Report The aim of this report is to compare Estonian and British students opinion on educational system. We wrote down our opinion on the 6th of september 2012 in our english class. We had 12 students who gave an opinion about the Estonian educational system. Corporal punishment is illegal in British and Estonian schools. 62% of British childrens think that it would be needful but only 31% Estonian childrens have the same opinion. Actually it could be not banned, because if they used controlled corporal punishment it is not likely to be harmful. I would argue that there were actually fewer discipline problems back in the old days when corporal punishment was more common. Most school in England require children to wear school uniform

school uniforms are more wide-spread in British schools than in Estonian schools. CORPORAL PUNISHMENT ISSUE That topic also, surprised. All of questioned Estonian students disapproved the use of corporal punishment. 62% of the questioned British students agreed to corporal punishment. The results were one end to another. That shows clearly, how different the education systems of Estonia and the United Kingdom are. CONCLUSION This reports shows us, how different the educational systems of Estonia and Britain really are. I would prefer the Estonian educational system over Britain’s, but the only reason is that I am an Estonian, if I were British I would most definitely choose British educational system. If I were the Minister of Education in Estonia During my years being a student, I have noticed that there have been some changes in the Estonian educational system. Some of them are useful, some are not. Yet I think there are still many things that could use a change. I think, that one good change has been made related to the national exams, they have been improved a lot. This has assured an ongoing high level of education in Estonia. Our colleges' curriculums have also certified our college students' competitivity worldwide. I would like to bring out the education getting more and more creative as a positive change.
klassifitseerida teadmisi ning erinevad valdkonnad on keskendunud erinevatele dimensioonidele. Tulemusena on tekkinud arvestataval hulgal klassifikatsioone sõltuvalt filosoofial ja isegi usul. Äriteadmuses on tavapäraselt eristatud kahte liiki teadmisi otseseid ja kaudseid. Esimene keskendub rohkem sellisele teadmisele, mis on kodeeritud ehk kuskilt dokumentidest leitav sellal kui teine keskendub mittekodeeritule ehk sageli isiklikele kogemustele tuginevatele teadmistele (AN Educational KM Site, 2015). Juttudel ning nende vestmisel on teadupärast erinevaid väljundeid, tihtipeale meenuvad esmalt jutuvestmised lastele, kuid tegelikult võib sellel olla veelgi kaugem ja mõjukam sisu ning seda teadmusjuhtimise kontekstis. Jutustus on maailma mõistmise ja teadmiste edasiandmise peamine vahend. Jutustus teeb võimalikuks inimestevahelise kommunikatsiooni, jutustuste jagamisel põhineb kultuur ja traditsioon
School Standards and Framework Act 1998 järgi peab KOV tegelema varajase märkamisega tagamaks kõikide alates 3a. laste vajaduste rahuldamise. Selleks kasutab KOV Early Years Development and Childcare Partnerships programmi, mille abil saab vanematele anda teavet erivajduste kohta ja samuti jälgida lapse arengut, selleks et avastada võimalikud kõrvale kalded juba varases eas. Eelnevate nõuete täitmise üheks mooduseks on KOV poolt koostatud Accessibility Plan (Ligipääsetavuse Plaan), milles kirjeldatakse kuidas HEV õpilastele on hariduse omandamine riigikoolides kätte saadavamaks muudetud.
Advantages and disadvantages of learning in groups There are three 10th grades in our school at the moment and the students are shared into seven groups. The groups have different teachers. At first I thought that the groups are made by educational success but this is not true. There are fifteen stundents in my group and most of them are from 10c. Only 4 girls are from 10a and from 10b there are no students in my group. In my opinion it is a great chance to make friends with everybody who graduates the sameyear with me and one of the most important advantages is fellow feeling. I think it is better if the groups are made by educational success. There are weakers and strongers in one group. If the teacher deals only with the strongers,
If I were the minister of education in Estonia. Many people think that our school system is out of date and we should make it more modern. Even teachers and students say that some changes need to be made. Maybe our government should consultate more with poeple who know the real situtation when they create new laws. If I were minister of education I would deffenetly prefere American educational system to Russian. Because our new generation of children use English a lot more than Russian. In addition I would give more money to renovate our schools and raise also teatchers salary and students scholarship. This would boost up their motivation to give quality education to our children. Also i would invite more exchange students into our schools and send our children more often to learn in foreign countrys.

In my opinion the lecture was difficult, but very exciting. Thirdly, the lecture that was carried out by two women. The subject of that lecture was organ labor standards and transplatations. Every person has a right to choose to assign their organ or not. It's possible to implant lungs, heart, liver, kidneys, pancreas and small intestine. In Estonia it's not possible to transplant a heart and small intestine. In my opinion that lecture was the best. To sum up, I would say that today was very educational. I think that there should be more events like this and certainly hope that I can participate next year.
Methods students should adopt to select the right university Ones choice of university will affect their life both socially and professionally so it is important to make a wise decision. Finding the perfect university or college can seem challenging at first because of the endless opportunities offered. The course range given to students is extensive and the decision can be difficult due to a broad spectrum of higher educational institutions. When choosing the ideal university, it is essential to do research as early as possible and take it rather seriously. First, one should try to narrow down the possibilities by a simple process of elimination. By figuring out the area of study and other relevant elements like the size or location, the decision will most likely become simpler. It is important to remember that no university is good at everything and has particular areas they specialize in
The Ideal School for my children The ideal school for my children is an independent, nonprofit school that provides a comprehensive educational program for children of all abilities. The program would be designed to address each student's unique academic, social, and emotional needs while reinforcing individual strengths, interests, and abilities. Differentiated, individualized instruction is based on the learning style of each child. Most science classes would take place outdoors. Children would be exposed to great literature, art, and music and encouraged to make their own relationships with these works.

Comparison of Education in Britain and Estonia When looking into the educational systems of Britain and Estonia, several differences appear. In this essay I am going to point out some of the most distinguish features in the education of both countries. Firstly, there are dissimilarities in the age at which children go to school. In Estonia the age is 7 whereas in Britain children start their educational journey already as young as 5 years old. Primary school lasts 6 years just like in Estonia but the pupils in Britain are 2 years younger when they finish primary school than the pupils in Estonia. However, students in Britain and Estonia finish secondary school at the same age because secondary school lasts 5 years in Britain instead of 3 like it is in Estonia. Altogether, compulsory school in Britain lasts 11 years which is 2 years more than in Estonia.
shortens the childhood and may affect negatively self-esteem, success and coping in the future. Children´s job is to play, it develops child the best, so I think anyone shouldn't forbit humans inherent needs. Children don´t have to become too fast to an adult. The high school in Great Britain starts at age eleven, but in Estonia at about age fifteen. Biggest difference is that in Great Britain they prepare young people to get a job or continue studing, but in Estonia this is only first step of educational life. After primary school in Estonia you have two ways to walk: high school or industrial school, where they get profession. Youngsters in United States of America and Great Britain have easier to make choice choosing a profession, because there they start to prepare people to get a job very early. High schools in Estonia teaches every subject almost equally, so everyone have to study everything, except for some schools that are oriented to teach few subjects in depth (IT classes, art classes

Television is a daily presence in the lives of most young children . TV is playing a very big role in their life. Television has its good side. It can be entertaining and educational, and can open up new worlds for kids, giving them a chance to travel the globe, learn about different cultures. However spending time watching TV can take time away from healthy activities like active play outside with friends, eating dinner together as a family, or reading. TV time also takes away from participating in sports, music or art.
To exemplify the principle of the linkage of the present with past, Dewey (1938) uses the example of natural science because contemporary social life is how we know it because of the application and results of physical science. He affirms that it is a sound educational principle that educators should introduce learners to scientific subject matter and its facts and laws through the familiarity with everyday social applications such as the use of appliances that utilize electricity, heat, and light. Dewey (1938) explains: The scientific method is the only authentic means at our command for getting at the significance of our everyday experiences of the world in which we live. It means that scientific method provides a working pattern of the way

Introduction I'm writing my book review about Agroecological Economics. Which is written by Paul Wojtkowski, who is very famous as leading proponent and analyst. This book presents a wide range of new and diverse techniques for sustainable agriculture for the purpose of enhancing economic interest. Since agriculture is growing really convivially, the emphasis is on changing from conventional agriculture to more efficient systems and practise. This book is very educational because it explains how is the best way to analyze the experimental results from intercropping and multiple cropping trials. Also offers a means for risk assessments. I chose this book because my family also is engaged to farm business and agriculture. This book has 293 pages which includes 16 chapters, it was first published in 2008, so it is quite new book. It was very interesting to read about because there were lots of themes and tips about how to cultivate our soil

Estonia The Lake School of English 14 Park End Street Oxford OX1 1JQ Dear Ms Barden, 3 September 2009 thank you for being my English teacher on a two-week language course at the Lake School of English in Oxford. My English has gone much more better. Now I have less grammatical mistakes in speech and in writing. I learned about the British educational system and I saw the most important places in Southern Brittain. I also made some new friends in Oxford. We promised to each other to exchange some postcards and write letters. They are really outgoing and friendly. I hope I can come to Oxford in the next year. Thank you for the language course, which was the best part of my summer. Yours sincerely, Malle Maasikas
Book opinion I read the book “To Kill A Mockingbird” written by Harper Lee, published in 1960. The books events take place in 1880’s Alabama. I really liked the book and I understand why it’s important for people- especially young people like high-schoolers to read this book. The book gives good insight on why we still have problems with racism around us and how much worse it was back in the 19th and 20th century. It has a good mixture of educational and historical topics and humour. Although many things are told the reader through metaphors, the meaning of the metaphor is often explained, as the book is told through a kid’s point of view. I would recommend this book to high schoolers, as it explains important topics that are still an issue to this day and it may be an eye- opening book to some people.
Educating Rita In my opinion "Educating Rita" was a pretty good movie and I enjoyed watching it. I think that "Educating Rita" is an educational film. In my opinion the principle of the film, is to say that learning and knowing literature can be useful, you will get smarter and more educated. The movie also says that literature is really not as uninteresting as it seems and it can be quite gripping. At the beginning of the film Rita didn't knew about literature, she knew much less than average person, but at the end, she was so fond of literature and she knew much more than average person and she was more educated than ever. Literature

Art predating World War II is exhibited on the third floor; the fourth floor houses an exhibition of works from the period of Soviet occupation. On Kumu's fifth floor, there are exhibitions of contemporary art from Estonia and abroad. It is Kumu's ambition to constantly participate in the Estonian and international art worlds, to which a contribution is made by the 250 seat auditorium, with its film programme, performances, concerts, seminars and conferences, the educational centre, with programmes and courses directed at various age groups, and the library, with the widest selection of art literature in Estonia. Kumu's role is to be both an educational and entertainment centre, a booster of art and artistic life, a place for reflection that carries a message of stability, a place that creates and provides experiences, and a creator and interpreter of meanings. What would i change if i were minister of education. Many people think that our school system is out of date and we should make it more modern. Even teachers and students say that some changes need to be made. Maybe our government should consultate more with poeple who know the real situtation, when they create new laws. If I were minister of education I would deffenetly prefere American educational system to Russian. Our children should do more practical exercises in school and develop creative thinking. In addition to that I would give more money to our schools and raise also teatchers salary. This would boost up their motivation to give quality education to our children. Also i would invite more exchange students into our schools and send our children more often to learn in foreign countrys. The last thing I would change is the amount of the final exams. I
Firstly, I would improve school catering. I would make school food free for all students because at the moment it is quite expensive. Because of that some students can not afford to eat at school but schooldays are long and it is unhealthy to go all day without eating. School buffet's offer unhealthy chips and pies but very little healthy vegetables and fruits so I would make buffets healthier. Secondly, I believe that it would make classes more effective to watch different educational movies. Doing the same thing from day to day is simply boring and some variety would surely increase students' interest in class. The third thing I would do to spice up life at school is organizing more fieldtrips. There are many different cultural and historical exhibits and museums kids may never visit unless they skip classes to do so. To sum up, I would say that although the Minister of Education could change a lot, our school life today is pretty good.
Secondly, we should pay more attention to rural schools. There are a lot of schools which would be needed to renovate. It should be a lot of money to invest. We should not focus only on the city schools. Finally, as far as I know from year to year decrease in the number of high school graduates. And this is a great loss for our education. Because we need more and more people to teach at the University of engineers and IT professionals. In conclusion, educational needs of our increasingly well-educated people. This is our future. High School education should be more valued. But most students are going to learn a vocational school. But all this can be changed.

Cities of Estonia The capital of Estonia is Tallinn, most famous for its Old Town. The Old Town was built in the 13.-16th centuries. You can still feel the spirit of medieval times, when you are visiting The Old Town. The second biggest city of Estonia is Tartu. Tartu is the educational centre of Estonia. It is home to the largest and oldest university in Estonia, the University of Tartu. The University of Tartu first opened it`s doors in 1632. Through Tartu flows the second biggest river in Estonia, Suur Emajõgi ( Big Mother River). Pärnu is the summer capital of Estonia. It is located in south west Estonia on the coast of Pärnu bay. Pärnu is popular with the tourists for its spas and beautiful beaches. Otepää is known as the winter capital of Estonia
that. Meeting new people, partying till the dawn and comparing each other tans is really fun and relaxing. I find these vacations very memorable because they are so different from the Estonian summers. But travelling is not only for party people, it is also for those who love to discover the foreign world, take pictures of exciting sightseeings while also enjoying it. People who like this kind of travelling are usually adults and elders who want something educational instead of fun. Meeting new countries give them the opportunity to understand different cultures better. It does not matter if you are more like the jet-setter or the culture hobbyist, the main thing is to spend your trip carefree without having any worries. Take unforgettable and amazing memories with you from every travelling experience. And hey, the weather seems cold last time to plan your holiday, don't you think?
In England and Wales most school were established by private benefactors and operated as educational carities. Compulsory education was introduced in 1888. Maintained schools follow National Curriculum. National Curriculum core subjects are English, matematics and science. Foundation subjects are design and technology, history, music, art. Children in Englan begin with primary education and it may be divided into Infant and Junior school. After primary school they move secondary school. What you've done during the three weeks after Christmas holidays? Well, I've been to school for all those weeks. Last week we watched a really interesting film. The film was about secrets in our Universe. Gran Torino Gran Torino is an American drama film, which was completed in 2008 and was released on December 9th in California. It was directed and produced by Clint Eastwood, who also starred in it. The film tells a story about an old widowed former Ford factory worker Kowalski, who has a troubled relationship with his family members and who is angry at the world. It is quite interesting that Clint Eastwood wanted to star in a movie where he plays a racist character. He also said that it was his last film as an actor. The main issue in this film is gang violence on the streets involving different cultures and races. Grand Torino is not a typical American film at all; it even reminds me of a 1992 Australian film Romper Stomper which talks about the same problem- intolerance. The film also shows that if only people from different cultures want to live together in a friendly atmosphere and in harmon...
Effects: Excessive computer use may result in, or occur with: Lack of social interaction. Using the computer for pleasure, gratification, or relief from stress. Feeling irritable and out of control or depressed when not using it. Spending increasing amounts of time and money on hardware, software, magazines, and computer-related activities. Neglecting work, school, or family obligations. Lying about the amount of time spent on computer activities. Risking loss of career goals, educational objectives, and personal relationships. Failing at repeated efforts to control computer use. Never getting off the computer. A cause for many of the above-mentioned effects may be that computer games do not stimulate the release of neurotransmitters responsible for feelings of satisfaction and relaxation, such as oxytocin and endorphin, in the same way that real world activities do.
