Green Day - Holiday sõnad ing. keeles.

Say, hey! Hear the sound of the falling rain Coming down like an Armageddon flame (Hey!) The shame The ones who died without a name Hear the dogs howling out of key To a hymn called "Faith and Misery" (Hey!) And bleed, the company lost the war today I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies This is the dawning of the rest of our lives On holiday Hear the drum pounding out of time Another protester has crossed the line (Hey!) To find, the money's on the other side Can I get another Amen? (Amen!) There's a flag wrapped around a score of men (Hey!) A gag, a plastic bag on a monument I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies This is the dawning of the rest of our lives On holiday (Hey!) (Say, hey!)

climate all year long. Tropical deciduous forest has a well defined dry and a wet season. During the dry season, the trees in tropical deciduous forest lose their leaves. 4. Using the climate diagram describe the climate of the region (tropical rainforest/tropical deciduous forest). 5. Why are tropical rainforest soils not fertile? Because rapid bacterial decay prevents the accumulation of humus. 6. How do the soils in tropical deciduous forest differ from the soils in tropical rainforest? The soil in tdf has more nutrients, because the leaves fall down and trees grow more sparsely. 7. Describe the layers of tropical rainforest. Emergents forest giants, the trees there are 50m or more. Canopy a dence layer, the trees there are 20-30m. There can be found many hardwoods, such as mahagony. Kraanivee kareduse määramine tiitrimise teel

It is important to end the titration process precisely (one drop precision) when the red color stays unchanged when adding the last drop. Read from the burette the consumed volume of hydrochloric acid for titration with a 0.05 cm3 precision. 4. Wash the conical flask carefully with distilled water and repeat the titration with a new aliquote of water. Repeat the titration process until the consumed amounts of at least three readings of HCl volume do not differ more than 0.10...0.15 cm3. 5. Put the data obtained from titration into the table and calculate the average volume of HCl solution used (cm 3). B Determination of total hardness 1. Pipette 100 cm3 of the test water into a conical flask which has been washed with distilled water, add ~5 cm 3 of buffer solution (measure it with a 25 cm 3 measuring cylinder), add a pinch (~0,1 g) of the indicator ET-00. The color of solution will change to purple. 2

Estonian Language

German ang English. Very few of Estonian words are originally Estonian. For example, suu (mouth), vesi (water) and ema (mother). One thing that features Estonian is that unlike any other language, Estonian has three degrees of phoneme lenght: short, long and overlong. Pronouncing the phoneme differently can change the meaning of the word. There are many different dialects in Estonian language. The dialects are divided into two groups: southern and northern dialects. They differ from each other so much that it is very difficult for a northern dialect speaker to fully understand southern dialect speaker. Estonian is a very complicated language and there is (I think) no reason for a foreigner to learn it. When somebody moves to Estonia, it is easier to communicate in Engilsh. As result, Estonian could die out.

It is said that advertising is legalized lying

misleading information which advertisers can get away with. The art of the sale is not in lying, but it is manipulating with the truth to make it sound like you actually need a product you don't. A lot of the statements that advertisers make are not literally true, but even not they are expecting that every person is believeing everything that is advertised. In the modern competitive market, there are so many products from so many companies which do not differ very much, therefore advertising companies have to be creative to present the advertised product in a good way.

Sotsioloogia essee: Hechter ja Horne

Emile Durkheim (Durkheim, 1912) tries to explain meaning by describing the importance of religion in social interactions, and by portraying the similarities between social interaction and religion. Society never stops creating sacred things. Durkheim (Durkheim, 1912) elaborates, that "when a belief is shared by all people, to deny or question it is forbidden." He brings an example of the right to free speech even if individuals' opinions differ gravely, in a civilized communication they will still respect the principle of free discussion. Durkheim assures that "we defer to society's orders not simply because it is equipped to overcome our resistance but, first and foremost, because it is the object of genuine respect". Thus, commonly generated meaning compels people to maintain social order because it in itself carries meaning for all the individuals in the society.

It´s a student´s life

In the student's defence I have to mention that, we are growing individuals, who develop to be the best contribution and enrichment to our country. So I think it is wrong to judge the book by it's covers. Secondly, it surely is not true that today´s students are lazy and unproductive individuals who do nothing but sit around all day. I know for a fact that a high percentage of students are active in school and after school events and activities. There are some exceptions, who differ form those students. Finally, it is ignorant of you to say that students do not suffer from stress. School is very stressful, specially for a growing and evolving person. Stress is not just for grownups. Students have to deal with it also. In conclusion, I found your article to be inaccurate in its assessment on students life. Since magazine claims that the stories come from real life I hope that future issues will be more objective. Yours sincerely NAME

Do you consider yourself more functionalist or more conflict theorist?

sides which society has on people. Secondly, I agree that society will always be in conflict because of fighting for limited resources and their rights. I think it is in our human nature to get the best for oneself and therefore in many areas, competition is inevitable. Functionalists act like all parts in society are equal and there is little talk about individualism, which might explain, why they ignore conflict between different groups. People differ from each other financially, mentally and physically and they all want best for themselves which in my opinion leads to competing. For example, human behaviour in functionalism is shown as being shaped by the social system but in spite of most people being socialised into traditional gender norms, people develop other identities and keep up the levels of criminality, even though they are taught to obey the law.

To Protect or not Protect Minor Languages

As we know the world is globalising and the closest thing to a global language is English. Most of the internet and technology is in English, also lots of trading and business deals are written in English. Interesting is, that even in Estonia knowing and speaking English has come an expectation not a skill in the younger society, because in many jobs there is required to know a certain amount of English. In my opinion minor languages are the things that make small countries differ from other countries and that is something that people can be proud of. That is a major thing that brings nations closer together and makes people friendlier to each other. It is always nice to see Estonian speakers in foreign countries. It makes you feel safe and secure, when you know that in case of emergency, the people that speak the same language stick together, because that is an instinct of survival for the mankind and if we changed that we might

Different cultures

different, and translation has to be used to communicate, the potential for misunderstandings increases. Second are "behavior constraints." Each culture has its own rules about proper behavior which affect verbal and nonverbal communication. Whether one looks the other person in the eye-or not; whether one says what one means overtly or talks around the issue; how close the people stand to each other when they are talking--all of these and many more are rules of politeness which differ from culture to culture. Third factor is "emotional constraints." Different cultures regulate the display of emotion differently. Some cultures get very emotional when they are debating an issue. They yell, they cry, they exhibit their anger, fear, frustration, and other feelings openly. Other cultures try to keep their emotions hidden, exhibiting or sharing only the "rational" or factual aspects of the situation. All of these differences tend to lead to communication problems. Why does Marx elevate proletariat? Do you see Wright doing the same? What do you think why?

carry out against them and finally free the society from class differentiaton. Secondly, in my opinion, Erik Olin Wright definitely did not think the same. While reading Wright’s thougths and understanding a bit more of his point of view, I could almost believe, that Karl Marx saw the world through his own perfection. Seemed to me, that Wright thought about other parties and societies as well and saw the whole thing from a much bigger perspective, which ultimately, makes him differ from Karl Marx. Wright also saw difference from the obedience relationship between classes, he distinguished domination and exploiting rather than just upper and lower class, which have very concrete aspects that define them. In my opinion, Wright did not think the same because he did see the society in a much larger context and bigger picture, whereas the middle class was dealing with life instead of revolutionizing, which inevitably causes inequality. Speculation about Shakespeare

[176] Religion Main article: Shakespeare's religion Some scholars claim that members of Shakespeare's family were Catholics, at a time when Catholic practice was against the law.[177] Shakespeare's mother, Mary Arden, certainly came from a pious Catholic family. The strongest evidence might be a Catholic statement of faith signed by John Shakespeare, found in 1757 in the rafters of his former house in Henley Street. The document is now lost, however, and scholars differ as to its authenticity.[178] In 1591 the authorities reported that John Shakespeare had missed church "for fear of process for debt", a common Catholic excuse.[179] In 1606 the name of William's daughter Susanna appears on a list of those who failed to attend Easter communion in Stratford.[179] Scholars find evidence both for and against Shakespeare's Catholicism in his plays, but the truth may be impossible to prove either way.[180] Sexuality Main article: Sexuality of William Shakespeare

of the places. Finally, they discovered that she had a twin sister. I chose this book because I had not heard about these two before. At first I thought that it cannot be as good as Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot stories but it is. I think I like it even more than the other stories by Agatha Christie I have read because the characters are very lively and humorous. The book consists of many mysteries. They all differ from each other a little bit and that is fun to read. There are not only murders but they also discovered a gang of counterfeiters, a gang of drug smugglers, a jewel robbery etc. They are all solved with cleverness and a bit of luck. It is called Partners in Crime because they always help each other. When one does not come with a solution then the other one does. All in all it is a great Agatha Christie novel. I would recommend it to everyone who likes good an thrilling detective stories.

Renaissance

This realization led eventually to many discoveries geographical, religious, and scientific, as well as artistic and philosophical. Both the Age of Discovery and the Protestant Reformation had their origins in the Renaissance spirit. Renaissance belief: life in this world was not merely a preparation for the next world but that, on the contrary and active life in this world had value in itself. 5. How did the Renaissance in England differ from the Renaissance in Europe? Why? The phenomenon of the Renaissance touched England lightly and fleetingly during the time of Chaucer. As far as England was concerned, however, this first contact was negligible largely because external wars and internal strife ravaged the country for almost a century and a half (1337-1485) The Renaissance in England may be divided into 3 parts: the rise of the R. under early Tudor monarchs, the height of R

Millennials and Technology

didn't take your phone out to 'google' it? Now think about how many times you've tried to figure out the answer yourself. Sure, both ways may have plenty of attempts but which has succeeded the most the artificial or the real brain? The answer is quite simple, isn't it! Technology has so much to do with today's knowledge. You probably wouldn't know half the things you know now if it weren't for the Internet. Looking at it like that, millennials don't really differ from robots all that much. Some are even more advanced that any of us! Both of us use technology every single day to recieve and process information. Both of us move fast and socialize through the Internet. Everything we get from a robot, such as a phone or a computer, we analyze and memorize for future purposes. In conclusion, you are your smartphone and all its apps. There's even a little bit of Flappy Bird still flying around inside you.

Learn From Mistakes, Improve Your Intelligence

Learn From Mistakes, Improve Your Intelligence We are humans. In society it's perfectly acceptable that in one way or another we've failed and will fiddle up again. Everyone does, but we, the people must let go of the past and seek for a better future, to learn, to differ the wrong form the right. Now why do we bollocks up in the first place? The answer lies in you, yourself have to find out why did you fail and what can be learned from it. Frequent failing can cause sadness, depression and lack of motivation but it's not the way to go if you want to succeed in life and become a better you. It's better to understand your mistakes and learn from them to expand your knowledge rather to get everything right and stay on elementary level of problem solving.

Hoiatus! Diferentsiaalide lukustamisega tasub siiski olla ettevaatlik. Loo alguses kirjeldatud põhjustel on difrid vajalikud pööramiseks. Mida enam neist on blokeeritud, seda raskem on pöörata.

Modern Hero

During the beginning of their relationship or the time when they learn to know each other the woman is kidnapped and held hostage and the plot of the story is usually about saving her. The happy ending also includes a final kiss and thought that they'll grow old together. The interesting thing is that the love interest and the hero don't have to get along at the beginning but they'll learn to like each other. There are more heroes than we could ever count. The old ones differ from the modern ones and even though every one of them is unique and special they all carry the same title- hero. It unites them and gives them all the meaning of hope. It doesn't really matter whether an old hero or a modern hero- in the end they all do good.

Lacrosse Lehesalu

Box lacrosse Box lacrosse is played by teams of six on a hockey rink where the ice has been removed or covered by artificial turf. The enclosed playing area is called a box, in contrast to the open playing field of the traditional game. This version of the game was introduced in the 1930s to promote business for hockey arenas, and within several years had nearly supplanted field lacrosse in Canada. Women's lacrosse The rules of women's lacrosse differ significantly from men's lacrosse, most notably by equipment and the degree of allowable physical contact. Women's lacrosse does not promote physical contact primarily because the only protective equipment worn for this sport is a mouth guard and face guard and sometimes thin gloves. Stick checking (if the head of the stick is below the shoulder only), and not body checking as in men's lacrosse, is permitted in women's lacrosse. Although sometimes checking can lead to body checking.

Hence, where the Geneva Bible might use a common English word--the Authorized Version tends rather to prefer a technical term, frequently in Anglicised Latin. While the Authorized Version remains among the most widely sold, modern critical New Testament translations differ substantially from it in a number of passages. Also it is one of the most stolen book(mostly because of sheer volume, it seems cool or thrilling) 6.Online version There is online version of King James Bible It includes the 1769 Oxford 'Authorized edition' of the King James Bible and the original 1611 King James Bible. How to survive in Estonia. Guide for foreigner

the fact that the percentage of dissatisfied respondents is higher than the percentage of people who satisfied of their life. The second group of people are more positive. They like to live in Estonia. However, this people is too agreeable that "It is necessary to work and be able to survive." However, still there is a tendency in politics and dissatisfaction with the political situation in the country. Each is based on our personal experience and what he sees around him. Opinions differ, but is confident that most will converge in one- it is not easy to live in Estonia and you cannot live only by subsidy. You've got to be able to adapt and be competitive, in other words, "must be able to Survive." So how to adapt and survive in Estonia? Of course many things depends on the mood of the original. Immediately after the moving in other country, happen meeting expectations and reality-and here problems begin, because it is naive to think that they coincide.

Rational Use of Diagnostic Tests

differentials.[7] However, it must be confirmed that this is the case, particularly when results from a particular test do not accord with expectations or with a patient's clinical presentation. Put a different way, precision can be thought of as the standard deviation, or how tightly data points cluster around a mean. To achieve valid results, tests must be both accurate and precise. Positive and Negative Predictive Values Predictive values differ from sensitivity and specificity in that they take into account the prevalence of disease in the test population. They help answer the clinically relevant question that, given a positive test result, what is the probability that a patient actually has a given disease? First, prevalence is defined as the number of patients within a population that have a particular disease at a specific time, or the probability that a patient in a given population is afflicted with a specific disease

rubber tube at the bottom of the burette. Do this until the colour of the solution turns red with the adding of one drop. Then the acid is neutralized. 4. Read the level of the base in the burette with a 0.05 cm 3 accuracy. This reading will show the amount of base needed to neutralize the acid solution in cm3. Repeat the experiment until the volumes of NaOH needed do not differ more than 0.1 cm3 (at least 3 times). Find the arithmetic average from these results. Calculation 1) Calculate the molar concentration (equation 2.2) of HCl through the amount of NaOH solution needed for titration. Figure 2.2 B. Water Purification

Water Purification What is water purification? Water purification generally means freeing water from any kind of impurity it contains, such as contaminants or micro organisms. Water purification is not a very one-sided process; the purification process contains many steps. The steps that need to be progressed depend on the kind of impurities that are found in the water. This can differ very much for different types of water. In which ways is polluted water treated? Settling Before the purification process begins some contaminants, such as oil, can be settled in a settling tank. They can then be removed easily, after they have reached the bottom of the tank. Removal of dangerous microorganisms Often polluted water has to be freed from microorganisms. The water is than disinfected, usually by means of chlorination. Removal of dissolved solids

A doll house

masquerade ball, like dressing a doll. During the first act, Nora seems to have little substance to her character as she does exactly what she is told, even when Torvald tells her not to eat macaroons. Nora follows her husbands orders out of fear of running her "beautiful happy home" (1113) and disrupting life "the way Torvald likes it" (1114). In contrast, during the third act Nora's resemblance to a doll begins to differ as she realizes the true, selfish intentions of her husband. Throughout the play Torvald claims he will protect Nora from whatever comes their way, yet at the moment he discovers her debt to Krogstad he has no intention of taking the blame and hurting his own image "to the outside world"(1147). He instead calls Nora "a hypocrite, a liar" (1147) and "a criminal" (1147), instead of defending her. Nora has the realization that her

Improved Windows for Cold Climates

houses. A large part of the energy consumption in countries in Nordic and Arctic climates is used for space heating in buildings. In typical buildings the windows are responsible for a considerable part of the heat losses. Therefore there is a large potential for energy savings by developing and using windows with improved energy performance. Traditionally evaluation of the energy performance of windows has focussed on the thermal transmittance, but as windows differ from the rest of the building envelope by allowing solar energy to enter the building, the total solar energy transmittance is equally important. In the heating season in cold climates the solar gain through windows can be utilized for space heating which results in a corresponding reduction in the energy production that is often based on fossil fuels. A suitable quantity for evaluating the energy perform-ance of windows in

Monologue and photos

The picture is taken somewhere outside as the man is wearing a coat.  In picture 2 I can see numerous students sitting their exam in a big hall.  The photos are connected with the topic of university  There are a few similarities between these two pictures. First, they both show young people making an effort. Second, picture 1 as well as picture 2 tell us about typical aspects of student life.  However, the pictures clearly differ from each other in several aspects. To start with, while the young man in p1 is obviously relaxing after winning a competition, the students in p2 are in the middle of writing their papers. Moreover, all people in picture 1 look over the moon, but people in picture 2 look rather preoccupied with their work.  It could be the young man in p1 is the leader of the team or he has succeeded in some sort of individual field. Anyway, judging by his

Cost Accounting notes

Production volume var = budgeted FOH - FOH allocated for actual output units produced. Chapter 11 - Relevant costs Managers usually follow a decision model for choosing among different courses of action. A decision model is a formal method of making a choice, and it often involves both quantitative and qualitative analyses. Five-step decision-making process to make decisions (Ch1). Relevant costs are expected future costs and relevant revenues are expected future revenues that differ among the alternative courses of action being considered. Past costs are called sunk costs, because they are unavoidable and cannot be changed no matter what action is taken. Quantitative factors are outcomes that are measured in numerical terms, qualitative factors are outcomes that are difficult to measure accurately in numerical terms.

Kiusamine

" It is not the minor behaviour problems that are a part of growing up, such as horseplay, occasional good-natured teasing or even the odd physical scrap between children of equal strength. The most common form is name-calling. Children call others names for many reasons: because the other child is short or fat, is of a different skin colour, or has a lisp, a stutter or a physical disability. Maybe he is a slow learner or wears clothes that differ from the run of the mill. Victims are often smaller or weaker than average, or shy and insecure. Boys bully more than girls, and the tormenting is more often physical. Debra J. Pepler of the LaMarsh Centre for Research on Violence and Conflict Resolution at York University has reported that 23 percent of boys surveyed said they had engaged in bullying, compared to only eight percent of girls. Among victims, however, both genders were equally affected. With girls, bullying often takes

German Sauerbraten: Traditionally made with a beef roasting joint (topside or similar) the meat is marinated for 2-3 days in beer, spices such as cloves, juniper berries, allspice and peppercorns, bay leaves and onions and is braised in the marinade for a long period, resulting in very tender melt-in-the-mouth meat. The Black Forest: cake is one of the most popular German national foods. Cake consists of several layers of chocolate cake, with whipped cream and cherries between each layer. Then the cake is decorated with additional whipped cream and chocolate shavings. A Schnitzel in German is a slice of pork or veal haunch. Dish made with boneless meat thinned with a mallet (escalope-style preparation), coated in bread crumbs and fried. Only if it is made of veal and coated in bread crumbs is it called Wiener Schnitzel; a pork version is called Schnitzel Wiener Art (Viennese type schnitzel). Some date it to the Exodus from Egypt circa 1490 BCE. Others say that no Exodus happened. On the basis of archeological evidence, many believe that the ancient Hebrews were originally a group of Canaanites who gradually separated from the main body and eventually developed a separate culture. That would certainly explain why so many Jewish holy days were derived from the Pagan Canaanite culture.  Note 4: Sources differ greatly. A sampling of the Internet on 2015- DEC-02 showed estimates from to 12 to 173 million: o According to a statistical overview in 2011 of religions in China: "The number of Taoists is difficult to estimate, due to a variety of factors including defining Taoism. According to a survey of religion in China in the year 2010, the number of people practicing some form of Chinese folk religion is near to
