Happiness

All depends on a person's character and personality. Of course there are few people who just "go with the flow" and do not worry about everything. They just enjoy life itself and try to inspire those who are too consistent. If the humanity would take some time and think about the idiotic things they whine about they would realize that they are way too overrating and that life is too short for it. Money is definitely one of the most vital sources of happiness. Also in this subject the lack of it which brings the unhappiness all over the world. We cannot deny the importance of it but we must value what we have and not cry over the things we do not. Some of us are rich and wealthy, some of us are not. Usually it is so that people who cannot afford everything and who have suffered more in life are living in reality with both feet on the ground. I admire them due to the fact that sometimes I get 10 feet off the ground and I do not want to come down

Essee: Can money buy happiness?

Can money buy happiness Since I can remember I have heard people say, that money cannot buy happiness. I generally believe it to be true; the most important things in life, such as friends, family and love can't be bought. However, in today's world we must agree that life without money can be really stressful and hard. If one doesn't have any money, one can't afford to pay rent, buy food, clothes, get medical help if needed or basically do anything. For example, people in developing countries are very poor, they don't have access to pure drinking water or food and they are unable to get

Wealth does not bring happiness essay

Wealth does not bring happiness People work for money, play lottery for money and some of us even commit crimes to get money. It sometimes seems that wealth is the main values in life but it does not actually bring happiness. No matter how wealthy you are, you still can not buy love or friends. Even worse, people that seem to care about you may only be intrested in your money. Furthermore, some people work for their lives to get wealthy but unfortunately, they forget about the most important- their families. Wealth can change people the way they in point of fact never wanted to change. On the other hand, being wealthy prevents financial problems and this means less worrying

Wealth does not bring happiness. True or false?

That sort of people are usually older than the wasters. Living in a country with almost 10% of the people unemployed, we're jealous of both. Probably almost every day we catch ourselves on a thought, "I wish I was that rich, I wish I was the man on TV." No matter how hard we try though, we won't. It's nearly impossible to win a lottery and there frankly isn't any other ways of getting rich very quickly. But how many other people would know to tell us about if wealth brings happiness or not? All the other rich people have been rich for their whole lives, they don't have anything to compare. And poor people dreaming can tell even less because they've never had such money and they don't know what it takes to stay wealthy and not fall hard back to being poor. In the end, wealth does help you a lot. It makes your life so much easier so you can concentrate on either getting more money or on your hobbies. On the other hand, it can also make your life more difficult

"Wealth does not bring happiness"

Wealth does not bring happiness Wealth does not make people happy. People often think that if they were rich, everything would be fine. That is true that life would be easier and also we cannot live without money. But if we think about it seriously, wealth does not make us happy.Friends, family and relationships in your life make you happy. All that wealth can get you is material goods. First of all wealth does not get you real friends,it gets you people who like you for your money.I am also sure that it does not make your realtionships better with your family or old friends. So wealth can make you lose the most important things in life. Being wealthy is not only a bad thing. It can make you happy, but it is mostly temporary. With money you can to a lot of travel, also you can buy what you like despite the price. I think the best thing about being wealthy is to get to do what you like. To conclude wealth can ruin realtionships but it also...

Isekuse sajand

Wealth does not bring happiness. True or falce? Many people believe that you can do anything if you have money, they believe that money brings happiness, great fortune, fame and health. You have power and you can buy whatever you like. On one hand, it is true but on the other hand it is false. Money can improve your lifestyle in many ways. It can help you buy fresh food, it can help you get good medical care. Money also allows you to travel and meet new people, new places and new civilizations. It permits you to have a lot of free time to relax, do the things you like and buy all the stuff you like.

„Hope I Die Before I Get Old: Mispredicting Happiness Across the Adult Lifespan“

Kairi Laur IK12 AÜ ,,Hope I Die Before I Get Old: Mispredicting Happiness Across the Adult Lifespan" Heather P. Lacey, Dylan M. Smith ja Peter A. Ubel. 2006. ,,Journal of Happiness Studies" Käesolev artikkel käsitleb teemat, kuidas inimestel on kalduvus ülehinnata asjaolude mõju enda heaolule, mida tõestavad laialdaselt erinevad elusündmused, kuid tajutav vananemise mõju heaolule on suuresti jäänud tähelepanuta. Inimesed näivad kartvat vananeda, hoolimata tõenditest, et heaolu paraneb vanusega. Autorid võrdlesid, kuidas mõistavad õnne nooremad täiskasvanud (keskmine vanus = 31) ja vanemad täiskasvanud (keskmine vanus = 68) koos

DOES MONEY BUY EVERYTHING?

We use money not only to meet the basic needs of life but also to pay for our own advancement. We use it for education which helps us to live a better life. But does money buy everything, especially happines? We live in a material world and most of our lives depend on materials for happiness and comfort. All of these materials have to be purchased and so on a very basic level, without money, you cannot survive, at least not very comfortably. This is the very first level of money buying happiness, money can buy things necessary for survival and without life, there is no happiness. Some people say that they have money but they are not still pleased, the reason is that we're always spending on the wrong things, and in particular that we're always spending it on ourselves, you should stop thinking about which product to buy for yourself, and try giving some of it to other people instead. On the other hand there are many things money can not buy. Money can buy a big house, but not a home

Money makes the world go round

People use their money differently, for example their are celebrities who waste money on 5 different cars and 4 houses just to show they are rich but there are also people like Bill Gates who are very humble and donate huge amount of their money to help people who can not help themselves. Our grandparents always told us that money cannot buy happiness. The fact is they were wrong. Scientists have studied the connection between money and happiness. Their conclusion is that there is a positive connection between the two. I myself have always considered money to be an important thing but not as important as happiness but i also considered a possibility that money can buy me happiness, so my conclusion is that money is the most powerful and important thing in the current world in which we live.

Where is love there is hapiness

Raido Hiiuväin 11b ,,Where there is love there is hapiness" I think that love is the key to happiness. Very often people think that all kind of material things make them happy, but usually this is wrong. People seem to realise that only then, when they lose a friend or close person. After these situations they become to realise that family, friends and good relationships are the most important. Where there is love there is happiness I totally agree. I think that love can make people feel happy. Money, fancy clothes and sportcars do not make anyone happy without warm and close people around

Law-makers breaking the law: torture as a justified interrogation technique?

consequentialism / utilitarianism been labelled justifiable to use torture techniques in combating terrorism and will present the reasons for why this controversial behaviour that democratic governments have been proven to conduct and still are being accused of until the current day is irrational and dangerous. Theoretical justification of torture The utilitarian view that a political leader should allow torture to rescue civilians’ lives is justified by that this would result in maximum happiness for the greatest number of people. It is said that in case of a moral dilemma there is never the possibility of 2 complete justification. Torture is illegal but if human lives can be saved, it is worth it. This disregards the act itself and only looks at the result (Driver, 2014). Hedonism supposes that a decision is ethically correct if the consequence brings

Animal communication - CATS

· Purring is often understood as signifying happiness; however, cats sometimes purr when they are ill, or during tense, traumatic, or painful moments. Body language · Cats communicate a variety of messages using body language. Examples include arching their backs as a signal of fear or aggression, and slowly blinking to signal relaxation. A cat that chooses to lie with its stomach and chest exposed conveys happiness, trust, and comfort. Flattened ears mean that the cat feels threatened, and may attack. Mouth open and no teeth exposed suggests a feeling of playfulness.

hetke igaveseks jääda ja end tuleviku eest kaitsta. The film itself was very sad and involved two complitely different sides of life love and pain it costs. First the film fooled me and gave me a reason to believe that there is really love, that makes people happy. True, there is such thing as true love, but does it always makes us happy? And if it makes, than for how long? Actors did a really good job, their eye and body language revealed happiness, trust, love and desire. The couple tried to work it out, when John went back to the military, but next to the distance was another important aspect time. When the time passed, both lives moved on and in both lives happened a lot. Then the film convinced me, that love isn't only trust, yearning for the loved one and desire, but also a terrible pain that makes people act the way that hurts themselves. When Savannah married

Essay - The best things in life are free

The best things in life are free There is a saying that the best things in life are free. It's certainly true that money can't buy you happiness, but can you truly be happy if you don't have any money at all? On one hand, things like food, clothes and having a decent home to live in are quite essential to living a happy and normal life. These are basic needs that humans have, but none of those are free and they all cost money. But, for all that money is useful and good to have around, for all that it can buy, there are quite a few things that it can't buy. Money can't buy you thing like friends and family, love,

Marriage is an outdated institution

My advice is : Do not get married. There are so many advantages of not getting married. You don't have to deal with the financial stress of planning a wedding- the dress, the rings the vows and so on. You will never have to deal with divorce, ever. No last name drama. Bu t don't get me wrong. For many people getting married is a symbol of love and it is extremely important to them but i do not see the point of getting married and paying money to prove your love. To conclusion, the Happiness doesn't depend on the events, happiness depends upon ourselves.

On the other hand, many people claim that one of the factors in life, which is undoubtedly of greater importance than money health. It is said, health is 'a blessing that money cannot buy'. What is more, money is of little consolation to those who are suffering from health problems. Despite the fact that money can pay for the best medical care available, this is no guarantee for a longer life In addition, most people would agree that personal happiness easily outweighs money in importance. Even if an individual is extremely rich, this does not necessarily lead to happiness. In some cases, the contrary is true and vast wealth brings with it a whole range of problems and insecurities. To sum it all up, although there are those who would rank money as the single most important thing in life, most people would disagree. Money, has an important part to play but perhaps

For many people, money is the most important thing in the world

For many people, money is the most important thing in the world What is the meaning of life? What is happiness? Surely everyone has asked these questions from himself and has thought about that. It can not be answered the same, because people have different personalities and value judgements. It looks like for some people happiness depends on that how much money they can earn. Money is for them the most important thing in the world. Somehow money is important for all of us. We need it for everything: to buy food, clothes and other bare necessities. Also we buy other things and services that are less necessity, but we just want to buy them. Money is resource for buying things, is it also a purpose? Why are we studying? Because we want to get a good job, it means for one thing that we want to get big salary

his mind off of her, the best divertissement turns out to be the war itself. When Catherine instructs him not to think about her when they are apart, Henry replies, "That's how I worked it at the front. But there was something to do then." The transformations of the war from fatal threat into divertissement and love from distraction into pain signal not only Henry's attachment to Catherine but also the transitory nature of happiness. Pathos radiates from this fleeting happiness because, even though happiness is temporary, the pursuit of it remains necessary. Perhaps an understanding of the limits of happiness explains the count's comment that though he values love most in life, he is not wise for doing so. The count is wiser than he claims, however. He hedges against the transitory nature of love by finding pleasure and amusement in games, birthday parties, and the taking of "a little stimulant." That one can depend on their simple

unhappy. Werther thought that all he did was best for everyone but he actually did not realize that with his behavior he was only hurting the people closest to him. Most of his thoughts and actions are based on his self-esteem, he is aspiring towards better solutions but does not really understand that the decisions he makes are not too good in the overall perspective. Although Werther has some brighter moments he cannot find peace and happiness in his mind and body, he is always wondering wat if... The selfishness can be seen in two turning-points of the book, when Werther leaves Wahlheim (place where Lotte lives) and when he commits suicide. From his point of view these are the only solutions but he is not thinking about Lotte who really appreciates him as a dear friend. Werthers low self-esteem and unhappiness are connected to his decisions throughout the book, for example when he leaves Lotte and turns back to Weimar

Book report/review "The Snow Child"

The author knew exactly what kind of a message she wanted to bring to the reader and I believe that she succeeded. One specific point, which left me a bit confused was Fauna, the snow girl. I still can not understand how and why she woke up and became a real person. I guess this is the fact, which makes this book special, but I would have liked the book more if the author would have added a story about how she woke up. In general it was book that was a perfect combination of happiness and sadness. Happiness and sadness were in balance, however the book ended sadly. I would recommend this book to everyone, I see it as one of those books, which you have to add to your have-to-read list.

Dog Communication

Dog Communication Kristjan Olt Dog communication comes in a variety of forms, and is part of the foundation of dog social behaviour. Dogs use certain movements of their bodies and body parts and different vocalizations to express their emotions. One gesture may mean many different things. For example a tail wag may mean: Excitement Playfulness Happiness Anxiety Greeting ritual When one dog meets another dog, they usually walk around each other, sniff each other or even bark if they don't like something Body movements Tail position usually shows dog's mood. Ear position shows dogs level of attention Mouth expressions inform us about dogs mood Dogs use their tongue to lick each other and that is the sign of friendliness. Dogs stamp their legs when exited. The position of head is a sign of curiosity.

Another tradition before the weddings is a "baby rolling" tradition. During this thing the friends' and relatives' babies are being gently rolled from one side to another on the matrimonial bed. The bed is also strewn with rose petals, coins and sugar-coated almonds. It is all supposed to bring fertility, happiness and prosperity to the new marriage. Of course the well known tradition of groom not seeing his bride in her wedding dress before the ceremony is considered bad luck in Greece too. Koumbaros is the most important person man at a Greek wedding who is not the groom or the priest. Usually that man is the groom's godfather, but it can also be some other man, who is named as a mark of great honor. He has an extended duties during the ceremony

Is job satisfaction more important than money?

Is job satisfaction more important than money? There are many people who are in jobs they dislike. If you ask them about unsatisfying jobs, they definitely will answer that they do it because money is more important than job satisfaction. On the contrary, I do not agree with them. Firstly, money cannot buy you happiness. Like it is said, chase money and you will always be running. Moreover, you have only got one life to live happily and happy are you only then, when you have a rewarding job. Secondly, do what you love and the money will follow. Some people are convinced of job importants - enjoy the job you do and you may get promoted and get a pay rise. On the other hand, money is also important. Only with job satisfaction, you do not pay bills

Essay You can never have too much money

Also it is often said that money changes people. It is obvious that it changes how people look, but what is more important, is that wanting more and more money changes people’s values. There is nothing wrong with wanting a little bigger salary, more money from parents and so on, but you must remember that you can not be greedy and selfish. Perhaps people should pay more attention on things that do not cost, for example friendship. Money usually brings people happiness since you have the ability to buy food on your table and a roof above your head, however it takes time and energy to earn it. You may get tired, stressed and eventually it might cause other problems. Therefore I think that when you have money and you know how to use it the right way, then you can never have too much of it. Of course I am nobody to tell someone how to live their life, but in my opinion everybody should balance their attention and priorities

Homereading - body language

It must be judged as a whole. Several elements must be in accordance if you are to draw any firm conclusions about a person. He or she being insecure for example. In order to reach your conclusion you must also pay attention to facial expression, the mouth's position, eye movements and pupil dilation and retraction. Research has shown that the speaker's face is the most reliable source of information about the mood of a person. It is through visual experiences that happiness, surprise, anger or contempt is communicated while auditory experiences communicate fear. In order to ascertain the mood of the speaker you must observe facial muscles.. · How they are tightened and loosened. · How the lines around the mouth are softened. · How the wrinkles around the eyes can make them shine with happiness when that is the feeling the face has to express. The same features express anger and contempt, while softer features are taken to express

Mõnikord võidakse ka elamist ennast pidada eneseküllaseks väärtuseks (s.t elu ise ongi elu mõte) “You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.” ― Albert Camus

The Coca-Cola presentation

1886. About nine servings of the soft drink were sold each day. The first year of the sales were a big loss which is quite logical i think. Until 1905, the soft drink, marketed as a tonic, contained extracts of cocaine as well as the caffeine-rich kola nut sales went up strictly. On April 23, 1985, the trade secret "New Coke" formula was released. My ideal mate

"My Ideal Mate" I could come up with a very long list of qualities and attributes that I would like for my ideal mate to possess. First of all, I would like for him to have a great personality and sense of humor. He should be kind, loyal, honest, loving, sincere, affectionate, and caring. He should also possess the qualities of maturity, integrity, and generosity. He must have good morals and values and be a non-smoker and non-drinker. I would like for my ideal man to be handsome and attractive in his appearance. He would need to be open to the ideas of commitment, marriage, and starting a family someday, because that is very important to me. My ideal mate would be a wonderful husband and father. He should be able to openly communicate his thoughts and feelings and share everything that is important to him with me. I would like for our relationship to be the kind of loving, trusting relationship that everyone as...

Essee Marilyn Manson album ''Eat me Drink me''

Mina kuulasin läbi Marilyn Mansoni albumi ''Eat me, Drink me''. Kogu album kestab kokku 52 minutit. Antud plaat on saanud inspiratsiooni Lewis Carroll'i raamatust ''Alice imedemaal'' . Albumi pealkiri on tulnud sellest, kuidas Alice leidis pudeli, mille peale oli kirjutatud ''Joo mind!'' ning hiljem leidis koogi, mille juures oli silt ''Söö mind!''. (''Eat me, Drink me'', Wikipedia, 15.09.2011); (''Alice's Adventures in Wonderland'', Wikipedia, 15.09.2011) ''See on nii sünge muusika,'' ütles ema mu toast mööda kõndides, kui kuulasin seda plaati.

SHOPPING addiction

it cause debts. And if the people realese from this addiction ,there is a good idea for the future to go shopping only with friends or relatives who don't compulsively spend money and they can help you to curb your spending. And on the other hand it isn't mediceable because there are people who don't want to go in any groups and there are also people who don't admit that their shopping is problematic, .And those people just continue shopping and spend their money and have a feeling of happiness and power, but later they may get back in reality and they need more and more high emotions and they will go shopping and spending money again. Finally people with this addiction spend all they money ,they may miss work, school,ot other places to go shopping.Later they would have financial problems, and in some cases bankruptcy or extreme debt and a sense of life go out of control. The resulting stress can lead to physical health problems and ruined relationships, or even suicide.

Charles Montgomery found out that the most important ingredient of human happiness is social connections. So the more trusting cities are, the more happier they are. Smart cities can make life easier thanks to different solutions like smart lighting, dynamic information, environment stations, automatic watering, park assistance, connected waste containers, flow management and so on.
