blood cholesterol levels or not. Some of the earliest scientific studies have proven that high consumption of cholesterol containing foods and/or saturated fat are connected to atherosclerosis, but recent studies have been disproving them. Despite these findings, individuals who eat a diet low in animal derived foods have been found to have lower incidence of heart disease. 11 Another notable finding is that only herbivorous beings are able to develop a heart condition called atherosclerosis. And while humans are identified as omnivorous organisms, we still get atherosclerosis, unlike other omnivorous and carnivorous animals (eg. dogs, cats, tigers and lions) who can consume excessive amounts of cholesterol and fat without developing atherosclerotic plaques. When comparing human characteristics with the characteristics of other animals, evidence suggests that humans are rather

Ice age, when sea rose considerably (märkimisväärselt kasvanud), Australia and its largest island Tasmania, became isolated form the rest of Asia. 2. The earliest inhabitants The earliest humans living in Australia are called Aborigines and they are descended (pärinevad) from among the earliest humans in the world. For thousands of years Aborigines lived as hunter-gatherers along the coast and in the inland desert areas, following the same lifestyle as their ancestors. 3. Finding food and water Aboriginal tribes obtained water from trees and roots and even squeezed water out of the bodies of frogs. Women collected anything that grew or moved, including fruit, lizards, snakes, roots, grass, etc. Their skill in finding food even in the most extreme conditions often kept the whole group alive. 4. Hunting Large mammals, now extinct (väljasurnud), roamed some areas (hulkusid mingitel aladel) of Australia and provided (andsid) meat for the aboriginal hunters

Clownfish

Finding Nemo, the Pixar movie introduced millions of people around the world the clownfish. Twenty-nine species of clownfish live among the reefs from East Africa to French Polynesia and from Japan to eastern Australia. Among scientists and aquarists, clownfish are also known as anemone fish because they can't survive without a host anemone, whose stinging tentacles protect them and their developing eggs from intruders. It's still a mystery exactly how a clownfish avoids being stung by the anemone. Of the roughly thousand species of anemones, only ten host clownfish. What's good for the clownfish is good for the anemone, and vice versa. Clownfish spend their entire lives with their host anemone, rarely straying more than a few yards from it. They lay their eggs about twice a month on the nearest hard surface concealed by the fleshy base of the anemone, and they aggressively protect the developing embryos. If the young fish doesn't find ...

Computers should be used while studying

Computers should be used while studying Nowadays more and more students use computers while studying. While I believe that students should use more computers while studying, their parents and also teachers do not. I strongly believe that computers are useful while studying if you use them as they should be used. Firstly, using computers can improve their computer skills, which can be used later. For example finding a job. Nowadays there lots and lots of jobs which require atleast basic knowledge about computers. Therefore, it is important for them to have computer skills atleast at basic level. Secondly, using computers while studying can speed up the learning and also writing process, because it is known that the youth can find a missing word or a phrase on the internet in a matter of seconds. Also, they write a lot faster on computer than by hand, so it can drastically improve the speed of learning.

Are mistakes necessary for discovery and progress? It is often questioned whether making mistakes help people to progress and make discoveries. I personally think that there is no need to make mistakes in order to develop themselves, but it is often an efficient way of finding out something new which can help people to make progress on whatever that is worked on. It is often the mistake that tell us what is wrong or what needs to be corrected. Through correcting any mistakes that are made and learning from those errors, deffinitely help to make progress. Homework that teachers give to students are a good example, like submitting something to your teacher and getting it back later with corrections. By carefully analyzing

Combining music with relaxation therapy was more effective than doing relaxation therapy alone. Those who practice music therapy are finding a benefit in using music to help cancer patients, children with ADD, and others, and even hospitals are beginning to use music and music therapy to help with pain management, to help ward off depression, to promote movement, to calm patients, to ease muscle tension, and for many other benefits that music and music therapy can bring With all these benefits that music can carry, it's no surprise that music therapy is growing in popularity.

Are student organizations beneficial for students?

It is clear that student organizations are beneficial for students. Firstly, it helps students to find out their interests, which helps them in the future, when they are choosing suitable profession. It is always better when you already have some imagination of the job. In addition, organizations give new skills and knowledge. Secondly, it connects people with same interests, which leads to a more active social life. It seems that right connections are even more important, when it comes to finding a job, than education. Another relevant point is that nowadays you have to know how to work in a group and student organizations are excellent places to practise it. It must also be noted that good ideas come more easily in a group. In addition, it is easier to make these ideas come alive with lots of people than alone. It is the group energy, all working for the same goal that gives students will to work more.

Smart cities start with an information network designed to optimize resources and thereby promote sound, sustainable development. It has been expected that in 2025 there are at least 88 smart cities. Connected streets are the core of smart cities. Smart connected streetlights open up many possibilities. They can gather and send information. Standby lighting can switch on when somebody walks by. There can be specific lighting to cross the street safely. Smart cities can also help you finding a parking spot. Life can be easier using different sensors. Waste collection companies can watch online how full containers are. Weather sensors can manage automatic watering systems and detect leaks. Other sensors can provide updates on air pollution, noise and river level. There is no need to read water or electricity meters anymore. Everything will be available in real time. This solution can also save resources. Smart cities make life safer

Ideal marriage

I think it is very important for both sides to acknowledge the fact that tying the knot too early in life can lead up to a divorce. In my opinion, an ideal marriage can only be a result of a strong relationship that has had its ups and downs. I think it would be useful for all couples to rather wait a while before getting married, and not to make any haste decisions when it comes to something as serious as wedlock. All points considered, the main tip for having an ideal marriage is finding the right partner and being honest and straighforward with them. Respect and communication are vital parts to any wedlock, especially successful ones. Furthermore, the more mature the relationship is with your partner, the more likely it is you will have a happy and strong marriage.

Why did I choose university education over vocational training?

Relying on the last point before mentioned I have to say that I chose university education over vocational education because I have had a dream of becoming a real estate developer and broker since my early childhood and there was no specialty available that would support my dream job. Also, in Estonia the ones who are not the sharpest pencils in the drawer and just want to learn some specialty often choose vocational schools as, then they have less struggles when finding a job in the future. To sum up, I have to say that I agree with the research that advise to go for higher education in case you have special careers in mind and not all of us should use the possibility of free higher education as we are lacking of jobs that require tertiary school education.

Again, I've had my share of ambitious students over the years, but a fair number of them decided there wasn't enough money in news to make it worth their while. More often than not they switched their majors to business, or headed for law school. So who does do well, at least in my journalism program? What kinds of students end up finding careers in news? Here are a few traits common to the successful journalism students I've seen over the years. They find their passion. I've had any number of students who, upon seeing their first byline in the student newspaper, have that moment when a light bulb switches on above their heads. Suddenly they realize this is what they want to do for the rest of their lives. They've found their passion in life. They stick around

Sometimes they offer people the service of finding out which part of Scotland their great-grand parents came from. Scotland's greatest poet Robert Burns, who's dead by now, had his birthday th on 25 January. People celebrate that day by having Burns' Night Dinner. On that night people drink whisky, eat typical Scottish food such as haggis and listen to bagpipe music. There is a special poem to haggis, which they read when they put the dish on the table. Popular song from Burns is "Auld Lang Syne"

Many people turn to the Internet in order to manage unpleasant feelings such as stress, loneliness, depression, and anxiety. This suggests that it's important to remember that there are healthier (and more effective) ways to keep difficult feelings in check. These may include exercising, meditating, using sensory relaxation strategies, and practicing simple breathing exercises. One anticipated finding was that you are at greater risk of Internet addiction if you suffer from anxiety, you are depressed, you have any other addictions, you lack social support, you're an unhappy teenager, you are less mobile or socially active than you once were or you are stressed. The results of this study indicate that there are 5 different symptoms of Internet addiction which are losing track of time online, having trouble completing tasks at work or home,

Junior's biggest challenge comes when he must play against his former basketball team from the reservation, whose star player is Junior's exbest friend, Rowdy. After winning the game, Junior became popular, but he is sad also, because he broke Rowdy's heart. The book was very brilliant for me. It is a a novel about hope, about who has it and who doesn't, and about how hard life can be when hope leaves and also how life can change when hope reappears. The book is a search for finding a place where Junior can feel at home and use his talents. This was a wonderful, original, and fast read book for me. ,,The absolutely true diary of a part-time indian" is great read for all ages, i strongly recommended to read it. It is very fun and sad together. The book is filled with bravery- it shows how to cope with difficulties in the brand-new situation and also provides an overview of the Native American way of life

You need to buy your own food, you have to pay the bills, you have to compensate your study loan so the working is necessary. I think that having a job is useful in many ways. When you are working you can practise independence. You just have to manage, you do not have your mom beside you who is helping you out and finding solutions for everything. Besides the independence, you can receive practice of work. Practice of work is important when you are going to apply for your dream work. the books, but in the film, the director has tried to make Erik seem better. In my opinion it was unnecessary because although Erik was more violent in the book, he still made a positive impression. But in the movie some of the most important scenes were left out and the movie lost a lot with that. It seems that the director tried to make Erik seem like a non-violent hero or something like that. At first, when I found out that "Evil" is going to be on TV, I was really exited in seeing it and finding out on how it had been produced. But after seeing it, I was somewhat disappointed, because as I've said, the producer left out some of the best parts. But those who hadn't read the book and watched it with me really liked it, so I guess it was a pretty good film. On the other hand, one of my friend who had read the book, thought the same as me. So I guess I would really recommend the book, but I would only recommend the movie to those, who have not read the book.

and virtuous life according to the rules of the monastery. Access of women to the Episcopal Castle was forbidden by threat of death. A legend tells that a canon fell in love with an Estonian girl and brought secretly the maiden into the castle. She hid by dressing as a choirboy and remained a secret for a long time, but when the bishop visited Haapsalu again, the young singer caught his attention and he ordered an investigation of the singer's gender.[5] Upon finding the girl, the bishop summoned his council and it decided that the girl should be immured in the wall of the chapel and the canon was to be put in prison where he was starved to death. The builders left a cavity into the wall and the poor girl with a piece of bread and a mug of water was walled in. For some time her cries for help were heard. Learning foreign language-- Why is it necessary-

Learning foreign language - Why is it necessary?

I mean some Russians. I understand that they do not need it but they should speak Estonian too. Many companies in modern world are international and most communicating is in English. And if you wanna be successful you need to speak language perfectly. If your work involves regular contact with speakers of foreign languages, being able to talk to them in their own languages will help you to communicate with them. Knowledge of foreign languages may also increase your chances of finding a new job, getting a promotion or a transfer overseas, or of going on foreign business trips. Many English-speaking business people don't bother to learn other languages because they believe that most of the people they do business with in foreign countries can speak English, and if they don't speak English, interpreters can be used. Language influences culture, so learning a language helps you to understand how other people think, and it also helps you to get a general

For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice, Turning again toward childish treble, pipes And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all, That ends this strange eventful history, Is second childishness and mere oblivion, Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything. (W. Shakespeare) There lie more answers beneath these poetical phrases than one could ever give when describing a textbook just like the actors, we seek for knowledge without really finding it until we've finished the play. Every written piece of paper is something precious it contains information that can either make our day or totally ruin the mood; that's the secret of all books. They have the power to change the world up-side down. The English textbook given to us this year is something we must carefully treasure after all, there are going to be more people next year either to praise or suffer from it. But not the

I'd rather work as a Secretary than in some pub as a barmaid, because it is definitely more peaceful and steady job than in some pub serving drunk people. Secretary's main tasks are answering phone calls, receiveing and sending e-mails and documents, meeting different clients, finding out their needs and trying to solve everyday business problems; also arranging meetings and receptions. She has a responsibility of making sure that the organisation runs efficiently. A Company Secretary should ensure the well-being and growth of the company, its Board of Directors and all Stakeholders. She should also provide all types of support and guidance to the directors, helping them in discharging their duties. They should advise the

Pros and cons of social networking

It makes people feel like they are not alone. However the con to this is that social media causes people to spend less time interacting face to face. I think it’s not good because if they are always in social media talking with friends then people can’t interact with people outside the internet. If the people are not used to speaking in real life then it could be difficult to impress yourself with words to other people and because of this it could be difficult finding a job. Social networking sites help students do better at school. It helps students browse quickly the information they need and not waste time on searching from millions of books. It helps students do homework faster and then they can have free time to do hobbies. It could also provide distance learning due to sickness or travelling. The Pilgrim Fathers

On November 9th, 1620, the `Mayflower' sighted what is now Cape Cod. Despite seeing land, the crew of the `Mayflower' searched for another month to find somewhere to land. Where they eventually landed was called New Plymouth. On December 25th, after finding a place where the `Mayflower' could be safely anchored, the Pilgrim Fathers began to build the first house for common use. By February 1621, 50% of the Pilgrim Fathers had died as a result of the cold weather and the inadequate housing that they had built for themselves. A Native American called Squanto helped those Pilgrim Fathers who survived the harsh winter. He showed them how to sow maize and how to cultivate the crop. Seeds brought from England were of little use in their new environment

How to Stop Water Pollution

Pick Up Litter Picking up litter wherever you find it is honestly the best, fastest way to do your part to stop this type of water pollution. While it may not sound very extravagant, the simple act of not passing by this pollution is a pretty powerful one. Organize Cleaning Parties Organize cleaning parties with local people to make the reach larger. Get businesses involved as sponsors who will donate prizes to the person who collects the most trash if you're having a hard time finding people to sign up to help. Once you get the ball rolling, you might be surprised at just how many people are willing to step up to help you clean up your local waterways. You Can Make a Difference While water pollution solutions may seem like too little, too late when viewed in the light of major oil spills and floating plastic bag islands they are necessary to prevent these problems from growing worse. Simply slowing down the rate of pollution can give the environment and

Structuring and identifying the environment is a vital ability among all mobile animals. Many kinds of cues are used: the visual sensations of color, shape, motion, or polarization of light, as well as other senses such as smell, sound, touch, kinesthesia, sense of gravity, and perhaps of electric or magnetic fields .To become completely lost is perhaps a rather rare experience for most people in the modern city. We are supported by the presence of others and by special way-finding devices: maps, street numbers, route signs, bus placards. But let the mishap of disorientation once occur, and the sense of anxiety and even terror that accompanies it reveals to us how closely it is linked to our sense of balance and well-being. The very word "lost" in our language means much more than simple geographical uncertainty; it carries overtones of utter disaster. A good environmental image gives its possessor an important sense of emotional security. He can establish an
