Shatelie world

She had long blond hair and big deep-purple eyes. "You must be an angel," the man said to her. Shatelie smiled and said she had no idea how this was even possible, because her father was a farmer. "A farmer?" asked the man, "A nice-sounding word to my mind, but what does it mean?" "Well, he owns a large amount of land, where he creates life-forms like plants and so!" "So your father is a god?" "I guess so, in some examples!" "And you are a goddess?" "Shatelie, actually!" "And can you create plants?" "But of course! I even helped to grow the Royal Roses!" "But in that case you're no demon! You came here to save me, my Goddess!" And the man started to play the violin again, but this time the melody was blooming and filled with happiness! Shatelie was happy and stayed there with the mysterious man for the end of her long and a happy life... The End

Antiik jumalad ja nende kujutamine kunstis- Athena

Antiikjumalad ja nende kujutamine kunstis Athena-Minerva Jumala lugu Athena (Minerva) oli neitsilik kreeka jumalanna, Zeusi tütar, sündis raseda Metise allaneelanud Zeusi peast: pärast seda, kui Hephaistos oli peavalu kannatava Zeusi kolju kirvega lõhestanud, astus Athena sealt välja täies relvastuses (kiiver, oda, kilp, aigis-rinnakilp). Ateena linna kaitsejumalannana. Planet venus

Venus Venus has been known since prehistoric times and the planet is named after Venus, the Roman goddess of love. It is the second-closest planet to the Sun and it`s often called Earth's "sister planet," because the two are similar in size, gravity, and bulk composition. Because of these similarities, it was thought that Venus might even have life. Venus is also called the Morning star or the Evening star, because it reaches its brightness shortly before sunrise or shortly after sunset. It is the brightest object in the sky except for the Sun and the Moon

The Picture of Dorian Gray

Movie was well done. None too big cuts. All good quotations were present but it felt to me that in some places they were a bit too forced (crammed together). Alltogether I liked the movie and it gave away the meaning of the book pretty well. The storyteller explaines in the beginning that Harry likes to play with people. Not good. The novel has no reference to Dorian being painted with an Egyptian goddess shaped like a cat who could grant his wish, as the film has. Appears throughout the whole movie. Girls signs the painting- Glaidis, Basils niece. Dorian stole her heart. Also important in later recognising the corpse. In Wilde's original, Sybil Vane is a Shakespearean actress whom Dorian observes playing Juliet, rather than the gifted dance-hall singer seen in this film. This necessitates altering Dorian's motive for breaking up with her. In the novel, her acting has become shallow as a

Kaksteist olümplast

Pärnu Hansagümnaasium Liis Kaljuvee 10. b klass KAKSTEIST OLÜPLAST-TAEVALIK PEREKOND Referaat Juhendaja: I.Kukk Pärnu 2009 Sissejuhatus Kreeklased uskusid väga paljudesse jumalatesse. Zeus (Jup...

Inuit Culture

Schools and health care centers were built in these permanent settlements. In many places, Inuit children were required to attend schools that emphasized non- native traditions. With better health care, the Inuit population grew larger, too large to sustain itself solely by hunting. Many Inuit from smaller camps moved into permanent settlements because there was access to jobs and food. In many areas Inuit were required to live in towns by the 1960s. Mythology Malina Malina is the Sun goddess of the Inuit people who live in Greenland. The word "Inuit" means "people." Malina and her brother, the Moon god Anningan, lived together. They got into a terrible fight and Malina spread dirty, black grease all over her brother's face. In fear, she ran as far as she could into the sky and became the Sun. Anningan chased after her and became the Moon. Anningan Anningan often forgets to eat, so he gets thinner as the days go by. Every month, the Moon disappears for three days while Anningan eats

subsided following a peace deal in 1998. The population of the island is slightly under 6 million (2006), with 4.2 million in the Republic of Ireland and an estimated almost 1.75 million in Northern Ireland. This is a significant increase from a modern historical low in the 1960s, but still much lower than the peak population of over 8 million in the early 19th century, prior to the Great Famine. The name Ireland derives from the name of the Celtic goddess Ériu (in modern Irish, Éire) with the addition of the Germanic word land. Most other western European names for Ireland, such as French Irlande, derive from the same source. A satellite picture of Ireland The history of Ireland began with the first known settlement in Ireland around 8000 BC, when hunter-gatherers arrived from Great Britain and continental Europe, probably via a land bridge.
