When a world loses a language it loses a unique treasure

Our ancestors use to dance and sing at parties. There were certain dances, for example kaera-jaan, and games, such as ''Me lähme rukkist lõikama''. In which people run around in pairs in circle and in certain place of the song, they start looking for another partner. And one will be left inside the circle without a partner. We played it in kindergarten. It was our tradition at every party. In my family we had a custom before the meal. We all held eachothers hands and we said: ''Õnnistatud söögiaega ja head isu!'' Also, I don't know if other cultures wish you luck with the work, but usually when estonians see another man working, they say: '' Jõudu tööle!'' and the worker answers: ''Jõudu tarvis!'' And a lot of lullabies haven't been written down. My mother use to sing to me: '' Maga-maga, minu väike, ammu looja läinud päike.
