Autoagressiivne käitumine noorukieas

Referaadi eesmärk on tõstatada tähelepanu autoagressiivsele käitumisele, sest taolise käitumise all kannatavad noored on tihti "nähtamatud" ning teised nende ümber samuti teadmatuses. Olles ise oma tutvusringkonnas selle probleemi all kannatavate inimestega kokku puutunud, julgen väita, et see on teema, millest peab rohkem rääkima. Antud referaadis toetun põhiliselt E. David Klonsky põhjalikule uurimusele "The functions of deliberate self-injury: A review of the evidence", Keith Hawtoni ja Anthony Jamesi uurimusele "Suicide and deliberate self harm in young people" ning "Koolinoorte vaimse tervise" kokkuvõtvale raportile. Referaadis on viidatud ka SEYLE projektile, psühholoog Marje Oja tööle "Autoagresiivne käitumine noorukieas", Robert Youngi, Michael van Beinumi, Helen Sweetingi ja Patric Westi uurimusele "Young people who self-harm" ning kahele probleemiga seotud projektile....

Tallinn

A baroque tower was added in the 18th century and the dated weather-vane (1779) crowning the spire is the only original one on Toompea today. The church has a valuable collection of Baltic German noblemen's coats of arms, since it was the Baltic nobility's parish church. Many of them were carved from wood by the famous Tallinn wood carver Christian Ackermann in the 17th century. Among other functions , the church served as a burial ground for the rich and the noble. The church also features grave slabs, an oaken Baroque altar by Christian Ackermann and a number of monuments to famous people (e.g. Pontus de la Gardie, Karl Horn and Otto Uexküll, all Swedish military leaders; Admiral Samuel Greigh, a hero of Russo-Turkish sea battles; and Admiral Adam Johann Krusenstern, a Baltic German who was the first Russian citizen to sail round the world....

Nokia Report

PRODUCTS Nokia produces telephones and telecommunications network equipment. One of Nokia's requests is to offer people the quality and reliability of their products. Nokia believes that design, brand, ease of use and prices of the products are the most important considerations to customers. In the past years Nokia has come up with new mobile phone designs. The latest of Nokia's products is the new N95 which nearly has all the functions a computer has. Nokia doesn't only sell telephones however. It also focuses on wireless systems, wireless data and voice devices, multimedia computers and mobile gaming devices. "The devices are based on GSM/EDGE, 3G/WCDMA and CDMA cellular technologies. Nokia's product portfolio includes camera phones with features such as mega pixel cameras and MP3 players which appeal to the mass market." (Quote from Nokia's homepage) The development of GSM phones since the 1980s has made the...

Tower of London

In the 12th century, King Richard the Lionheart enclosed the White Tower with a curtain wall and had a moat dug around it. The fortification was completed in 1280 by Edward I, who built the outer curtain wall. The Tower today is principally a tourist attraction. Besides the buildings themselves, the British Crown Jewels and a remnant of the wall of the Roman fortress are on display. Primary Functions The tower's primary function was a fortress, a royal palace, and a prison for high status and royal prisoners. It has also served as a place of execution and torture, an armoury, a treasury, a zoo, the Royal Mint, a public records office, an observatory, and since 1303, the home of the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom....

Stilistika loeng

We do not apply to relative adjectives a comparison, yet it is done for the sake of expressiveness (e.g. "You cannot be deader than the dead." "The house looked more stony than ever."). FGI 1081 Stylistics (I. Ladusseva) 8 The ending er or est added to longer adjectives violates the norm and has different functions : to suggest excitement, humor, poor education (e.g. "It is getting curiouser and curiouser." "She was the beautifulest woman."). For the sake of humor or for efficient advertising the endings er and est are added to "bad", "good", "many" (e.g. "She is the baddest listener"). Sometimes even double forms are used (e.g. ""She was getting worser and worser."). VERBS: The Historical Present (present tense) in the author's narrative is used to render past...

In certain constructions pronouns stand in the end and the phrase becomes very expressive (e.g. "This idea of his!"). ADJECTIVES: expressing features of adjectives concern the degrees of comparison, especially when rules or norms are violated. The best-known role of proteins in the cell is as enzymes, which catalyze chemical reactions. Your body uses the protein you eat to make lots of specialized protein molecules that have specific jobs. For instance, your body uses protein to make haemoglobin, the part of red blood cells that carries oxygen to every part of your body. Other proteins are used to build cardiac muscle. Proteins have very important functions in our body. 17 Kasutatud materjal Grandberg, Igor. 1979. Orgaaniline Keemia. Tallinn: Kirastus Valgus Männik, A. 1985. Biokeemia. Topic - Health

Introduction Health is the level of functional or metabolic efficiency of an organism at both the cellular and social level. In the medical field, health is commonly defined as an organism's ability to succesfully respond to challenges and effectively restore and keep a so-called ,,state of balance". 2. History · Early hospitals During the Middle Ages the hospital could serve other functions , such as an almshouse for the poor, or hostel for pilgrims. In ancient cultures, religion and medicine were linked. The earliest known institutions aiming to provide cure were Egyptian temples. Greek temples dedicatedto the healer-god, might admit the sick, who would wait for guidance from the god in a dream. The Romans adopted this worship. The Sri Lankans are perhaps responsible for introducing theconcept ofdedicated hospitals to the world...

Art Museum of Estonia

The St. Nicholas' Church, heavily damaged by fire in 1944, was restored for the purpose to preserve and exhibit the works of art from older centuries (mainly 13th18th c.) in the collection of the Art Museum of Estonia. The building was opened as a branch of the Art Museum in 1984, and since then has combined the functions of a museum and a concert hall. The reason why such a commission was called together was the attempt of the Ministry of Culture to find a new administrator for the building of the St. Nicholas' Church because extremely poor financial resources of the Art Museum of Estonia do not enable to repair the building that holds invaluable treasures of art. In such complicated circumstances, the necessity for objective opinion upon the priorities of the St. Nicholas' Church arised....

Idealization of nature in Romantic poetry

/ The author describes flowers breathing and plants reaching higher and higher to get more air and sunlight. In addition to this, Wordsworth's "Daffodils" shows how the jocund flowers are dancing and fluttering, tossing their heads: /.../ Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. /.../ Ten thousand saw I at a glance, Tossing their heads in sprightly dance. /.../ A poet could not but be gay, In such a jocund company: /.../ As one of the main functions of all religions in general is that they offer emotional and moral support to the believer and nature in romantic poetry is thought of as a creator and something capable of helping man find inner peace and emotional clarity, it is not difficult to connect the two. In various poems, nature is seen as something divine to turn to when in need of help, sometimes even referred to as God. It seems to have limitless powers over men, being able to...
