The Royal Family
Monarchy is the oldest form of goverment in the United
Kingdom.Monarchs always inherit their titles and are
rulers for life.Monarchs don`t rule the political life of the
country,but still plays an inportant part in the life of the
nation.Queen Elizabeth`s offical title is „Elizabeth the
second,by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of
Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Her other
Realms and Territories Queen,Head of the Common-
wealth,Defenderof the Faith“.She became Queen in
1952 when her father King George VI,died.Queen
Elizabeth is a beloved ruler who leads her nation by
example.She visited Estonia in 2006.Queen Elizabeth
has four children:Prince Charles,Printsess Anne,Prince
Andrew and Prince Edward.Family members of the
monarch are known as The Royal Family.Prince Charles
is called Heir apparent to the throne.Prince Charles has
