goddess Tanit was established in the cave at Es Culleram, and the rest of the Balearic Islands entered Eivissa's commercial orbit after 400 BC. Ibiza was a major trading post along the Mediterranean routes. Ibiza began establishing its own trading stations along the nearby Balearic island of Majorca such as Na Guardis, from which large quantities of renowned Balearic slingers were hired as mercenaries who fought for Carthage. During the Second Punic War, the island was assaulted by the two Scipio brothers in 209 BC but remained loyal to Carthage. With Carthaginian military luck running out on the Iberian mainland, Ibiza was last used by the fleeing Carthaginian General Mago to gather supplies and men before sailing to Minorca and then to Liguria. Ibiza negotiated a favorable treaty with the...

Ibiza was a major trading post along the Mediterranean routes. Ibiza began establishing its own trading stations along the nearby Balearic island of Majorca such as Na Guardis, from which large quantities of renowned Balearic slingers were hired as mercenaries who fought for Carthage. The island was reclaimed for Christendom by Aragonese King James I of Aragon in 1235. Since then, the island has had its own self- government in several forms but in 1715 King Philip V of Spain abolished the local government's autonomy. The arrival of democracy in the late 1970s led to the Statute of Autonomy of the Balearic Islands. Today the island is part of the Balearic Autonomous Community, along with Majorca,...

The Most Exciting Holiday of My Life

I was there with my family and with aunt and her husband. We were in a nice hotel near the beach. The second day I wanted to go shopping in the city but my parents disagreed. They suggested that we should go sightseeing. At last we found that we could go walk in the beach where also were many shops. But it was miles away, so we had to rent a car. We could rent a car from our hotel's reception. Unfortunately we were told that all cars were hired out. Then my parents suggested to spend the day swimming in a hotel pool, but I didn't feel spending my day like this. We found a place to hire cars near the hotel. The only available car was Citroën C1. This was really small, but our only choice. We fitted ourselves very uncomfortably in this little car and drove to that ci...

Trafalgar Square

The square used to be famous for its feral pigeons, and feeding them was a popular activity with Londoners and tourists, but it is banned now on the square's pedestrianised North Terrace, the entire perimeter of the square, the area around St Martin-in-the-Fields Church, the space directly in front of the National Gallery, Canada House, South Africa House and parts of The Mall, Charing Cross Road and The Strand.[25] There are now few birds in Trafalgar Square and it is used for festivals and hired out to film companies in a way that was not feasible in the 1990s. Redevelopment Members of the public read plans to pedestrianise part of the square, February 2003 In 2003 the redevelopment of the north side of the square was completed. The work involved permanently closing the main eastbound road there diverting it around the rest of the square and demolishing part of the wall and building a wide set of stairs. This construction includes...
