Michael loved teaching, especially poetry, which he discovered through the poems of Ted Hughes. He stopped teaching to become a full-time writer when he started the farm. He writes sitting propped up on the bed, with a thin pen on lined paper which he fills as much as possible as he hates turning over and starting a new page! He hates rewriting stories and he hates making corrections. Favorites among his own books. Favorites among his own books are The Butterfly Lion, Kensuke´s Kingdom, War Horse and Private Peaceful. Family or friends- which are more important

Friends often put upon your charitableness so you can't always trust them. There is only certain kind of friends who are trustable and you understand it yourself who is and who's not. Friends are who you can trust and share some things you can't never tell to your family. Friends are first people you call and ask out if you're bored, nobody askes her family out because we are with them everyday. Family is who want's to be with you everytime even if everybody hates you, they will be there for you! There is different kind of friends: trustable, backbiters, funny, fake etc. Also is different kind of family to: supportive, benevolent, uninterested, ill-natured etc. But is people who think friends are more important.. I think there is no better, warmer place than around our dear family and nothing excel it. Friends might be special and sweet, but never so much than family.

Dorian Gray

This grows concern in Basil, who has deep feelings for Dorian and Basil tries to put some sense into the boy's mind. After Dorian had killed Basil, the same coldness and indifference, which had been there after Sibyl's suicide, appear again. All the sins that Dorian makes reveal themselves on the portrait. He keeps the door locked, but sometimes goes to see what he really has become. The picture that he sees is so horrifying that ultimately he hates it so much that throws a knife into the heart of the Dorian in the picture. After death the portrait turns back to original and the body could only be recognized by the rings that Dorian wore. The price that Dorian paid for his long-lasting youth was too high. I would never wish to be young forever if it would turn me into such a monster as Dorian was.

Review - Top Gear

Every episode they change car positions. The latest episode was very funny. UK Top Gear competed with Australian Top Gear team. UK won competition overall because they cheated with last challenge. They should use James May in WRC racing but they knew May isn´t fast driver and they used the Stig, like they used to beat Germans in racing. The presenters are journalists. They like to drive with a car and drink beer at the bar. All of them like to ride a motorcycle, but not Jeremy. He hates motorcycles. He doesn´t understand to how ride with motorcycle. When they was in Vietnam, they had to ride with motorcycle, but Jeremy wasn´t good to ride with that. The others took good bikes but Jeremy took the worst bike ever. He failed there. At the moment Jeremy haven´t bike and he drives with Mercedes and Ford. Richard Hammond is a bit different then Jeremy. He likes different cars than Jeremy or even James. He loves very light and fast cars and he loves motorcycles

TWILIGHT-CHAPTER TWO-OPEN BOOK

While the rest of the week passes quietly for Bella, there is still no sign of Edward in school. She is still concerned that she may be the reason Edward is not there. Bella spends the weekend cleaning, doing homework and sending her mother emails that say she's happy even though she isn't really. Bella also went to the library but is so disappointed in their selection that she decides to go to Olympia or Seattle later. Back in school on the Monday it snows much to Bella's horror as she hates snow. At lunch Bella realises there are five people on the table in the corner Edward is back at school; Bella immediately feels unaccountably self-conscious and nervous. In biology Bella is given as shock when Edward talks to her and they continue to converse throughout the lab they are working on, although his initial smile had made Bella incapable of speech, mesmerizing her like the faces of the Cullens and the Hales.. becoming a vampire; he is determined that Bella's decision should be unforced. Bella asks Edward why he doesn't want her to be a vampire, thinking it has to do with the fact that she will no longer be soft and warm and tempting. Edward laughs and reassures her that she'll be the same girl he has always loved -- just a little more durable. In spite of the human aspects that he will miss, he tells her it will mostly be a relief not to have to worry about killing her. But he hates the idea of changing her because staying human would be such a better choice for her. It seems criminally selfish to him to allow her to become a vampire (and possibly lose her soul) just so he can keep her forever. If there were any way for him to become human for her he'd do it, whatever the cost. To Bella's horror, Edward then asks Bella why she won't marry him. After many evasions, she admits that she finds the idea of getting married straight out of high school embarrassing and ridiculous

Othello opens in the stately city of Venice

 Gratiano - As Desdemona’s uncle, he arrives and finds Cassio injured after Roderigo and Iago attack him. Act 1 Scene 1 The play opens with a conversation between Iago and Roderigo on a street in Venice. Roderigo is a failed suitor of Desdemona, having paid Iago to help win her hand. During this scene, Roderigo has just discovered that Desdemona and Othello were recently married. Iago assures Roderigo that, even though he serves as an ensign for Othello, he hates the man. His hatred is due to Othello passing over Iago for promotion in favor of Cassio, someone with considerably less experience than Iago in battle and in the field. He states explicitly his intentions to follow Othello only in appearance, waiting for his chance to act. Iago incites Roderigo to go to Desdemona’s father, Brabantio and rile him against the marriage. The two shout in the street of thievery, waking the Senator and work to convince the man that his

He was hostile against the social order in the usa. The central theme in his writings is the criticism of basic institutions of american society. Interestingly, he wasnt just a social critic but one of the best experimentalists. Anti war novel called ,,Three soldiers". Dos Passos went to Europe, served for a while. Three main characters, three young soldiers. One is Dan Fuselli, he is an optical worker from San Francisco, naively thinks that war is fun, Chris Field, farmboy, hates the army, was forced to join it. John Andrews, he is the intellectual of the three. He is also very sensitive young man and wants to be a musician. He and Chris Field desert the army. Andrews hides with a French girl and starts writing a symphony and is arrested later. War is hostile to the artist. And destructive of his art. This novel is written in more or less anti war. ,,Manhattan transfer"- truly modernist novel. Ruinous effect of capitalism on human lives. The scene of action is New York

so-called lost generation--men who went straight from childhood to fighting in World War I, often as adolescents. Paul frequently considers the past and the future from the perspective of his entire generation, noting that, when the war ends, he and his friends will not know what to do, as they have learned to be adults only while fighting the war. The longer that Paul survives the war and the more that he hates it, the less certain he is that life will be better for him after it ends. This anxiety arises from his belief that the war will have ruined his generation, will have so eviscerated his and his friends' minds that they will always be "bewildered." Against such depressing expectations, Paul is relieved by his death: "his face had an expression of calm, as though almost glad the end had come." The war becomes not merely a traumatic

Still, stubborn Anna will not listen to his reasoning. She will proceed in torment. Chapters 26-35 Karenin gets angry with Anna for ignoring him at the race. When he confronts her with this on the way home, she bluntly declares that she is in love with Vronsky, and that she hates Karenin. Karenin bounces back with a typical response, one detached from all emotion. He tells Anna she needs to act in public as though she were a good, obedient wife. Otherwise, Karenin's pride is on the line, and that isn't fair to him. Karenin feels no personal surprise or anger at Anna's outburst. THE CAPITALIST NIGER

Failure is never an option as a Capitalist Nigger There is racism everywhere, there is racism by Caucasians against Blacks and vice versa; there is racism by Caucasians against Jews; there us racism by Jews against Italians and vice versa; everyone has somebody he or she doesn’t like. In fact, husbands and wives disagree; parents and children disagree; brothers and sisters disagree ad infinitum. But Africans go through life always believing somebody hates them or dislikes them and this negates reaching goals. It has been said that what you wish is what you 5 get. You have to demand what is due you. You cannot let somebody’s hatred or dislike deter you from dream. Their dream is not your dream. In fact, their years of persecuting Blacks have made them guilty. A capitalist Nigger must exploit their guilt to ensure that they assist in reaching his goals.

Jane Austen

Certain it is, that the living became vacant two years ago, exactly as I was of an age to hold it, and that it was given to another man; and no less certain is it, that I cannot accuse myself of having really done anything to deserve to lose it. I have a warm, unguarded temper, and I may have spoken my opinion of him, and to him, too freely. I can recall nothing worse. But the fact is, that we are very different sort of men, and that he hates me." "This is quite shocking! He deserves to be publicly disgraced." "Some time or other he will be--but it shall not be by me. Till I can forget his father, I can never defy or expose him." Elizabeth honoured him for such feelings, and thought him handsomer than ever as he expressed them. "But what," said she, after a pause, "can have been his motive? What can have induced him to behave so cruelly?"

Cats

You can very clearly see the blood vessels beneath the iris which can be a bit creepy, because when the light hits Pangur in the right way, her entire eye turns a muted pinkish red. In the dark, they reflect bright red. Pangur is an indoor cat, and has only been into the backyard under supervision. In direct sunlight, she's unable to open her eyes, and has to squint through little slits. She also squints when looking out of windows. She's very sensitive to light, and hates being photographed using flash. In contrast to her poor daytime vision, she can see very well in the right lighting. Her hearing has been tested by the vet and is perfect. Emma has checked Pangur’s pedigree and found inbreeding. Pangur has two grandmothers, but only one grandfather, which means her parents are half-siblings. It seems likely that the grandfather passed on his recessive albinism gene to Pangur’s parents, and Pangur inherited two copies of the gene. One of her

703. What's Minnie without Mickey , what's Tigger without Pooh , what's Spongebob without Patrick , what's me without you ? 704. I need you like a heart needs a beat 705. Nii lühike, kui üks silmapilk ka pole, on ta alati kordumatu. Kui sa hetke ei kasuta, raiskad sa võibolla kogu oma elu 706. A New Earth

inner consistency and logic so that it sometimes fools others into believing it too. Sometimes organizations or entire nations have paranoid belief systems at their very basis. The ego's fear and distrust of other people, its tendency to emphasize the “otherness” of others by focusing on their perceived faults and make those faults into their identity, is taken a little further and makes others into inhuman monsters. The ego needs others, but its dilemma is that deep down it hates and fears them. Jean-Paul Sartre's statement “Hell is other people” is the voice of the ego. The person suffering from paranoia experiences that hell most acutely, but everyone in whom the egoic patterns still operate will feel it to some degree. The stronger the ego in you, the more likely it is that in your perception other people are the main source of problems in your life. It is also more than likely that you will make life difficult for others

Dey Bared to You RuLit Net

Gideon wrapped his arms around me. "Yuck," I whispered, snuggling carefully into him so I didn't get makeup on his lapel. "Majorly creepy. I feel bad for her." He exhaled harshly. "That's Christopher." "Asshole. That smug look on his face-Ugh." I shuddered. Pressing his lips to my hair, he murmured, "I thought Maggie would be safe from him. Our mothers have known each other for years. I forget how much he hates me." "Why?" I wondered briefly if the nightmares Gideon had were related to Christopher, then I put the thought aside. No way. Gideon was older by several years and tougher all the way around. He'd kick Christopher's ass. "He thinks I got all the attention when we were younger," Gideon said wearily, "because everyone was worried about how I was handling my father's suicide. So he wants what's mine. Everything he can get his hands on."

Christopher Vogler The Writers Journey

In Ghost, the hero was unable to say "I love you" in his Ordinary World. But at the Return, having died and passed many tests in the land of death, he is able to say these all-important words so that his still-living wife can hear them. In Ordinary People, the young hero Conrad is so depressed in his Ordinary World that he can't eat the French toast his mother makes for him. It's an outward sign of his inner problem, his inability to accept love because he hates himself for surviving his brother. In the Return, having passed through several death-and-rebirth ordeals, he goes to apologize to his girlfriend for acting like a jerk. W h e n she asks him to come inside for some breakfast, this time he finds he has an appetite. H i s ability to eat is an outward sign of his inner change. T h i s actual change in behavior is more dramatically effective than Conrad just saying he feels different, or someone

The 4-Hour Body - An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-Loss, Incredible Sex, and Becoming Superhuman - Timothy Ferriss

varying heights, jumping rope, or even a few short, fast 10-meter runs if space is available. First choice is two to four 1015-meter sprints. This provides at least two times bodyweight borne by each leg upon impact. Second choice is five to seven 1218-inch box jumps. 4. Core exercise: the Torture Twist, 35 sets of 35 reps (30 seconds between sets). For the core, Barry now only uses one exercise: the Torture Twist. Every single trainee who uses it hates it. To perform the Torture Twist, set yourself perpendicular on a bench so that you look like a cross from above. Hold your feet under a pole in a power rack or, worst case, under another bench.11 Does this look like a bulky powerlifter? No, it looks like a normal high school girl. Normal, except that she's 132 pounds and can deadlift 405 pounds! Holy emasculation, Batman! Remain parallel to the ground for each set and come up to sitting position for 30 seconds of rest between sets
