Dub FX Retsensioon

Huvitav tsitaat artistilt: ,,I think it would'nt be a problem if I wouldn't sweat like a pig," mis tõlkes tähendab: ,,Ma usun, et see ei ole probleemiks, kui ma ei

Symbols of Estonia

Symbols of Estonia Estonian coat of arms The Estonian coat-of-arms has ancient roots and resembles both that of Denmark and of England. The three blue leopard-like creatures on a gold background were first used in 1219 as part of the coat-of-arms of the city of Tallinn and, later in history, of the Estonian province. In 1925, what is called the three lion coat-of-arms finally became the national coat-of-arms. National flower The campaign to choose a national flower for Estonia was organized by The Estonian Wildlife Protection Society in 1967-1968 where the ornamental Blue Cornflower was the favourite because of its popularity and decorative appearance, because of this Blue Cornflower was selected as the National Flower of Estonia. National bird The barn swallow, the national bird, is a characteristic guest of Estonian homes. Its call can be heard from practically every eave or barn rafter in the country

Some theories of Literature

we expect literature to be in some sense entertaining, or, to afford pleasure. WHAT IS IT THAT MAKES LITERATURE PLEASANT? A literary work seizes our interest and more or less at least for a moment makes the rest of the world fade and vanish. A work of art has this power to catch us up momentarily and to delight us. TRUTH IN LITERATURE Art offers truth as well as pleasure. What kind of truth? WALTER SAVAGE LANDOR (17751864) THERE IS A FLOWER I WISH TO WEAR, BUT NOT UNTIL FIRST WORN BY YOU HEART'S EASE OF ALL EARTH'S FLOWERS MOST RARE BRING IT, AND BRING ENOUGH FOR TWO. Is it true that the flower is the earth's rarest flower? If we want to know about flowers hadn't we better listen to botanists than poets? Isn't it apparent that whatever value Landor's poem has is not in its botany? THE NATURE OF LITERATURE: THE IMITATIVE THEORY Art is an imitation of something. Poetics Aristotle (384322B.C.):

actions. Nature can therefore not only create the place, but also perform certain actions, like dancing, breathing, thinking, planning, all to help the person in search of himself feel more in touch with nature by giving them a sense of company, a feeling that they are not alone but with a friend. This kind of personification is used in Wordsworth's "Lines written in early spring": /.../ And 'tis my faith that every flower Enjoys the air it breathes. /.../ The budding twigs spread out their fan, To catch the breezy air; /.../ The author describes flowers breathing and plants reaching higher and higher to get more air and sunlight. In addition to this, Wordsworth's "Daffodils" shows how the jocund flowers are dancing and fluttering, tossing their heads: /.../ Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. /.../ Ten thousand saw I at a glance,

Estonian flag and what are the symbols of Estonia

Dear Elijah, I’m writing to tell you about the Estonian flag and what are the symbols of Estonia. The national symbols of the Republic of Estonia are the Estonian flag, coat of arms, anthem, but also the national bird and flower. They all have great meaning for Estonia, although nowadays it often tends to forget. The Estonian national flag is a rectangular piece of cloth, which consists of three equal width horizontal bands of colour: the upper band is blue, medium black and white underside. The correlation of the width and length is less imporatnt, but fixed as 7:11.
