Eestlane-Kes ta on ? Tihtipeale tekib küsimus 'Kes eestlane on?'. Ei saa öelda kindlaid iseloomujooni, mis eestlastel on. Iga inimene on isemoodi ja kõikidel on erinev iseloom ja käitumine. Kuid siiski saame me rääkida enamikest inimestest.

Illegal Immigration in America Essay Often the United States is referred to as the land of opportunity. No wonder a lot of people want to experience it – in fact a survey found out that about 165 million adults worldwide would immigrate to the United States if they had the opportunity. Unfortunately not everyone who decides to live in America does it legally and that’s where the problems begin. Illegal immigration is not a new issue in the United States. For many years immigrants have crossed the American border through Mexico, the Pacific Ocean or some other way. Also there are people who enter the country with a visa but stay for a longer time than it allows them to. Every day thousands of immigrants come to the United States and in March 2010 the estimated number of illegal aliens in the States was about 11 200 000. About eight million of them had jobs. ...
Once upon a time there was a boy named Sebastian. He had a gorgeous mother, who was very kind and helpful, her name was Cassy. One late night an old woman came to their door. She was sick and dieing and she said: ''I know you are helpful. So I ask you, could you go Far Far Away and bring me green flowers? These flowers could help me to heal.'' Cassy agreed and said: ''I pack my suitcase tomorrow morning.'' Then she went to Sebastian and told him: ''I'm going to leave tomorrow morning and will be back after a week.'' Sebastian was in the bed and very sleepy, he couldn't understand and he thought this was just a dream, but in the morning he understood this was real. Cassy was already half way to Far Far Away when she reached ocean. At the beach she saw red bubbles shaped as big basketballs. Crossing beach made her journey much harder. Finally she reached Far Far Away. It was really snowy there. Despite the snow there were green flowers ev...

Green Technologies - innovation and climate change sustainagility Scientists can examine ice, but they cannot tell out anything about our future. Even if scientist has lived thousand years he won't be able to do it. The graph in video shows that the amount on carbon dioxide rises and then rises the temperature, but it is not so, it is exactly the opposite. One way to save energy is to build better buildings, because big headquarters are built to last only for 30-35 years. Building them up and pulling them down needs a lot of energy and about 30% of building energy is spent on it. It is thought that if in Tokyo 50% of all roofs are green it will save 1 million dollars a day of Tokyo businesses in cooling costs. Street light use 5% of energy, but it can be reduced to 2%. Usual TVs should be replaced with Plasma TV, because it saves energy more. By driving electic-car, it is possible to save energy a...
Dear Sir/Madam, My name is (your name) I am writing this letter to explain my purpose in applying to The Green School in Bali, Indonesia. My wish is to start studying in your school for a year. I am currently studying at (your school) in Estonia. Our school is steeped in nature subjects, like biology, chemistry and geography and we often take lessons outdoors. Our teachers also plan different trips to nature preservs, national parks and to the woods. So I think it would be very useful to me to study in your greenest school on earth and I can share my experiences and knowledge with your school and students. I am applying to the Green School for several reasons. I am usually dealing with music, but I have taken part of chemistry workshops for a two years. My wish is to improve my English skills about green thinking and ecology. I also want to learn more about this holistic vision what you are practising on your students. I have never h...

Report The aim of this report is to give information about what kind of items should be sold as our school's souvenirs. Many people think that items sold as souvenirs should be items that a person uses on a daily basis. The best items to sell would be mugs, pens and T-shirts. Our school emblem is an eagle spreading it's wings, therefore, the souvenirs should have a picture of an eagle on them. Another option would be to print our school's initials on those items. Initials do not take much space and above all they are practical. It is believed that red and yellow are irritating colors, blue and green on the other hand are soothing. Keeping that in mind, the souvenirs should be in blue and green shades. Text on the souvenirs should be in black as black catches the eye. One part of the backround should be in white because it brings out the main thought which is to symbolize...
My Most Unforgettable Childhood Experience I was spending my holiday in my summer cottage. It was a warm night and we were playing cards i my friend's balcony. It was about 1o'clock a.m. and we were getting sleepy. We decided to go to sleep and as my parents were already sleeping , I had to go home by myself. There is a forest near our house and a little lamp with green shimmer leads into the forest. When I looked straight to it, I saw a man in a black coat, who was standing in a green light. At the same time my friend shouted something to me and I turned my head. When I looked back the man had dissapeared. I was terrified and ran home. I was still trembling when I got in to my bed. In the morning I was retelling the story to my parents and when I finished, they gave me a big hug to me. When I asked, what was going on they said that they're really happy that I...

road signs All speed limit signs in the Republic changed to the metric system in 2005. Some direction signs still show distance in miles so tourists often mix them up. There are usually about 10 signs or more on one post , and its really hard to see them when driving, so tourists disturb traffic quite often when slowing down to read the signs All the signs are multilingual ,due to high percentage of English speakers Forests Ireland has only about 8 % of his whole land covered with forests. Centuries ago people cut the forests and didn't think about the future so nowadays there is mostly peat ( turvas) which Ireland uses to produce energy. Economy Ireland had a big economic boom in the late 20'th century, but now the Republic of Ireland is ranked the second wealthiest per capita country in the European Union. DAYDREAM I was kayaking across the ocean, when I realised I had come to a foreign land. Upon reaching the shore, I got out of my kayak and went exploring… I was walking on the beach when I suddenly noticed a tiny house in the middle of nowhere. The windows were broken and the door was open. It was made of wood and in a really bad condition. I saw the smoke coming from the chimney. I walked, scared, towards the tiny house, I was afraid to go in but I still entered. The house was really dusty. I was looking around, when suddenly a door appeared. I opened it and i was pulled in. The stair steps appeared one after another. I was really confused and at that moment I wished I had never got out of my kayak. I was walking down, when suddenly the stair steps started to get warmer and warmer. My legs couldn’t handle the heat, so I started running. The steps behind me began to explode and I ran f...
A book worth reading A year ago I managed to find time to read an extremely profound book entitled The Fault in Our Stars. This tragic, yet realistic drama was written by John Green, a famous author of young-adult fiction, and it provides a valuable insight into the life of children fighting with cancer. The Fault in Our Stars is about a teenage girl Hazel, who has stage 4 thyroid cancer. Hazel’s daily routine contains taking meds, reading books and taking part of the support group meetings for cancer- fighters. In the support group she meets an extraordinarily handsome boy Augustus, who, full of metaphores and mystery, catches Hazel’s attention immediately. As the plot evolves, these two spectacularily appalling figures get close and share unique experiences. Together they help out a friend dealing with the loss of a girlfriend, travel to the Netherlands to meet Hazel’s favourite author and much more. Unlike any other teenage-cliche ...

In the foreground there are woman, her daughter and baby. They are sitting along the path. I think that baby is eating . Mother and daughter are wearing a green long skirts and hats, they have shawls on their shoulders. The Woman has a pink blouse, but it`s hard to tell what colour is the girl`s blouse, but it`s could be violet. It`s possible that they have picked the flowers, because the girl has a bouquet of flowers in her hands, and now they are resting in the grass. The flowers may be daisies. In the background you can see light blue sky with the single clouds in the sky and the sea. In the bottom left-hand and right-hand you can see the grass where are growing yellow, pink and white flowers. In the top left-hand is hill. To be or not to be a vegeterian To be or not to be a vegeterian, that is the question. there are many positive and negative sides of being a vegeterian but what are they? First of all, many people think that being vegeterian is helthy but is it? Eating always plants does not give us protein that is wery important to our health. Secondly, vegetables does not give us fat, what is very important to keep warm and without it our kidneys run around in our body, and it is painful. It is clear, that for life we need many more nutritions, what we can get from green food. On the other hand it is healthy to be a vegeretian. People, who does not eat meat are fit and this is healthy. Our heart can work well and vegeterians dont need to worry about stroke because their body dont consist cholesterol. Maybe they can live longer, but it is not proved. And last, but not least , a veg...
How can we make our cities more environmentally friendly? If I walk along the city streets, I feel a terrible smell. That comes from cars. It makes me feel very ill. Then I just have to step on trash, because people can't wait and look for a bin. That's why our streets are so dirty. Everywhere I go, there are always some workmen building big houses. If we improved public transport or made electric cars, our streets wouldn't be so polluted. In Tallinn, for example, the air there is so polluted, that you can hardly breathe there. If the authorities put bins everywhere in the streets, our cities would be cleaner. The second thing is, that people still drop litter on the ground, even if there is a bin somewhere nearby. If we didn't build so much houses all around cities, we could save money from that and better build animal parks, green areas and playgrounds for children. If there were more green areas, people would have more...

The environment in realtion to mobility/transport in Europe Air pollution is problem all over the world. Through some pollution comes from these natural sources, most pollution is the result of human activity. The biggest causes are the operation of fossil fuel- burning power plants and automobiles that combust fuel. Combined, these two sources are responsible for about 90% of all air pollution in the United States. All kind of pollutions can lead us to serious health problems. For example, air pollution is increasingly being cited as the main cause of lung conditions such as asthma - twice as many people suffer from asthma today compared to 20 years ago. Every year, 3.2m Europeans are diagnosed with cancer - the most common cause of death after heart disease. Most widespread are cancers of the lungs, breast and colon. Dear Alice, Date: I received your nice letter and I understood that you're interested in healthy lifstyle. If you want to start, I suggest to start checking what you eat. You should eat a lot of fruits, fresh vegetables and "green stuff", because fresh food contains most of the necessary vitamins. I don't forbid you from anything, but I think you should avoid fries, hamburgers, potato chips and sweets. Did you know, that it is important to eat everything you like, but in the right amount - not too much and not too little? It is not good for you to think too much about your weight, it is too stressful. Just have whatever you like, but control yourself - veggies instead of fries, etc. A good workout is the second most important thing in leading a healthy lifstyle. I suggest you to go jogging, it is pleasant and at the same time, cheap. You should exercise at lea...
My room I live in a comfortable city flat in a 9-stored block of flats not far from the centre of Tallinn. It is not a very green place, but still there are many trees around the house and in summer the yard looks very beautiful and cozy. The house is located comfortably because there a few supermarkets, pharmacies around. My flat is on the first floor. It's very comfortable and well-planned. There are three rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a balcony. The largest room in our flat is the living room and me and my husband room too. My family uses it as a sitting room. On the left there is my bed and desk. The desk has a lot of drawers where I keep my text-books, notes, pens, pencils and other necessary things. On the right there is a sofa and a built-in wardrobe. In the right corner there is a comfortable arm-chair. Beside it stands a lamp with blue shade. I like to turn on the lamp, sit in the arm-chair and read an interesting book. Ther...
