Diabeetiline retinopaatia Diabeetiline retinopaatia .. on kõige enam levinud diabeetikute silmahaigus, mille käigus silmapõhja veresooned muutuvad. Veresooned võivad lekkida või täielikult sulguda. Selle tagajärjel kannatab aga nägemine. Diabeetiline retinopaatia kahjustab tavaliselt mõlemat silma. Areng on märkamatu ja varases staadiumis ei häiri see tavaliselt nägemist. Arenenud staadiumis aga põhjustab diabeetline retinopaatia taastumatuid nägemise kahjustusi, äärmisel juhul isegi pimedaks jäämist. Retinopaatiat jagatakse silmapõhja muutuste iseloomu järgi. Kas Eesti edasine majandusareng tugineb kiirel palgatõusul või tootlikkusel? Kumb majandusareng oleks Eestile kasulikum: kas kiire palgatõus või tootlikkuse kasv? Alljärgnevalt püüan ma sellele leida vastuseid. Eestlaste tootlikkus on väga madal. Parimaks näiteks siin on aasta 2005 kui jääktulu ühe töötaja kohta oli rõivatööstuses vaid 9000 krooni, keemiatööstuses aga 231 000 krooni. Vahe oli 25 korda keemiatööstuse kasuks, kuigi rõivatööstuses töötas üle kolme korra rohkem inimesi. Madala jääktuluga töötaja kohta on ka naha töötlemine ja nahktoodete tootmine; puidu töötlemine ja puittoodete tootmine; paberimassi, paberi ja pabertoodete toomine; kirjastamine; kummi- ja plasttoodete toomine; transpordivahendite tootmine ja transport. Alkohoolsetes jookides sisalduv alkohol on viinapiiritus ehk etanool (CH3CH2OH). Alkoholi saadakse pärmseente mõjul toimuva käärimise tulemusena taimsest toorainest, mis sisaldab suhkruid või tärklist.
