provocative, rebellious, narcissistic, truthful and a clever man. He is not the kind of person you would miss walking down the street. He has said that he looks like a second Jesus. This man has sholder-length dark curly and very messy hair, which he has said only works on a man when you are famous, otherwise you would look like a mental illness. He has a short beard and is quite skinny and scruffy looking. Some people have even said that he looks effeminate and homeless. His style is quite hard to describe. Sometimes the man looks very decent and formal wearing suits, ties and even a top hat. On other times he dresses up completely crazily. For example he has been spotted wearing a pirate costume, pajamas, bloody t-shirt, cowboy hat, underwear and even womens dresses. Some would say he is completely insane, but other argue that he is just so brilliant he acts crazy. This man is Russell Brand
connected to Nick Carraway, the novel's narrator. Daisy is Nick's cousin and Tom was once a member of his social club at Yale. Tom was a football player, enjoys polo and is a racist. Nick describes Tom's appearance quite well: ,,He was a sturdy straw-haired man of thirty with a rather hard mouth and a supercilious manner.
