Surviving exams article

Surviving exams Taking an exam or test is something everyone has experienced in one form or another at some point in life. Everyone gets stressed during exams but it is important not to let it get out of control. The suggestions below may help you cope with the stress and revise for examinations successfully. Firstly, I think it would be a good idea to create a study timetable for revision. A timetable helps you to make clear goals for each revision session and assign a timescale in which to achieve them. As a result, you can reduce anxiety, reassure that you have taken all your necessary steps and increase your motivation to sit down and learn.

Kirjand " Eksamid on kohustuslikud " (" Exams are a must ")

Exams are a must. Are they necessary? Recently, exams are made quite often and also to early, even in primary schools. People think they are the best way to test intelligence. But is it so? I think no, they aren't best way to test intelligent. Because the majority of students are very nervous during exams and they can't focus and making mistakes. There also will not be enough time. Does anyone in real life situation prohibit you to check your spelling grammar from dictionary or look online help for the problems. Some people are smarter, while others do not. Also I hate thinking like all people need to be good at any skill. It's impossible, there are smart people and creative people, never both, who have both skills have poor skills. And we are not able to change this

What would i change if i were minister of education.

Russian. Our children should do more practical exercises in school and develop creative thinking. In addition to that I would give more money to our schools and raise also teatchers salary. This would boost up their motivation to give quality education to our children. Also i would invite more exchange students into our schools and send our children more often to learn in foreign countrys. The last thing I would change is the amount of the final exams. I would change all school exams into national exams. I hope that the new generation make necessary changes and my children get more modern and complete education.

How to write a formal letter? Kuidas kirjutada ametlikku kirja?

None of them worked hard I guess, they just walk in school from door to door and they think that they can just achieve theirs purposes like that. They need some experiences and things which can give them something to learn. In the future, they can't just celebrate and walk on air every day. They have to face difficulties and learn that somethimes there are hard times in everyone's life. Having done the exams and they're celebrating and being proud of themselves. There must me some equality of treatment, equal oppurtunities and some respect for last years' students. They learned and worked hard and now couple of classes come and make the exams like a simple test in maths for example. If one day, I had a chance to make those exams I would be definitely more equal to the others. I'm looking forward hearing form you soon. Yours faithfully, ...................

Aitamiskiri

Dear Paul I was sorry to hear about your problem. The exams are very important and difficult but I think I can help you. The first thing you have to do is tell your parents. They can help you get back on track with your studies. It's easier if you share your problems with others. Remember, a trouble shared is a trouble halved. You won't have to lie to them anymore and they will encourage you so you won't be so worried about the exams. When you have told your parents about your results you really should stop worrying so much. This is your main problem. The more you say to yourself you can't do it the less are youre chances of passing. Even geniuses can't get a good score if they worriy so much. If I were you I would go into the nature and relax for a while. Rest for some time and when you feel ready and calm you should start revising. Figure out what went wrong and learn as much as you can

I have to spend all my time to studing, because the exams are coming, as you know. I'm not very good at maths so I'm thinking about taking a private teacher. It's quite expensive, but I have to pass the exams, so It's OK. Thanks for the invitation to visit you at London. I've never been there but I'm sure It's great. I would love to see you after these years. I think you have not change at all. I'm glad that I can see uncle Joe for last! You have written so much about him. Did he bought a new car yet?

The Estonian Education System

Estonian law requires all children to be in full-time education from age of seven. In Estonia the National Curriculum is compulsory for all schools. The academic year begin on the first of September and is divided into four terms. So pupils have four holidays: a week in October, two weeks at Christmas, a week in March and three months in summer. Most Estonian children receive free education in state schools. School uniform is not compulsory. At the end of basic school pupils take three exams and at the end of twelfth form pupil take five exams. On completion of basic education, studies may be continue in a general secondary school or in a vocational institution. Higher education is divided into two parallel sectors, applied higher education and the academic higher education. There are six public universities in Estonia. Students can obtain a loan pay for their studies and live expenses. Some student can get a grant if they excel in their studies.

Because I'm planned to visit you. It would happen about one month!? I come alone. One week I would be at your place. If you agree with it, I'd like to reserve tickets. My other future plan is go to eurovision in Moscow. This year are very many new rules there. Why I want to go there ? Because Moscow is a miracular/wonderful city. One bad thing is too ... Moscow is the most exspensive city in the whole wide world. So i have to collect much money. I go there few of my friends. Soon my exams begin. I have three exams. One is my mother tongue, the second is mathematics and the third one is English. I hope I will have positive marks. My dress is already boughten and shoes too. At the moment I search hairdresser. These are my future plans. Certainly those come more, but know I have to go. My mother calling me and she also say hello to you. All the best Brenda

Mistake

school’s entrance examinations. I promised to myself that I will spend at least half an hour a day to revise all the things I had learned in primary school. I had always dreamed of studying there. During the first week I could almost keep my promise and spent the time I wanted to spend on revising, but after that I got very lazy and did not keep up with my revising at all. So time went by and I did not worry at all about the entrance exams until the day they were already there. The examination took place in room 204. It lasted for 3 hours and I spent every last second of it, because it proved to be very difficult. A month later I received a letter from the school. The letter stated that I hadn’t passed the exams and so I had to go into a high school which I also liked but was not particularly my dream school. From that mistake I learned that if I really want something I have to go for it and never give up

Teacher's questions

I don't like Russian at all. Russian is difficult subject for me. 2. Would you like to become a teacher? Why /why not? I don't want to become a teacher. I think that it's difficult. Teachers don't have much free time. In school they must teach and the workday is quite long. I think that maybe seven to eight hours. But in home they must correct students' tests or make preparations for next days. I don't like a job like this. I need more free time. 3. Do the results of school exams show the students' true abilities? I think that exams are very important. Everybody must do the language exam. I think that schools exams show the students' true abilities. Exams show that how educated we are. But sometimes some people can't make out with stress and nervousness. But it's still necessary. 4. If you could change something in the education system in Estonia, what would you do? I like sleep long. And because of this I would start the school later. Maybe 10 o'clock. I think that

Dear Tom, I talked to your sister and found out, that you are going to take an exam next week. I wanted to give you some advice. Last year I took my exams so I believe I could help you. First off I strongly recommend you to have a good night sleep the night before your exam. Study everything you might need but try not to overdo the studying. After all the exam is to test whether you have learned anything during the years you have spent in school. I believe you'll do just fine with the exams. Best wishes, Betti. Dear Kate, I think that travelling is the best way to broaden you mind and to explore the world. I haven't travelled a lot recently. The last place I visited was Finland, which was in August 2008. Most of the trips I've taken were when I was too young to remember them. For instance

Choosing the right way to revise guarantees success at the exam I Choosing the right way to revise guarantees success at the exam. II For the start, as we know revising for exams can be quite stressful because we have a lot of information to cover. But finding the proper way for you can help you alot! III I actually agree with this statement. In fact, i think that you should find out how you memorize thing in class in order to find out the best way to revise for the exam. For example, if you have a hearing memory, then maybe you should consider recording your notes onto your computer or MP3 player. You should listen to them when you are out

them or how politics work for that matter. I find having a dialogue with students is a good opportunity for creating good relationships between the two parties in question. Secondly, I find it necessary to make sure that understood the system. If I were an English teacher I certainly would not be an epicene, sterile and clinical ,,toad". On contrary, I would make the best out of me to forbid all final exams and tests because I find final exams and sending students to olympiads rather pointless and waste of time because all in all they chase only the facts. Ability to think has fallen back substantially. I would do everything to help them undestand the system in addition to the facts or basic grammar. In conlcusion I would like to say that it is certain that teachers are the true 'salt of the earth' but do they have to be always combed and wearing a tie. I, as an English teacher, would

Estonian and British Education System

At age sixteen, they have to take the General Certificate of Secondary Education exam (GCSE). A-level is an Advanced level GCE qualification. This exam is normally taken after two years of A-level study. In Estonia, at the end of basic education there are three final examinations: Mother tongue, Mathematics, and a chosen exam. At the end of secondary education there are five graduation examinations: Mother tongue, Mathematics, English language and two chosen exams. Also, in eleventh form you have to do research. To conclude, the main differences between British and Estonian system are basically connected with school names and ages. British examination system differs from Estonian system largely. Why I came to study English essay

the time. Up until 6th grade I was the best student in our class, winning mathematic competitions left and right and not only that. By that time I had also found out that I loved to write, specially poems and I used every opportunity to submit my works for competitions and I had the luck to win some of them. It felt good to be one of the best students in our class. As the school went on and I finally found myself in 9 th grade, just before the exams, and I realised that in the following years after my graduation from elementary school, my mathematic skills had gotten a bit rusty and I was mortified. Our teachers kept saying to us that math is really important in the future and that you have to have the knowledge in mathemathics to actually achieve something in your life. But still, there I was, writing poems and essays, even in my free time, because unlike my skills in maths and other subjects like

And could be that it is just popular today: dreaming about leaving your hometown and studying abroad. For today my plans are to study till 12th form and then enter the university. In future I will also improve my foreign languages. At the beginning of this summer I must pass my exams and only then I will enjoy my summer holidays. I would be very glad to visit some hot country this summer. As for my future job I wouldn't like to work for someone else, I would like myself to be employer; I would prefer to have my own business.

Stress is a natural part of people

What can they do to cope with it? Millions of people around the world live in stress. In particular young people are more often a subject to stress. I want to talk about the stress that young people have. In general there are two types of stress: negative stress and positive stress. First type is the positive stress. It is very important in our life. Positive stress gives you the energy to throw yourself into something what you want to do very well. For example, approximation for exams. In this situation a student begins to learn diligently all materials that he didn’t learn before. On the other hand, we have negative stress too. This type of makes people nervous and they can’t be positive. Nowadays we have a lot of sources of stress. For instance: problems at school, quarrels with friend or other people, emotional problems. In the same way, changes that occur with the body are a big cause of stress too. However in our life we have a lot of ways to get rid of stress

About myself

I am stubborn at times. But to my mind being persistent is not always a bad thing. It means my aim, I never leave things half done. At times I feel dissatisfied with myself, especially when I fail to do something or can't do things the way they should be done. At the same time I think I am hard working and diligent. My greatest problem at school was talking in front of the class. I always blushed and went red. Very soon I'll pass my final exams at school and after a farewell party at the end of the June I'll say goodbye to my teachers who are very welleducated people with broad outlook and deep knowledge of the subjects. They encouraged me in my disire of choosing my future career. School meant a lot to me and it wasn't just learning and studying. I had made good friends there and met many interesting people. I faced a new life without school with a mixed feeling of sadness and joy.

If I were the Minister of Education in Estonia

If I were the Minister of Education in Estonia During my years being a student, I have noticed that there have been some changes in the Estonian educational system. Some of them are useful, some are not. Yet I think there are still many things that could use a change. I think, that one good change has been made related to the national exams, they have been improved a lot. This has assured an ongoing high level of education in Estonia. I have noticed the use of active teaching methods and personal approach to the students. If I would be the Minister of Education, I would make the first change in turning the

Lühike monoloog "Luck"

When someone does not win a card game or misses a shot in basketball then they often think that they are unlucky. People who say that they have bad luck are negative. For example they woun´t even play bingo or take part in raffle. They think that because they are unlucky they can not be lucky. I am sure that if they wait something good will happen their lives. I like to wish people good luck, because i think it is a nice thing to say if someone has an interview or an exam. But people pass exams or interviews because they studied hard or spoke well, not because of luck. People who consider to be lucky just embrace that idea that they are lucky start approacing life a bit differently. And because they thing that they are lucky people take more risks haing more unplanned events. But there is also a possibility that the same event can be lucky and unlucky for a person. For example someone who had a bad car accident and broke three ribs and both legs, Yes we can say that he was
