Dog Communication Kristjan Olt Dog communication comes in a variety of forms, and is part of the foundation of dog social behaviour. Dogs use certain movements of their bodies and body parts and different vocalizations to express their emotions. One gesture may mean many different things. For example a tail wag may mean: Excitement Playfulness Happiness Anxiety Greeting ritual When one dog meets another dog, they usually walk around each other, sniff each other or even bark if they don't like something Body movements Tail position usually shows dog's mood. Ear position shows dogs level of attention Mouth expressions inform us about dogs mood Dogs use their tongue to lick each other and that is the sign of friendliness. Dogs stamp their legs when exited.
protest is an expression of bearing witness on behalf of an express A cause by words or actions with regard to particular events, policies or situations. But why people protest? What are the reasons behind protest? The first thing that comes to my mind is that people protest because they live boring lives. They have nothing to do or they can find excitement anywhere. When something as exciting as protest happens those people might join it just to reduce the boredome in their lives. The other reason why people protest is peer pressure. During revolutions and protests people start judging and criticizing those who don’t participate in the events. Under the effect of peer pressure the ones with low self esteem find themselves forced to take a direction just to please others and not because in what was going on. Those are some of the main reasons
literature of this period is no longer local. Literature presents the vivid reflection of that momentous struggle for independence upon which the American colonies had entered. Fiery speeches, able arguments set forth in newspapers and in pamphlets, sharp and bitter satire. From the beginning of the conflict to the end, there was a copious flow of verse which sprang naturally enough from the turbulence of popular excitement and emotion. Poets John Trumbull Joel Barlow (17501831) (17541812) McFingal The Columbiad Timothy Dwight (17521817) The Conquest of Canaan Columbia, Columbia, to glory arise I Love thy Kingdom, Lord Francis Hopkinson (1737 1791 ) The Battle of the Kegs The Yankee's Return from Camp
I felt my heart sink as I saw go but I soon began to feel better.the times passed quickly and I started making new friends so I began loving the school. However even today, when I think of my first day at school 1 remember the fear that I had and how my teacher and my friends helped me to overcome this feeling. My memories of the first day at school haunt me till today. Never again have I experienced such a mixture of strange feelings. The anxiety of being in school along with the excitement of making new friends- all these made my first day at school most memorable and I long for the innocence and fun that was common among me and my friends.

All the chapters are journals of characters. Also the book has ten pages of notes which are explanations of different places, names and expressions. ‘’Dracula’’ has cathegorised under many different genres of literature – vampire literature, horror fiction, gothic novel and invasion literature. For me it is mostly horror fiction, although I find this more as a fantasy literature or thriller. I do not think there is something really horrifying but there is the excitement of what is going to happen next. In my opinion, ‘’Dracula’’ is a story about the good and the evil. People in England are trying to save their country, even the world, from the evil of Count Dracula, who definitely has great power to do that. Of course, this fight has its ups and downs, as usual in the stories of good and the evil. As it appears, there are no winning without loss so this is a great example of good defeating the bad. Bram Stoker’s writing is his own kind
The Review Twilight is the story of Edward and Bella's romance. Forget any vampire romance you have read before, Twilight is so unique it is almost like it's in its own genre. The book is marketed at Young Adult readers but it has the ability to cross age barriers and will satisfy both teenagers and adults alike. The story is told in first person from the perspective of Bella, so the reader only ever know what she knows, making Edward and his family a mystery that is slowly unravelled through out the book. Even by the end of the book I was still thirsting for more of the Cullen family back story - hopefully their characters might be developed further in future books. Bella herself is a well written and realistic character, shy and lacking in confidence, her sarcastic inner voice narrates the story for the reader. Twilight is simply and yet beautifully written. The descriptions of Forks leave you feeling like you can almost smell the ...

Named Black Diamond. I like it, because it kind of represents myself. Black is a deep and mystical colour. It's like hiding a secret. And diamonds are sparkling and eternal. And as it's in a song: "Diamonds are a girls best friend." And also the atmosphere of the club, would be like a black diamond. I think it would have so much success, that soon I could have a beautiful new red Lamborghini next to the entrance. But to reach all that, takes time. I like the life full of adventures and excitement, but I also like to have a nice family around me. Married or not, only thing what really matters, is love. And if everything is the way it's supposed to be, then I don't care about a paper, where's the signatures, for just saying that I have to be with somebody. When I've attained all that, then I have all the time to travel around the world, with the people I love the most. And that would be the centre of my life. The real thing to live for. Right now I don't want to waste my energy to
Would less TV and movie violence lead to fewer violent crimes TV and movies become more and more popular in each year. Reason why we enjoy that kind of entertainment is because of the excitement and fun it offers. There are lots of genres in movies and TV series but most watched of them is action where plenty of crime is shown. Because of the rise in crime and at the same time in action movies or series people have started worrying that these kind of movies affect people to commit more crimes. Firstly, action films/ TV series always include robberys, explosions, car chases, shooting and all the other more little crimes. Usually these movies/series have about
Book Report Graham Greene ,, Our Man in Havana" Liis Mägi, 12c I chose a book by Graham Greene titled ,,Our man in Havana". The reason why I decided to read exactly this book was that I found the plot introductory quite interesting and as I started reading I realised I was right. I found it quite humorous book, written in the third person and set in Havana, Cuba. The story is quite easy to follow. The novel was written right before the American embargo and the Cuba missile crisis of the 1960's, so the author was quite surely influenced by the political events at that time and created his own vision of the future. The main character of this book is Jim Wormlod, who is a vacuum cleaner salesman, but is offered a job in the British secret service by Hawthorne. He has to spy on Cuba for England. Jim lives with his daughter Milly, because his wife had left them for another man. Milly is quite demanding, having many wishes and because eb...
acquaintances from college. Daisy-s appearance and the long-lasting impression she left on men is described through her voice by her cousin Nick. I looked back at my cousin, who began to ask me questions in her low, thrilling voice. It was the kind of voice that the ear follows up and down, as if each speech is an arrangement of notes that will never be played again. Her face was sad and lovely with bright things in it, bright eyes and a bright passionate mouth, but there was an excitement in her voice that men who had cared for her found difficult to forget: a singing compulsion. Jay Gatsby is the one who fell for Daisy’s seductive and unforgettable character. To him, Daisy is the embodiment of perfection. Daisy and Jay were in a relationship long, long time ago when they were young and way before Jay left to go to fight in the war. Daisy promised to wait for him, but instead she married Tom who promised her a wealthy and otherwise great life. To Gatsby, Daisy is
WHAT IS MARRIAGE ??? ( Thoughts pouring down in ones mind ) 1. Marriage is not a word. It's a sentence (a life sentence). 2. Marriage is love. Love is blind. Therefore marriage is an institution for the blinds. 3. Marriage is an institution in which a man loses his Bachelor's Degree and the woman gets her masters. 4. Marriage is a three ring circus: engagement ring, wedding ring and suffering. 5. Married life is full of excitement and frustration: In the first year of marriage, the man speaks and the woman listens. In the second year, the woman speaks and the man listens. In the third year, they both speak and the NEIGHBOR listens. 6. Getting married is very much like going to a restaurant with friends. You order what you want, and when you see what the other person has, you wish you had ordered that instead. 7. There was this man who muttered a few words in the church and found himself married
Its effects are short-lived and it 33 tends not to negatively affect concentration or higher brain functions. However, continued 34 exposure to caffeine leads to developing a tolerance to it. Tolerance causes the body to become 35 sensitized to adenosine, so withdrawal causes blood pressure to drop, which can result in a 36 headache and other symptoms. Too much caffeine can result in caffeine intoxication, which is 37 characterized by nervousness, excitement, increased urination, insomnia, flushed face, cold 38 hands/feet, intestinal complaints, and sometimes hallucinations. Some people experience the 39 symptoms of caffeine intoxication after ingesting as little as 250 mg per day. The lethal ingested 40 dose, for an adult person, is estimated to be 13-19 grams. While generally considered safe for 41 people, caffeine can be very toxic to household pets, such as dogs, horses, or parrots. Caffeine

In the British mainlands everything is quite ok and nothing is confusig, but in Northern Ireland it has a had a negative effect on democracy for years. After polls close ballot papers are takes to be counted to the central place in the constituency. The Returning Officer makes a public announcement of the votes cast for each candidate and declares the winner of the constituency to become the MP. Election night The period after voting has become a television magnet. The first excitement is the declaring. Some constituencies want to be the first one to declare. If the count has gone smoothly the winner is announced sometime 11pm. By midnight only a handful of results have been declared and experts are making their predictions. By two in the morning half of the constituencies have declared their results and when the results are not very close the experts can predict the winners with confidence. Some constituencies have difficulty to get the votes
On the subway back from the airport she asked "Why is everyone smiling?" I looked and they weren't smiling. They just looked like they were compared to the facial expressions she was used to. If you've lived in New York, you know where these facial expressions come from. It's the kind of place where your mind may be excited, but your body knows it's having a bad time. People don't so much enjoy living there as endure it for the sake of the excitement. And if you like certain kinds of excitement, New York is incomparable. It's a hub of glamour, a magnet for all the shorter half-life isotopes of style and fame. Nerds don't care about glamour, so to them the appeal of New York is a mystery. People who like New York will pay a fortune for a small, dark, noisy apartment in order to live in a town where the cool people are really cool. A nerd looks at that deal and sees only: pay a fortune for a small, dark, noisy apartment.

For expressing purposes, comparison may be used with relative adjectives those that do not take forms of comparison. This bad grammar. E.g ,,You cannot be deader than the dead" (death is the final stage) ,,The house looked more stony (against english grammar) than ever" 9 The ending er and ist, when added to long adjectives, also violates the norm and has different formations: to suggest excitement, humour, education. e.g It is getting curioser and curioser. She was the beautifullest woman. For the sake of humor or advertising, -er and est are added to such adjectives as bad (baddest, worse), good (goodes), many (maniest, manier) etc. Sometimes, double forms of comparison are used, e.g She was getting worser and worser. 5 Adverbs They are expressive when used as intensifiers, e.g horribly smart, terribly polite, awfully pleased, frightfully charming, to love fearfully (awfully)
I didn't see a murderer in Mr Symmington, but I did see the love between Jerry and Megan coming. Although I didn't think Megan would refuse and that she had developed a mind of her own after all, taking into account that she had to follow orders throughout her life and didn't have a friend to talk to. I would definitely recommend it to others, because it is an easy reading. Firstly, due to the fact that it is a detective novel, which can keep the excitement until the end. Also, it contains a lot of sophistication and truth to understand why a certain man acts the way he does. And finally, it is an easy read for those who have English as their second language, at least easier that a lot others. There are words to which you might not know the exact replica, but the meaning of the whole sentence doesn't get lost because of that single word. 3
heavy-duty components when they design an engine intended for supercharged use. This makes the vehicle more expensive. Superchargers also cost more to maintain, and most manufacturers suggest high-octane premium- grade gas. Despite their disadvantages, superchargers are still the most cost-effective way to increase horsepower. Superchargers can result in power increases of 50 to 100 percent, making them great for racing, towing heavy loads or just adding excitement to the typical driving experience. The Roots supercharger is the oldest design. Philander and Francis Roots patented the design in 1860 as a machine that would help ventilate mine shafts. In 1900, Gottleib Daimler included a Roots supercharger in a car engine. As the meshing lobes spin, air trapped in the pockets between the lobes is carried between the fill side and the discharge side. Large quantities of air move into the intake manifold and "stack up" to create positive pressure
He clearly shares affection with his father, but can't show it. With Winifred, he can show it. While Irene is off on a drive with Swithin, Soames listens sympathetically to Winifred's latest tale of financial misbehavior from Dartie. He starts to tell Winifred about his own troubles, but is interrupted by Irene's arrival home. She's flushed, excited, happy. Winifred comments on how lovely she looks and how unfair it is on other women. Soames says nothing, but looks stricken. He knows that excitement is not for him. Meanwhile, on the other side of the Park at Timothy's, Swithin is already telling the story to the suitably shocked and titillated Aunts Juley and Hester. He shouldn't wonder if Bosinney was sweet on Mrs. Soames! He tells of catching him "slobbering" on her handkerchief. Swithin is just as captivated by Irene as Bosinney was, as Hester drily comments.Upstairs, the maid Smither tries to wake Aunt Anne, but fails. Aunt Anne is dead. (The crisis has struck deep at the root of the
"). In certain constructions pronouns stand in the end and the phrase becomes very expressive (e.g. "This idea of his!"). ADJECTIVES: expressing features of adjectives concern the degrees of comparison, especially when rules or norms are violated. We do not apply to relative adjectives a comparison, yet it is done for the sake of expressiveness. The ending er or est added to longer adjectives violates the norm and has different functions: to suggest excitement, humor, poor education ("She was the beautifulest woman."). For the sake of humor or for efficient advertising the endings er and est are added to "bad", "good", "many". Sometimes even double forms are used. VERBS: the Historical Present (present tense) in the author's narrative is used to render past events, creating the illusion of things happening at the present moment. Continuous tenses may express surprise, disbelief, indignation. Sometimes continuous tenses are more polite and mild

5 Chapter 31: Blathers and Duff, the Bow Street Runners, come into the house and ask questions about the crime to Mrs. Maylie and Dr. Losberne. Losberne recounts the circumstances to them, and they ask about the injured boy they heard the servants speaking of. Losberne tells them that Oliver had nothing to do with the crime and that in all the excitement someone mistaken him for one of the thieves. Blathers and Duff inspect the premises and demise that the robbers were professionals, probably from London. Dr. Losberne, Mrs. Maylie, and Rose debate on whether or not Oliver should tell his story to the men, and they decide that though they believed him, it was rather farfetched. In Oliver's interest, they decided to make up a fake one for the boy so they could keep him safe. Stalling the officers, they

He decides that he will, but then he remembers that his mother must have been in pain when she made the cakes and that she meant them for him. He compromises by giving the prisoners two of the cakes. Summary When Paul returns to the front, he finds Kat, Müller, Tjaden, and Kropp still alive and uninjured. He shares his potato cakes with them. There is excitement among the ranks: the kaiser, the emperor of Germany, is coming to see the army. In preparation for his visit, everything is cleaned thoroughly, and all the soldiers are given new clothes. But when the kaiser arrives, Paul and the others are disappointed to see that he is not a very remarkable man. After he leaves, the new clothes are taken away. Paul and his friends muse that if a certain thirty people in the world had said "no" to the war, it would not have happened. They

The wolves raise their voices in raw howls of sheer animal power, then let them soften to haunting, melancholy cries. [With Winter's moody soprano sax in call and response fashion, the effect is] to lift listeners out of their everyday lives, and into another world. And as the wolf serenade reaches its emotional crescendo, that's exactly what is happening to Bill. [...] He feels deeply, serenely at peace. Then, suddenly, he is seized by a surge of excitement. It rushes up from the gut in a burst of joy and energy, and before he can think twice about it, Bill is on his feet, with his head thrown back, and he is howling from the bottom of his soul. Remarkably, at the same moment, other people have begun to howl. At first it's half a dozen, scattered throughout the church. But in moments others follow their lead and soon the entire cathedral is alive with joyous noise, as hundreds of people joyfully join in the primal song of the wolves."
I dropped my stuff in the bottom drawer of my desk and when I saw that Mark wasn't in yet, I grabbed a cup of coffee and returned to my cubicle to catch up on my new favorite ad-biz blogs. "Eva!" I jumped when he appeared beside me, his grin a flash of white against his smooth dark skin. "Good morning, Mark." "Is it ever. You're my lucky charm, I think. Come into my office. Bring your tablet. Can you work late tonight?" I followed him over, catching on to his excitement. "Sure." "I'd hoped you'd say that." He sank into his chair. I took the one I'd sat in the day before and quickly opened a notepad program. "So," he began, "we've received an RFP for Kingsman Vodka and they mentioned me by name. First time that's ever happened." "Congratulations!" "I appreciate that, but let's save them for when we've actually landed the account. We'll still

I refused to think that I might be shopping alone in Seattle this weekend, no longer interested in the earlier arrangement. Surely he wouldn't cancel without at least telling me. After school, Jessica followed me home in her old white Mercury so that I could ditch my books and truck. I brushed through my hair quickly when I was inside, feeling a slight lift of excitement as I contemplated getting out of Forks. I left a note for Charlie on the table, explaining again where to find dinner, switched my scruffy wallet from my school bag to a purse I rarely used, and ran out to join Jessica. We went to Angela's house next, and she was waiting for us. My excitement increased exponentially as we actually drove out of the town limits. 8. PORT ANGELES Jess drove faster than the Chief, so we made it to Port Angeles by four. It had been a while since I'd had

" He did not know the meaning of KZD, but it seemed likely in view of what happened that it meant "Send in code," making the whole phrase "Send in old code." Could the Germans have been so stupid as to compromise their new code within an hour after putting it into service by sending the same message in both the old and the new systems? Berthold's blue eyes fairly snapped and the few pale wisps of hair that lay against his bald pate almost stood up with excitement as he decoded the second x2 message with his reconstructed KRU. It read: UYC REM KUL RHI KWZ RLF RNQ KRD RVJ UOB KUU An [?] Bn. 2 h i r sch w UQX UFQ RQK i tt e The KWZ and UOB appeared to be nulls, used—almost certainly in violation of regulations—as word dividers, and REM probably meant Kommandant. When Berthold checked this against the second message, he saw at once that it had the same plaintext. The repetitions of the
The popular tabloid press does not primarily sell news but negative emotion – food for the pain-body. “Outrage” screams the three-inch headline, or “Bastards.” The British tabloid press excels at this. They know that negative emotion sells far more papers than news does. There is a tendency in the news media in general, including television, to thrive on negative news. The worse things get, the more excited the presenters become, and often the negative excitement is generated by the media itself. Pain-bodies just love it. THE COLLECTIVE FEMALE PAIN-BODY The collective dimension of the pain-body has different strands in it. Tribes, nations, races, all have their own collective pain—body, some heavier than others, and most members of that tribe, nation or race have a share in it to a greater or lesser degree. Almost every woman has her share in the collective female pain-body,
place where all the rules are set aside or deliberately forgotten, and nothing matters but the instinctive choices of the heart and soul of the artist. But even that is a principle, and those who say they reject principles and theories can't avoid subscribing to a few of them: Avoid formula, distrust order and pattern, resist logic and tradition. Artists who operate on the principle of rejecting all form are themselves dependent on form. T h e freshness and excitement of their work comes from its contrast to the pervasiveness o f formulas a n d p a t t e r n s in the culture. However, these artists run the risk o f reaching a l i m i t e d audience because m o s t people can't relate to totally unconventional art. By definition it doesn't intersect w i t h commonly held patterns of experience. T h e i r work might only be appreciated by other artists, a small part of the community in any time or place. of anything. In the Finale, Dolce, Sumera’s work is reminiscent of his late teacher Heino Eller (the poem Dawn) in a resembling texture, as he did in the previous symphony. Example 236. The timbres are treated as dramatic factors. A German critic notes: This [the Fourth Symphony] exposed its passionate swing in primordial strength with dynamic extremes in orchestration. Sumera puts the orchestra in the state of incessant excitement. With the subtitle Serena Borealis, the composer hints at the odour of nocturne. The music illustrates the Northern wind and sirens, it is casting a spell on natural powers. 1 With his last symphonies, Sumera turned into an epic-elegiac-dramatic poly- colourist. Such a style is flexible but the colours cannot replace fixed schematic images. The composer impresses the listener more through the general presentation of the whole. His music is less informative, more cognitive.
used the BUG products has been trapped by the reciprocity rule. Many such cus- tomers yield to a sense of obligation to order the products that they have tried and partially consumed-and, of course, by now the Amway Corporation knows that to be the case. In the span of "Oh, really?!" I was on him like a two-year-old Labrador on someone's leg. The 20 questions were just getting started, and the wine hadn't even arrived yet. His cousin, a close friend of mine, chimed in, as I was already plotting experiments in my mind: "Trust me. He's interested. This is all he thinks about. It's weird." And that is how I rst heard the name "DexCom." I jotted it down and did my best to act normal. It was hard to contain my excitement. Soon thereafter, I knew all about DexCom. I called their headquarters, I called the head of marketing, I called the head of education, I spoke with the chief scienti c o cer, and I read about Charlie Kimball, over and over again. Charlie Kimball is a type 1 diabetic. Unlike type 2 diabetics, he needs to inject insulin multiple times per day. He also happens to be a professional race car driver. In 2006, Charlie became the rst American to ever win an F3 Euroseries race. Then, in 2007,
