Natural zones and flora of Australia

Natural Zones and Flora. There are five distinguishable natural zones in Australia. In the very east there are wet forests (1.) that occupy the space between the Great Dividing Range and the eastern coast. Westward from the Great Dividing Range the wet forests give place to beautiful grasslands with some trees . These grasslands are called the savannas (2.). Farther west the trees disappear and the bushlands (3.) begin. The real desert (4.) occupies the centre of the Western Plateau. In the very southwest there are thin forests of evergreen trees (5.). Most of Australian trees are kinds of eucalyptus trees (or gum trees to Australians) and acacia ( wattle to Australians). Eucalyptus trees are found everywhere in Australia. There are many kinds of them and they greatly differ in size. One kind, the great mountain ash, can grow to 120 metres and it grows in the wet forests in the eastern part of the continent. These strong trees do not d...

Description of an animal

Koalas do not live in big groups, they rather prefer to be alone. Koalas consume eucalyptus leaves and bark from 12 different eucalyptus tree species. Koalas rests motionless for about 16 to 18 hours a day, sleeping most of that time. They can be aggressive towards each other, throwing a foreleg around their opponent and biting. Koalas have become endangered because their habitat is being destroyed. Besides having no living place, it has lost its source of food. As the Koala is an very fussy eater and almost only eats eucalyptus leaves, it has a limited supply of food choice. The Australian Koala Foundation is the main organisation dedicated to `'saving the koala''. Their mission is to provide the long-term conservation of koalas and their "home range", and to minimise current and future threats to koalas living in the wild.

Extended essay: To what extent does a plant-based diet lower the risk of coronary artery disease?

coronary artery disease was not found. One possible reason behind it could be that vegetarian women consumed an unhealthier diet compared to their non-vegetarian counterparts. Vegetarians, unlike vegans, do still consume some animal derived foods; mainly eggs and dairy products. Eggs, milk, cheese, cream, ghee and butter are widely present in vegetarian diets. It could be possible for a vegetarian to consume more saturated fat compared to a meat eater. To put this into perspective, one tablespoon of butter, which is 14.2 grams, contains 7 grams of saturated fat.15 In contrast, 100 grams of beef contains 6 grams of saturated fat.16 This makes butter much higher in saturated fat content, and high consumption of saturated fats has been linked to higher risk of developing coronary disease.17 The elimination of meat from ones diet may lead to higher consumption of products high in trans fats and/or saturated fats like butter and cheese, but

They are begging for this surprise to be cancelled, but it will not happen miracles are left on fairy-tale's pages. Chapter two begins with an enthralling discussion topic social environment. Unit one includes such scheming studies as personal development, character and appearance, descriptions (Lotus Eater a breath-taking cover for a mystical story) and body idioms. The first one is getting really popular nowadays almost every newspaper has a page devoted to personal psychology only; the internet holds numberless collections of articles and other literary sources towards the topic. Unit two is something really special since it teaches us the parts of speech. Every person has to make an important speech at least once in their lifetime. It can be a congratulation to a dear

Australia

Australia Australia is the smallest continent in the world. It is 7.6 million square kilometres big. It is often called the island continent because it is rather small for a continent and very big for an island. There are only five countries bigger than Australia in the World. There are five states in the mainland. Tasmania is also considered as a state so there are six states. The Northern Territory and Canberra are also independent but they are not states. Canberra is the capital of Australia and it is situated between Sydney and Melbourne because both of these cities wanted to be the capital. The population is about 19 million people and growing. New South Wales is the most populated state and Victoria is the most densely populated state. The national language is English. Punk rock kokkuvõte

Johnny Rottenile pakkus Ramones proovilepanekuks õlle pähe uriini. Asjaosaliste mäletamist mööda olla Rotten küll klaasi tühjaks joonud, kuid püsinud seejärel pikalt vait. Ramonesi 1976. aasta Londoni kontsert ja esimesed kohalikud punkbändid, nagu Sex Pistols ja The Clash said inspiratsiooniks paljudele Suurbritannia punk-ansamblitele. Enne aasta lõppu tekkis Inglismaal palju uusi punk-ansambleid, näiteks The Damned, The Vibrators, The Slits, X-Ray Spex, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Eater, The Subversives (hiljem UK Subs), The Adverts, London, Chelsea (hiljem Generation X), Subway Sect, Stinky Toys, Buzzcocks, Tom Robinson Band ja Eddie & the Hot Rods. Pungilainega läksid kaasa ka mitmed varem tegutsenud bändid, näiteks The Stranglers ja The Jam. . Ka Sex Pistols ei hiilanud oma mängutasemega, kuid nad tulid esile õigel ajal: siis, kui oli tekkinud nõudlus selle muusika järele. Juba mõnda aega edetabelites võimutsenud lihvitud ja taltsas

from the front lines. They have spent the last two weeks at the front in constant battle. Out of a company originally comprised of 150 men, only eighty returned after a heavy attack on the last day. Paul describes his fellow soldiers: he, Leer, Müller, and Kropp are all nineteen years old. They are from the same class in school, and each enlisted in the army voluntarily. Tjaden, a locksmith, is a voracious eater but remains thin as a rail, making Paul wonder where all the food goes to on his skinny frame. Haie Westhus, also nineteen, is a peat-digger with a body as large and powerful as Tjaden's is thin. Detering is a peasant with a wife at home. Katczinsky, the unofficial leader of Paul's small group of comrades, is a cunning older man of about forty years. After a sound night's sleep, the men line up for breakfast. The cook has unwittingly made enough food for 150 men

The 4-Hour Body - An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-Loss, Incredible Sex, and Becoming Superhuman - Timothy Ferriss

I was now watching Neil take 45 minutes to eat a small seafood entree at the Hawaiian-themed Paradise Cove restaurant. His fork would pause a few inches in front of his mouth as thoughts occurred to him, and there it would remain for minutes at a time. It drove me nuts. This glacial pace was apparently a vast improvement. To prove this, he had e-mailed me an excerpt of an interview he did with Julian Casablancas of the rock band The Strokes: Julian: You're a very slow eater. You have had a ham sandwich in your hand for like 45 minutes. Neil: That's true. I know. Julian: You just have a little bite. I don't know if you're just chewing it, or does the food dissolve in your mouth? Given no choice, I resorted to feeding Neil spoonfuls of brown rice in between sentences. Neighboring tables looked on in confusion. The enormous colorful umbrellas sticking out of our coconut-shell "Cocoladas" made the scene even more questionable
