How to deal with water shortage problems?

How to deal with water shortage problems? Water covers more than 70% of the Earth's surface and it is the most valuable resource in the world. We need water to live on this planet otherwise life on Earth wouldn't be possible. Many countries suffer from water shortages. There is no fresh water for people usage. It's actually a major problem in the world but what can we do to decrease this? Firstly, people need to realise that there are many other people in the world who does not have accessibility to water. We can decrease it by not wasting water on pointless things for example long showers and watering flowers outside the house. By doing this we will economize water and it may be possible for other people to use fresh water as well. Secondly, it is really important to keep the water fresh and clean but many factories let their

Environmental problems in Estonia

Good afternoon, i talk about environmental problems in Estonia. plakatile ei kirjuta :D Main environmental problems in estonia: · Oil shale mining and burning · Excessive tree felling · Air pollution · Eutrophication Oil shale mining and burning. Estonia environmental problems are mostly caused by oil shale mining and burning. About 30 000 Hectare ground is unusable. We have a large ash mountains thanks to burning of oil shale. To reduce pollution we need to decrease mining of oil shale and shale-based electricity producing. Air pollution the biggest air pollution is in large cities. It´s caused by big factories, a lot cars and deficient environment ordinance. To decrease air pollution we need to use less cars and more public transport. Eutrophication It means water enrichment of nutrient. In eutrophic water there is less oxygen and water quality low. There are some things to improve it: · To disable phosphate use in detergents

Law of Diminishing Returns

What is the law of diminishing returns? Why this proposition is called a "law"? It states that, at some point- when we add more variable input to a fixed input- our marginal product will start to decrease as the newly added variable input is being added to an already increasingly scares input. This can be explained by citing an example, if we add more workers to a job, such as assembling a car. At some point, adding more workers would cause problems, as they would be getting in each other's way, or workers wold often find themselves waiting for access to specific part or tool required for the job. This proposition is called a law because it is

POKUMAA, report

In the forests near Poku there is comparatively rich in wildlife. The only problem seems to be cutting trees which may leave the local animals without their usual habitat. Recycling Recycling of paper and glass is very well organised in the area of Poku. More problematic seems to be recycling of plastic and chemicals as there are no special containers for that kind of waste. Conclusion and recommendations Poku is a good place many families with children visit and enjoy their time there. To decrease the air pollution cars should be banned from Poku. New litter bins and containers for recycling plastic and chemicals should be placed in the location. To avoid the decrease of local wildlife cutting tees should be forbidden.

Fiscal Policy

counterbalance the fall in C, I, G, or X so that the unemployment does not result. The tools the government would use are 1) Increasing G, or 2) lowering taxes (on households) and thus increasing C, or 3) some combination of the two. Expansionary Fiscal Policy The goal of expansionary fiscal policy is to reduce unemployment. Therefore the tools would be an increase in government spending and/or a decrease in taxes. This would shift the AD curve to the right increasing real GDP and decreasing unemployment, but it may also cause some inflation. Contractionary Fiscal Policy The goal of contractionary fiscal policy is to reduce inflation. Therefore the tools would be an decrease in government spending and/or an increase in taxes. This would shift the AD curve to the left decreasing inflation, but it may also cause some unemployment.

positions. 2.2 When a reference move is required? After powering up a step drive or when slippage (loss of steps) has occured. 2.3 What dictates the maximal speed of the step drive? The maximal speed of the step drive is determined by its electrical and mechanical parameters, as specifified by the manufacturer. One consideration for selecting the speed limit is the service life of the ball bearings for the motor. 2.4 What should be done to decrease slippage? To decrease slippage, hard acceleration and overloading the motor should be avoided. 2.5 Calculate the drive resolution in the full-step mode According to the lab guide: ,,The distance the slide moves per mm positioning path (drive resolution) is equal to the ratio between the number of steps per revolution and the feed constant given in electrical and mechanical datasheet. ,, Using the datasheet values, the drive resolution in full-step mode is: 52/200= 0,26 mm/step.

When a good is a "normal" good, there is a positive relationship between the change in income and change in demand: · An increase in income will increase (shift the demand to the right) demand. · A decrease in income will decrease (shift the demand to the left) demand. Law of demand · Theory and empirical evidence suggest that the relationship between Price and Quantity is an inverse or negative relationship · At higher prices, quantity purchased is smaller, or at lower prices the quantity purchased is greater. If I were the minister of education

I will lose the national tests to make the schools themselves and instead of school examinations. It increases the benefit of the examinations passed. What is very positive. Also, it would make life easier for students. Secondly, we should pay more attention to rural schools. There are a lot of schools which would be needed to renovate. It should be a lot of money to invest. We should not focus only on the city schools. Finally, as far as I know from year to year decrease in the number of high school graduates. And this is a great loss for our education. Because we need more and more people to teach at the University of engineers and IT professionals. In conclusion, educational needs of our increasingly well-educated people. This is our future. High School education should be more valued. But most students are going to learn a vocational school. But all this can be changed.

Should children be encouraged to do sports?

children to do sports? Firstly, doing sports is important for our health and if children do not do sports it may cause health conditions when they get older for example overweight. Choosing an exercise should be appropriated to the child's age and development. A good thing to do is to take the child for a walk, swimming pool or even to play a video game Wii. Secondly, sports makes children more active and playful, which develops their minds. Sports influence people mental health and it helps to decrease stress, anxiety and depression when you get older. All in all, I think it is important to encourage children to do sports but parents must not force their children into sports because it may make them feel negative about it. Tourism Advantages, Disadvantages

Tourism Tourism is becoming one of the most attractive sectors in many countries in the world. It developes very quikly because people travel a lot and companies invest much money in tourism. It has many benefits but also much can be said against the tourism. Firstly, the main advantage of tourism is that it gives people places to work. For instance hotels, bars and museums. Due to that, the standards of living increases and unemployment decrease. Secondly, many countries depend on the money whick tourism brings. It can help developing countries to become stabled. By attracting people from almost everywhere, the area can get much money in order to develop the other public services such as hospitals and schools. On the other hand, tourism may cause misunderstandings and problems because tourists do not always respect traditional cultures. They bring the bad influence to the community and affect local custom

Modern technology

creations that have really changed our lives are the computer, telephone, transport, internet and electronic media, television. The modern means of transportation allows people to move quickly from one place to another. The airplane is the most widely used means of transportation. The Internet has changed the way the people communicate to each other. With every passing day, more and more people use chat as a way to communicate. It is a way to meet new people, but it is also a way to decrease real relationships day after day. And The major disadvantage are machines and robots will replace people at work and majority of people will lose their jobs. In conclusion, as I have mentioned above, I can say that technology helping us and making our life more happier, easier, stronger, more convenient and make this world a better place to live. Speed cameras are not a good way to make our roads safer. Do you agree with this statement?

Speed cameras are not a good way to make our roads safer. Do you agree with this statement? The offical reason for installing cameras that monitor along the roads is that they will bring speed down and due to this many lives can be saved. Speed cameras probably decrease the average speed a bit at the spot where the camera is, but in my opinion they really make driving much more stressful and unsafe. First of all, in our country there are a lot of speed cameras on the roads. Mostly of them are on a straight roads, which even do not need a speed camera. As our country is pretty small, almost everybody driving daily knows exactly where are these speeding cameras. That makes no sense because they slow down before the camera and after it they speed up.

Arts related entertainment should be free

something boring, so if art exhibitions would be free, more people would visit them and learn to evaluate art. Also art educates people and enlarges their knowledge. But on the other hand, keeping and taking care of exhibitons have so many expenses like hiring skilled staff or paying electricity bills that it is impossible not to pay for visiting art galleries. In addition to that being a artist is a job like every another one too and needs to be paid. Finally, I think it it better to decrease the prices of art galleries to the lowest price so that anybody in society could afford it and enjoy arts. In this way more people would visit art exhibitions and educate themselves. In conclusion, in my opinion arts related entertainment should not be free, because all artists need to have an income and have to be paid. But visiting exhibitons should be as cheap as possible so more people would visit it and actually pay attention to art more than they do now.

Nothing can be done to prevent crime

Unfortunately, we are prone to make bad choices and reap undesirable outcomes. What in future can make more problem, what was. The difference is that most of us have some self-control, but in time of need human beings can change drastically their personality. That is why we can not prevent all crimes every time or build a perfect society: because we are still plain humans. But we can improve on an environment by providing a higher level of education and security. In doing so, there will be a decrease in the attempts of crimes, since a higher level of social development was properly provided. Our world is well known by having a high level of poverty and all sorts of crimes. This is a consequence of bad governments that hav not provided the least welfare throughout the centuries. So, i agree with that statement. However, in my opinion our goverment has been doing some progress regarding crime prevention and social development.

year during the decade. Since 1955 the Forestry Agency has monitored the annual number of seedlings by species planted on forestland excluding national forest. According to the data, the major species have been sugi (Cryptomeria japonica - Jaapani seedripuu) and hinoki (Chamaecyparis obtusa - Jaapani küpress), representing 63% in 1955 and 73% in 1993 and maintaining a rate of over 60% during this period. Hinoki tended to increase, whereas sugi tended to decrease. Both are coniferous species whose timber is sawn into housing materials. --------------------- Since 1868, when the Meiji restoration occurred and Japan established a decentralized market economy, the national goal for forests and forestry has been to build up the forest resource rapidly and satisfy the demand for forest products by utilizing domestic resources. In order to accomplish this, the central government has treated private forestry sympathetically through several policy instruments

For and against capital punishment

up a legal murder of a convict. Do people agree with killing a killer, which is nothing more than a publik murder itself? Death penalty is justified if one causes pain for many people. Pain is a strong feeling, something you will never forget if experienced. Haunting nightmeres from the depths from the worst memories will probably never leave from victims dreams. In that case a capital punishment is and should be the right thing to do, to make the others feel safe again. Death of a culprit may decrease the pain, but will never make it go away? It is always extremely hard to live with knowing that you or your close one is been misused or suffered form a crime. In this occasion death of a convict seems to be the best way to revenge for the sorrowness and pain that has been inflicted . In the other hand, many people cannot live with knowing that someone just died for the things one did, just becuse of a slight malformation, which had nothing to do with his free will. Now he is dead

Music therapy has existed in its common current form in the United States since around 1944. Live music was used in hospitals after both of the World Wars, as part of the regime for some recovering soldiers. Music has been shown to affect portions of the brain. Part of this therapy is the ability of music to affect emotions and social interactions. Music may reduce heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure in patients with coronary heart disease. Benefits included a decrease in blood pressure, heart rate, and levels of anxiety in heart patients. Listening to Mozart's piano sonata can reduce the number of seizures in people with epilepsy.

Climate Change: Climate is the long-term average of a region's weather events lumped together. For example, it's possible that a winter day in Buffalo, New York, could be sunny and mild, but the average weather the climate tells us that Buffalo's winters will mainly be cold and include snow and rain. Climate change represents a change in these long-term weather patterns. They can become warmer or colder. Annual amounts of rainfall or snowfall can increase or decrease. Global Warming: Global warming refers to an average increase in the Earth's temperature, which in turn causes changes in climate. A warmer Earth may lead to changes in rainfall patterns, a rise in sea level, and a wide range of impacts on plants, wildlife, and humans. When scientists talk about the issue of climate change, their concern is about global warming caused by human activities. The increasing infrastructure instability is an important issue in relation to

But puck puts a spell on Lysander to fall in love with Hermias best friend Helena. This love that was true and forever was somehow changed? How can that be they were so deeply in love. coast-line, which in return gives greater energy output and less visual/noise pollution. Beneficial to marine biota and fishing industry. The FWT is young and growing wind technology in the field of energy. Potential is great around the world, especially in places where there is deep water coast-lines, such as Norway, Portugal and the West coast of America (continent). Technology is currently expensive, but in the near future it will decrease. Benefits that come with it, definetely out weigh the current conventional offshore WT. Next ten years are essential for the outcome of this prominsing technology. Thank you for your attention

Reporti kirjutamine

In 1995-1996 there was a slight rise caused by the baby boom in 1988-1989. In 1996 the number was greatest, there were nearly 500 students. However, when the local dairy closed in 1997, many families moved elsewhere and the number went down considerably. In 1998 there were 450 students. To sum up, it can be said that the number of students in Simuvere Gymnasium has changed over the years. In the next years the number will probably continue to decrease gradually as the population of Simuvere grows older. As there is high unemployment, young families will not settle in Simuvere. burnt. The potential costs of cutting down on greenhouse gas emissions might sacrifice economic growth and our standard of living. By doing this we might need to change our habits and behavior. Furthermore we need to make investments in technology we need to adopt green building practices and buy clean cars. We all can do our part to help the planet by making small changing in our lifestyle. Simply turning off the lights every time you leave the room will dramatically decrease the amount of carbon dioxide produced. Using fluorescent light bulbs and properly inflated tires will also contribute to saving the planet. Global warming is a growing problem in our modern world. Changes will have to be made to stop its effects on the world. The human race caused this problem with over industrialization and it is about time we found a solution to it. Now there is one and we all have to participate if we want to preserve this planet for our future generations.

The control of forest insects: general considerations

Fourth level Fifth level Click to edit Master text styles Second level Third level Fourth level Fifth level FOOD SUPPLY Food supply Food material is an important factor in bringing about the increase or decrease of an insect species. Many forest insects are capable of attacking and feeding upon healthy trees. Other insects can only feed on deceased or damaged trees. Food Supply Mature Timber overmature, decadent and suppressed trees usually offer susceptile material for barkbeetle attack. Defoliated Trees trees that have stripped of their leaves by defoliating insects. Diseased Trees diseases that defoliate trees may render them susceptile to the attacks of cambiumfeeding insects.

Data Mining Hotel Data Analysis

E-mail: Supervisor: Innar Liiv TALLINN 2011 Findings: The hotel is business oriented, which is supported by the high percentage of business occupants, and the multitude of conventions held within the hotel. The statement is further supported by the fact that occupancy drops with the decrease of influx of business people. The occupancy drops significantly in the July and August which is probably due to the fact that businesses generally run slower in that part of the summer (due to plague of vacations) in the northern hemisphere on latitudes with explicit seasonal changes. Therefore, the hotel must be located on the part of the globe described. The occupancy by women seems to be somewhat statistically correlated with percentage of

finding at least one abnormal result. Interfering Factors External factors such as feeding schedule, sample processing, or medications can interfere with test results. A high-fat meal prior to evaluation of a serum chemistry analysis will alter values associated with lipid metabolism and cholesterol. Diuretics may affect sodium and potassium values. Cephalosporins may cause spurious serum creatinine levels. Corticosteroids and most all chemotherapy drugs severely decrease lymphocyte levels. Lipemia may decrease sodium levels, depending on the testing method used. Corticosteroids may increase alkaline phosphatase levels. If blood samples are not processed quickly after being drawn, glucose levels will often be artificially lowered. In general, if test results do not correlate with clinical findings or expected results, the veterinarian should view the results with suspicion and consider repeating them for confirmation. Monopoly paper / DeBeers monopol

De Beers executives are at last free to visit and work directly in the largest diamond market, America. (Johannesburg. Windhoek 2004) DeBeers agreed to pay fine, but they was not certify that they are guilty. For conclusion of this case they were still winners, because the fine was not fateful to them and they were legally back again in American market, which is world's largest diamond market as we see on Table 2. Also the EU went to court with DeBeers to decrease their monopolistic position in Europe. In February 2006 European Commission decided that: World No. 1 diamond producer De Beers settled a monopoly abuse case with the European Commission by agreeing not to buy rough diamonds from Russian diamond miner Alrosa from 2009. The Commission said this would make more diamonds available in the market. (Miningmx 2009) With this sort moves they will decrease DeBeers monopoly and hope to get diamonds prices not so high.

Short and long term effects of alcohol

developing alcoholism, cardiovascular disease, liver disease, and cancer. Damage to the central and peripheral nervous system is a result of sustained alcohol consumption. On the other hand research has found a correlation between light consumption in other words- one or two alcoholic beverages per day- and reduced risk of heart disease as well as reduction in all-cause mortality. However, some recent studies found that moderate consumption of alcohol did not decrease heart disease and that the positive effects may be due to methodological flaws in research studies. Despite the small number of benefits of alcohol they are still greatly overweighed by the large amount of negative effects on health. For example increased risk of liver diseases, cancer and pancreatitis. Nevertheless conversely moderate intake of alcohol may have some benefitial effects on gastritis. For instance chronic excess alcohol intake, can lead to a wide
