But what exaclty is a philospher's stone? To begin with its not actually a stone at all. It's not a
solid rocky substance but a compound substance. That would have been kind of a liquid or
jem. Also it is said that the philospher's stone is a unusually heavy red powder or sometimes a
red stone. But you also encounter it a yellow waxy material perhaps something like amber.
The philosopher's stone isn't can't be found but instead you have to creat it. The problem is
that no one know excaktly how.
Why did they look for a philosopher's stone? Because besides the ability to make base metals
into noble ones it was said to have another even greater power. It could potentionally make
the holder of philospher's stone immortal. So the stakes were high. Everybody knew that they
could rule the world with this mysthical substance. But now everybody believed in it. Mixing
together diferent substances probably shorten their life span by decades. They spent their
