WBS WBS on akronüüm inglisekeelsetest sõnadest Work Breakdown Structure (töö ligendus). See on projekti saavutustele (deliverable) orienteeritud projekti osade grupeerimise meetod. Projekti planeeritav tulemus jagatakse väiksemateks, paremini käsitletavateks komponentideks. Liigenduse eesmärk on: 1. hinnata täpsemalt projekti maksumust, kestust ja ressursivajadust; 2. luua alus, mille põhjal võrrelda hinnangute täpsustumist ja projekti edenemist; 3. saada ülevaade vastutuspiiridest. Tulemus võib olla esitatud mitmetasemelise loeteluna või graafilise skeemina. Joonis 1

Software performing the task of descriptive geometry translates three-dimensional numerically-defined models into two- dimensional fabrication data that accurately cuts components, pre-drills holes for fixings and service penetrations. While producing more sophisticated steelwork, the skilled labor content is being reduced overall and focused increasingly upon the final assembly of CNC milled components (LeCuyer, 2003). The 3D steel detailing model is becoming a deliverable to fabricators and erectors. Not only is it easier for the detailer to visualize the complex geometry and connections of today’s projects via a 3D model, it is also beneficial for shop production, project managers, and field superintendents. With BIM, 2D drawings are just one portion of the deliverable. CNC-driven machinery is becoming more powerful and affordable, and feeding these machines with accurate fabrication information as early as possible in the
Very often business processes are not easy to grasp, but by visualizing and documenting the current state of the processes, it helps all the parties involved to work on the same page and to optimize the processes. This is a tool that can and should be used during all the different stages of a construction project. In general, the workflow for developing a general understanding is as follows (Thomson, Darrington, Dunne and Lichtig 2009): 1. Identify the target product (deliverable), product family or service. 2. Draw a current state value stream map, which shows the current steps, delays and information flows required to deliver the target product or service. This may be a production flow (raw materials to the consumer) or a design flow (concept to launch). 3. Assess the current state value stream map in terms of creating flow by eliminating waste. 4. Draw a future state value stream map. 5. Implement the future state. 6
