Comparing two singers of different genres The aim of this report is to compare two great singers. The chosen pop-singers are Sting and Lowry. They both present two different styles in nowadays music: Sting is representor of rock music and Lowry and Estonian artist who makes r'n'b, urban and pop music. Survey Report To: European youth union From: a member of the student committee Subject: A big music festival in Estonia The purpose of this report is to analyse the results of the survey conducted in Pärnu Coeducational Gymnasium. We questioned 500 stundents, from forms 7 to 9 and 10 to 12. As can be seen from the table the most popular genres of music among forms 7 to 9 were pop and rap. Pop music was liked by 21% of all students and rock music by 17%. Furthermore, quite popular was rock music, so we should consider including this genre in to our music festival, but the biggest problem with rock bands is that they have a lot of different musical instruments so we should consider building bigger stage. There for nine students are against the prices, they think the optimal price rate would be 75 kroons. Thrillers account for slightly below a quarter of the pie chart. Poetry makes up 17 percent of total and historical novels roughly 30%. Boys Slightly over than 50% of the male students prefer to read books from the thriller genre. The romantic novels account for one tenth of the chart. About 30% of the boys are interested in historical novels. Poetry makes up 9 percent of the results. Recommendations Seeing how Aru Secondary School students read books from only four different genres, I would like to give a few recommendations as to what kind of books to buy. I think there should be more autobiographies, fantasy novels and poetry. Conclusions To come to a conclusion, the library should expand the variety of the books. Mainly because Aru Secondary School students need broader horizons. It would benefit the whole school.

Jonathan and Mina join them in their hunt for Dracula but discover later, that only Mina and Van Helsing are able to find him so they travel back to Transylvania. The story ends with a note from Jonathan, written seven years after. The novel has 27 chapters. All the chapters are journals of characters. Also the book has ten pages of notes which are explanations of different places, names and expressions. ‘’Dracula’’ has cathegorised under many different genres of literature – vampire literature, horror fiction, gothic novel and invasion literature. For me it is mostly horror fiction, although I find this more as a fantasy literature or thriller. As the cities grew and more citizens became more educated, new genres appeared the fable and the (fablio) fabliau(x). How genre and narrative makes meaning in ``The Black Dahlia`` When analyzing a film, people understand the movie is much more complicated than it seems. To make a difference, to give a meaning to the film, film-makers have used different visual and thematic features. There are macro features (genre, narrative) as well as micro features (mise en scene, cinematography) and they are linked together in many ways. I have chosen to analyse the closing sequence of ``The Black Dahlia``, directed by Brian de Palma, and I will focus on macro features in this essay.
