The computer has greatly improved our lives today Nowadays, computers are a big part of our lives and they have made pretty much everything simpler and more entertaining. On the other hand, the misuse of them can be extremely dangerous. On the positive side, computers are great tools for school and different jobs. Using the Internet it is possible to communicate with each other and access to information faster. Another advantage is that almost the whole world has access to those technological inventions, so if someone lives in Australia, it is surprisingly easy for them to find a friend from Europe. On the negative side, there are lots of hackers who can damage big companies or leak personal information. In addition to this, people spend too much time in front of computer screens and that causes visual illness, sickness, stress, muscular pains, etc. Furthermore, there is a lot of trash on the Internet, f...

Don't make the reader guess why an action might be necessary or wonder how it would be helpful. Doing so might cause her to skip a necessary step or avoid an entire process that could greatly simplify her life--and greatly increase her enthusiasm for your product. 5 Break the process down into small, easy-to-remember steps. Then present the steps in sequential order, from first to last, being sure that each step leads logically to the next. Be sure not to omit any important background information that will clarify the next step and place it into the proper context. 6 Write in plain, clear, simple language, and be sure the wording you use to write your manual is not ambiguous

The capital of Canada is Ottawa the name of whose comes from the old Algonquin language, with the original word meaning `to trade'. Due to the country's huge size and position, it is very diverse. It is bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west, the Atlantic to the east, and the Arctic to the north. The landscapes differ greatly from rolling plains and mountains to the cold tundra in the northern part of the country. Geographically, the country's split into 5 major regions the Pacific, the Prairie Provinces, Central Canada, the Atlantic Provinces and the North. The Pacific Region is known for its mild coastal climate, its forests and its spectacular mountains. The three Prairie Provinces are known for their rolling plains and their extreme climate with long, cold winters and hot, dry summers
English began as a west Germanic language which was brought to England by Saxons around 400AD. The spoken and written language between 400 and 1100AD is referred to as Old English. Modern Englis was greatly influenced by English used in London and changed a great deal until the end of the 18th century. The standart English today in known as BBC English. Spelling and pronaunciation seem to be the most difficult aspects of the English language for foreign students. English is very rich in synonyms. The huge vocabulary of the language is due to the free admission of words from other language. Old English had several inflections to show singular and plural, tense and person, but over
In addition to that, if students could choose the subjects themselves, then some classes would be really empty. For example, a lot of students do not like maths or reading. Math develops logic and then we could imagine how many people would be without logical thinking. And reading books enriches vocabulary, so if people do not read books at all, their vocabulary would be quite small. On the other hand, learning different things like history and bilogy expand people's knowledge greatly. With learning so many different things one's brain and memory develops and that makes a person intelligent. In my opinion, students have to learn different subjects, even those that they find boring and let themselves be after graduating highly educated and smart participant of society.
Some scientists concluded that human production was primarily responsible, while others cited natural causes as well. Recently, more intensive research has been done so that countries have the information they need to prevent acid rain and its dangerous effects. The levels of acid rain vary from region to region. In Third World nations without pollution restrictions, acid rain tends to be very high. In Eastern Europe, China, and the Soviet Union, acid rain levels have also risen greatly. However, because acid rain can move about so easily, the problem is definitely a global one. Kirsika Jürisson 10.A Tallinna 37. Keskkool Õpetaja: Annika Vilu
Plastics versatility allow it to be used in everything from soft drink bottles to the refrigerators they are stored in. From the car you drive to work in to the television you watch when you get home, plastics help make your life easier and better. But what is plastic impact on wildlife? In the 21st century, people have become their own killers. From countryside to the cities, the use of plastic materials has greatly increased. In the grocery stores, tons of products are packaged using plastic materials. About 30 years ago, in some countries , there were no plastic bags used for packaging and carrying items. Items in the shops were packed in biodegradable paper bags. Plastic bags as litter create a visual pollution problem, and affect our aquatic wildlife. Many of the grocery store use the plastic bags as a tool to keep the things easy to carrying. Plastic bags aren’t just at the grocery
police when I hear offenders in my own neighborhood. My insistence at having them enforce current regulations in my area has made a difference. I am also reviewing our local noise ordinance and speaking with others who are interested in putting an end to this offensive behavior that takes away from our quality of life. When the boom box noise has been controlled in this area, I would be pleased to begin using your store again. I encourage you to work with the local police department to greatly strengthen enforcement of our noise ordinances. You are losing business because of the contant presence of boom cars. sporting goods stores for people to purchase various goods that suit their hobbies. Our objections to the center Our only objections to the shopping center are that since malls take away a lot of space, it will ruin the beautiful scenery outside the city. Also, more cars would be constantly driving down the road which would then increase the noise pollution. Conclusion Overall, the residents' committee agrees that the shopping center being built is a good idea and will help this town greatly in terms of giving people a bigger freedom of choice in where to shop.

From an economical standpoint, United Kingdom surpasses Estonia is most sectors, we can take the GDP as an example, when UK stands at 2.629 trillion then Estonia only stands at a low of 38.94 billion. That’s a huge difference, but we should concider another factor. When Estonia stands at the bottom ten of public debt, having one of the lowest ones in Europe then United Kingdom is at the top thirty, with its public debt being 89.30 percent of the GDP. Natural resources can benefit a country greatly, if the country was lucky to enough to have anything valuable as in oil. United Kingdom is way more lucky at this point as they way surpass Estonia in natural resources. As United Kingdom has gold, iron, natural gas and so on. Estonia’s only natural treasure really is oil shale that they used to make electricity and peat. So UK really dominates Estonia at this category. Same goes for the population, while Estonia has a shy of one million, UK trumps that with around sixty five million

The text has more or less the same meaning in both of the extracts. The differences lie in the language use, character types, speakers, layout etc. In the original "Beowulf" epic Grendel displays nothing but the most primitive human qualities. He is a grotesque monster who terrorizes a small community of Danish warriors. Therefore he can be called a flat character. In the book "Grendel" the protagonist and antagonist have been swapped. Gardner greatly alters the monster's characterization. In his novel, very little separates Grendel from his human counterparts: he has a high level of intelligence, as well as a human capacity for both emotion and philosophy. As the text is written in the first person point of view through Grendel's eyes, one gets a quite good picture of him. Unfortunately he is fighting with the inevitable. He keeps attacking and eating the Danish warriors simply because his instincts tell him to do so

romantic life, health life and so on. It is a very difficult task to start looking for a definition of success, because in fact it can have many different meanings. Puting it in another way; some people can see themselves doing great at some time of their life. Could every one else accept the fact those people had achieved great success in their life. Let us have a look at the life of a public person. The Oprah show, Oprah Winfrey is a very powerful woman recognized over the world. She is greatly admired, She is convincing, persuasive, she learnt very well to get the public´s media love and inspired with her speeches. Oprah has been a millionaire since her thirties. Most people consider her as a super successful woman. Most people do not even know about Oprah´s personal life. She has been being strongly criticised about her performance during the show and also about things concerning her personal life. Here we arrive at the point where we understand why success can have such a
Advantages and disadvantages of living in the countryside The first outstanding characteristic about the countryside is that it is beautiful and peaceful. The air is fresh and the surroundings green. This is because the countryside is free from pollution, land or noise pollution. Living in the countryside has a lot of advantages, but also many disadvantages. The places where people live affects greatly in their lifestyles and living places is one of the very basic needs for people. Firstly you are fit and you don't need to worry about your health condition, because in the countryside the air and water are so clean. Another additional advantage is that there aren't any huge blocks of flats, modern skyscrapers or bothersome traffic jams. Living in the country is slower. People don't need to hurry and have a lot of time. The living cost in a country side is much lesser than that of a city.
It is difficult to keep both your job and studies up. Although there are good points, like earning money to support yourself, gaining work or life experience, learning more about how the world works something, that schools usually do not teach. Being practical with your time comes in handy while trying to work and study at the same time. If one can manage to do that, it will benefit your greatly in many ways. Some people just cannot keep that up, but if one would think again, not everyone is made the same. However as mentioned, nothing is all good. Working while studying causes irregularities in many students' lives. Lack of sleep, stress and missed classes is not a nice combination for a good life. Trying to find spare time to relax is very difficult. Humans are ,,programmed" to value
Some people in the world make a living to it. Computer modding What is the computer modding ??? This is tuning. Today we are not only tuning cars, but also computers Modding is a slang expression that is derived from the verb "modify" How Computers have changed our world There isn't very many people around who can say that their lives have not been changed by computers. Computers have taken over our society as we know it. Everywhere you look, computers have greatly improved our lives. It can be as simple as going through a carwash, a computer processes the information that we feed it and adjusts the machine accordingly to give us the particular wash that we paid for. Although technology is a good thing to have, there is a few drawbacks. My computers I have used computers almost every day for nine years. I got my first computer when I was 7 or 8 years old. During the last four years I have changed computers five times

We live in a cruel world where people only think about themselves. There are extremely few people who care about homeless people even though homelessness has greatly increased over the past decade. But why is that so? Are they worse than us? As Mike Yakonski once said: “Sometimes it's easy to walk by because we know we can't change someone's whole life in a single afternoon. But what we fail to realize it that simple kindness can go a long way toward encouraging someone who is stuck in a desolate place.” I can relate to that fairly well because everyday i see homeless people and it makes me extremely sad
own speed. Assured safety Perhaps one of the best arguments in favor of homeschooling is the guarantee of your child's safety. Bullying, fights and other school violence become a non-issue when your child is educated from home. The Cons: Lack of social development Of the many pros and cons of homeschooling, this is among the most commonly listed cons. Keeping your child out of a traditional school environment greatly inhibits their access to other children. Even if your child gets plenty of playtime and other opportunities to meet and interact with people his own age, this is bound to add up to far less contact than the 30+ hours in a normal school week and can lead to home school socialization issues. Missed experiences Common experiences are part of the fabric of life. These forge friendships and build memories, and may be limited in a homeschooling environment

Choosing a profession is an important decision in life. It is often speculated if the job should be chose based on a salary or persons interests. The aim of this essay is to find out which job is better-an well paid one or fulfilling one. It is clear that people work to get money, but it is also said that money does not make you happy. You can not purchase friends, family or health and these are the most important things in life. In addition job greatly affects the life in general. So, when the job is unchallenging, the life becomes boring too. Money is not the most important thing in life. When people choose profession based on a salary, they could later realize that the work is unsatisfying. We hear a lot of stories about people, who first studied law, but understood later, that they are not into that. In most cases parents force their children to study a profession that pays well.
as fuel costs, tolls, and the stress of driving. Secondly, carpooling is also a more environmentally friendly way to travel. Please pay attention, that sharing journeys reduces carbon emissions, traffic congestion on the roads, and the need for parking spaces. What do you think about problems with parking places? It is really hard to find parking place near our university. In our days, when the Internet could be used not only from a computer, it has greatly helped carpooling to expand, enabling people to offer and find rides thanks to easy-to-use and reliable online transport marketplaces. These websites are commonly used for one-off long-distance journeys with high fuel costs. Just for your information I would like to say that there are some Estonian carpooling groups in Facebook, like Tallinn-Tartu-Tallinn, Tallinn-Rakvere-Tallinn and so on.So you could get to the place you need using these kinds of groups or some apps in your smartphone.

Purists of the languages are resisting the arrival of English in their vocabulary.
and democratic countries. However, when it comes to university, or higher education, there are many different approaches taken. In some countries (such as Finland and Sweden) higher education is still free. In other countries, higher education is purchased like any other service. In many countries (such as the UK and the USA), fees are charged to students but how much of the cost of education these cover varies greatly. Often governments offer loans and financial support to help students pay these fees. However, more and more people want to go to university, putting student funding systems under pressure. So should Governments charge fees for higher education, or provide it for free? Government should charge fees because it is well known that the `education' is often only a small part of the university experience. Students spend far too much time and money drinking, partying and wasting time
for her husband. Liisa-Maria Pihlak, 12B Christophine was different than other Jamaican blacks-the way she talked and dressed was different and she was portrayed as kind of an outsider. She once was a slave, but now, to her family, she was a very loyal servant. She was very helpful, concerned and loyal towards the people she cared about. She appeared to share her nature with the Caribbean Islands, she seemed to somehow be a part of them. At the same time she feared greatly for her knowledge of the dark magic. I’d say that Christophine had quite an influential role in the book. She took over Antoinette’s mother’s role and gave her a stable life as she started to take care of her. As for me, she seemed caring and affectionate, especially when it came to Antoinette and her wellbeing. Her confidence and independence are respectful traits, no matter what. If I had to meet her, I’d most probably be a bit frightened due to her proficiency

It gave many new terms to English, like pig and pork etc. After the hundred years' war, English took over as the official language. Also many writers and scientist influenced the language a lot. hitchhiker or people who he hitches a ride with. From almost every place he visits he gets a new acquaintance who inspires him in one way or another. For example, Sal is intrigued by Rickey, the mañana guy, who feels no guilt at never working and puts off almost everything. Sal likes Rickey's lifestyle and tries it himself, but after two days realises that he can't live like that. In conclusion, Sal is a people's person, but feels loneliness nevertheless. He is greatly influenced by Dean Moriarty who gets them into dangerous and stupid situations. Dean inspires Sal and Sal wants to be more like him: brave, spontaneous and to have the ability to pick up girls easily. Sal is not good with women and usually leaves them when the relationship becomes serious or complicated. In my opinion, Sal has no backbone. He doesn't know what he wants from life thus he does everything Dean wants. I was actually proud when Sal didn't go with Dean at the end of the book.
They get proud and think that everything that they reach is due to the way they look. People who are attractive use their looks to get a job, to be promoted, to be excused from doing something they don't want to. The atmosphere around them can not be ruined in any way. Once the reputation is ruined, nice looks will not help any more for they don't matter from no on. But there are people who are equally pretty inside and outside. Such people are pride of the society and are respected greatly. Every one of us knows a lot of examples of above described phenomenon; there's no need to do it here. It is quite possible that people can change so appearances won't matter anymore. The article is meant to help those who suffer from such discrimination to improve their situation, and those who want to start a new life forgetting about their past abuse of own appearance. Beauty is meant to serve to greater good, so a person always has a choice. And it is: to be good and
Coverage of such an event may replace many hours of regular TV shows. Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin, Jr. KBE (April 16, 1889 December 25, 1977), better known as Charlie Chaplin, was an Academy Award-winning English comedy actor. Chaplin became one of the most famous actors as well as a notable director, composer and musician in the early to mid Hollywood cinema era. He is considered to have been one of the finest mimes and clowns ever caught on film and has greatly influenced performers in this field. He acted in, directed, scripted, produced, and eventually scored his own films. Chaplin was also one of the most creative and influential personalities in the silent-film era. His working life in entertainment spanned over 65 years, from the Victorian stage and music hall in the United Kingdom as a child performer, almost until his death at the age of eighty-eight. To sum up the whole presentation she used some funny words and pointed at her lower back as in the beginning of the presentation. This was used to make people more lively and to let them know that the presentation is about to end. Also she encouraged the audience to move more and told that her life quality has increased greatly due to moving and having meetings while walking. In addition, she used a rhyme to make sure that her message is said out loud and clear - “walk and talk, walk and talk”. I think she reached the goal with her rhyme and whole presentation. At least I started to think differently after listening to her presentation.
China than they would in their own countries. To be able to become successful in China they need the Chinese language skills and consequently respect the teachers who can make a great difference in their lives by teaching them the necessary vocabulary. In Estonia on the other hand, the reason to study Chinese is often due to some level of interest rather than a necessity. Therefore the motivation and effort the students put in the Chinese language studies varies greatly. According to the lecturer, the students in Estonia question the teacher's decisions more than the students in China which also suggests that the teachers have a smaller amount of authority. She explains that in her experience the students in Estonia occasionally complain about the large amount of home assignments, tests and some classroom assignments such as moving around in the class and asking questions from the other students, while students in China almost never do
Dear Liisa Lovely to hear from you after so long! It’s a great tragedy that the COVID-19 is out and about but we just have to make the most of it and protect ourselves and our loved ones. After being in isolation for only two days a realization hit me. I realized that everything that I took for granted was going to change. As many other, I didn’t thought that Estonia is going to suffer greatly from the virus outbreak and everything is going to proceed as usual. Life goes on. But it doesn’t. I became aware of the problem after my sister and I had a talk about immunity. I myself have lived many years with runny nose and I don’t worry too much about it but I really never thought about my little sister and mom. They both have had some serious issues with their health and I don’t want my actions to harm their wellbeing in any way. Because of
additional men had been mobilized. Estonian forces could now set to counterattack and on the first birthday of the Estonian Republic (February 24, 1919) General Laidoner could report to the Parliament that the enemy had successfully been driven out of Estonian territory. Though the Red Army was continuously supplemented it could not stop the Estonian armed forces. On counterattack the Estonian army took 6,000 prisoners of war and more than 40 cannons. The successful offensive also greatly helped Estonia's neighbors Latvia and Lithuania. On May 12, 1919 the Estonian army went on a decisive offensive and conquered Pskov on May 25. The ostentatious attack of the Red Army towards the West had failed and Soviet Russia was forced into defensive warfare. Estonia was not alone in the War of Independence. Great Britain was the first to answer Estonia's call for help and sent her naval squadron to Tallinn on December 12, 1918. This
On the other hand research has found a correlation between light consumption in other words- one or two alcoholic beverages per day- and reduced risk of heart disease as well as reduction in all-cause mortality. However, some recent studies found that moderate consumption of alcohol did not decrease heart disease and that the positive effects may be due to methodological flaws in research studies. Despite the small number of benefits of alcohol they are still greatly overweighed by the large amount of negative effects on health. For example increased risk of liver diseases, cancer and pancreatitis. Nevertheless conversely moderate intake of alcohol may have some benefitial effects on gastritis. For instance chronic excess alcohol intake, can lead to a wide range of neuropsychiatric impairment, coronary heart disease and malignant neoplasms. Furthermore psychiatric disorders which are associated with alcoholism include major

If as a country and a society we care about the wellbeing of fellow citizens and society as a whole then we decriminalize the plant that has minimal documented harm, especially when compared to legal drugs: alcohol and nicotine, and has beneficial effects on users who use it to alleviate different illness symptoms. Furthermore punishing people for possession ruins their lives, drains resources and stops objective discussion and implementation of nations drug policy in the long run greatly reducing our ability to face the challenges that much more addictive and harmful drugs pose to society. If we choose to continue to criminalize and demonize recreational or medicinal users of relatively safe substances, we abandon the solidarity modern society is built upon and risk on becoming an entrenched reactionary society where no empathic nor freethinking person would like to live their life in. something European that would unite all the nations. Brexit will have a significant effect on Great Britain and the European Union. Judging by the numbers, it will have a significant negative effect on the UK. That goes for the EU also, where people working and living in Great Britain could lose their income and will have to find a new place to live. On the other hand, it has triggered some changes in the EU that in the end could benefit greatly. Everything negative comes with something positive attached to it and only the future will tell how we’ll cope with it.
