usually fall back to their old ways and commit another crime. Criminals have different backgrounds so they have different reasons for their actions. Some come from damaged homes, others may have been influenced by their friends or community they live in, for excample getthos, some may have commited a crime out of lifes circumstances. During and after their imprisonment criminals should get some mental help. A psychologist could figure out what is the reason for their criminal activity and could give them advice. If the criminal has some serious financial issues that he has not caused he should be given a job so that he could run his life back on tracks. I think that criminals should not just be sent to jail but given mental and reasonable financial help because otherwise there is no chance to raise a better community.

Separate state security courts have jurisdiction over activities affecting the security of the government. In addition, Shari'ah courts apply Islamic law in cases involving personal status. The Druze and non- Muslim communities have their own religious courts. All definitions of drug abuse imply a negative judgement of the drug use in question. Some of the drugs most often associated with this term include alcohol, amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine and opium alkaloids. Use of these drugs may lead to criminal penalty. Other definitions of drug abuse fall into four main categories: public health definitions, mass communication and vernacular usage, medical definitions, and political and criminal justice definitions. Depending on the actual compound, drug misuse including alcohol may lead to health and social problems: such as injuries, unprotected sex, violence, deaths, vehicle accidents, homo and suicides and mortality. Drug abuse makes central nervous system effects, which produce changes in mood, levels of awareness or perceptions and sensations. Some drugs appear to be more likely to lead to uncontrolled use than others. Bans

Crime & Punishment The fight between good and evil is as old as the humankind itself. Even in society there are always black sheep and these people are called 'criminals'. Although we are part of the EU and tend to be as humane as possible, we have to deal with the problem of growing numbers of people admitted to penitentiaries. One in all we have to dwelve into the mind of a criminal and find out what makes a felon tick. What forces an individual to commit crimes against others? Are we too humane and lenient? When looking for the reasons why people commit crimes I can only say what I believe to be sure of, and it is that individuals go against laws because they choose so, as criminal behaviour is a matter of choice. Today, there are many excuses cloaked as reasons for criminal behaviour. The misguided nature of these assertions has a serious impact upon
since the beginning of time. Ever since Kain slayed Abel, there has been crime. Though not only murder is a crime. Thievery, rape, arsonism and many more jolly things like that- they are all things that can be placed in a big metal barrel with the word crime written on it in blood. Actually everything illegal belongs there. And those who do it, they should be burned alive. There is no cure for being a thief, arsonist or a murderer. Only death can cure it. It is easy to become a criminal. For example, if you get sacked from your job, yet you have a family to feed, then it is easy to pocket some wallets or purses on the street and sell them. That would be the begining of a most likely long cycle, that usually ends with death or imprisonment. It is not easy to escape that cycle, because once a criminal- allways a criminal! Juss Kärner 10C

oppression and an unforgivable abomination. Obviously, a lot depends on whose point of view it is being represented. Terrorism has often been an effective tactic for the weaker side in a conflict. Terrorism is most common in nations with the average political freedom, and is least common in the most democratic nations. In some cases, terrorism has been a means to carry on a conflict without the antagonist realizing the nature of the threat, mistaking terrorism for criminal activity. Because of these characteristics, terrorism has become increasingly common among those extreme goals throughout the world. But despite its popularity, terrorism can be a confusing concept. Even within the U.S. Government, agencies responsible for different functions in the ongoing fight against terrorism use different definitions. The United States Department of Defense defines terrorism as "the calculated use of

isn't much of a punishment. It gives the feeling that a person can do what he wants, live like he wants and nothing happens. Furthermore I think that the life in prison is actually quite good. A place to sleep, food and people. Many prisoners who get out of prison are not afraid to go back. They have a stable life there and they are satisfied On the other hand I strongly believe that everything starts at home. People who live in a criminal neighbourhood or in a family with criminal reputation, are not afraid of the punishments. They even find it kind of exciting and it is like a game to them. In conclusion, a big amount of the criminals would definitely think about what they did if the punishments would be harsher. Nevertheless, it is impossible to create an ideal world because a universal solution for all problems does not exist.

Life of these people become more complicated than life of people, who hasn´t been punished. There are many issues and problems that come up and bring among some difficulties. First of all, there is prejudice, that a person who has committed a crime will do it again and they are not trustful, therefore they are treated with caution. You have to earn a person´s trust to be in a good relation with him/her and it is hard if you know about someone´s past with criminal aspects. It is easier to be in a relation with people with good past and we often choose people with same views on life beside us. However, I think it is not always true, that a person who has committed a crime, doesn't have accurate posture, because there can be many different reasons why a crime was committed and what kind of reasons did it have. Second, another area, where we can find inequality, is at work. When looking for a job, first of all, people without criminal past are chosen first

Many of these provisions were only reformed in the second half of the 20th century. The second book deals with the law of things: the regulation of property rights--ownership, usufruct, and servitudes. The third book deals with the methods of acquiring rights: by succession, donation, marriage settlement, and obligations. In the last chapters, the code regulates a number of nominate contracts, legal and conventional mortgages, limitations of actions, and prescriptions of rights. 6.Comparative criminal law Comparative criminal law is a subfield of the study of Criminal Justice that compares justice systems worldwide. Such study can take a descriptive, historical, or political approach. It studies the similarities and differences in structure, goals, punishment and emphasis on rights as well as the history and political stature of different systems. It is common to broadly categorize the functions of a criminal justice system into policing, adjudication (i.e

What are the best ways to prevent teenagers from committing crimes Nowadays there are many reasons why teenagers could be influenced into committing crimes. A lack of life experience can lead teenagers into criminal and even dangerous situations, such as robbery, taking drugs or drinking alcohol. I think, there are many ways to prevent teenagers from committing crimes. Firstly, I think, that teenagers lifestyle is their parents responsibility. Parents have to teach teenagers how to control their anger. Also it shouldn't be allowed for teenagers to watch cruel movies with violence. Moreover there are different programs, which help teenagers

not as effective as execution, and that the death penalty affirms the right to life by punishing those who violate it in the most serious form. For example: death penalty should exist for serial killers. Another reason is that the criminals who would have been executed are now the country's responsibility and they use taxpayers' money. On the other hand, capital punishment is very inhumane. After the execution new evidence may appear and the criminal might turn out to be innocent but there is nothing to do because we can not bring back the dead. Another reason for abolishing capital punishment is the criminal's innocent family. The whole process can bring them serious trauma for years afterwards. In my opinion capital punishment should be abolished in Estonia because it is inhumane. I also believe that a person or a group of people should not have the right to decide about another person's life or death
Story It was raining heavily yesterday. I was home alone. It wast quite late and quite dark outside. I was going to sleep when somebody knoked on my door. I sceared to death because i dont´t like to be home alone. I scared but i went to the door. When i opened the door there were three men. They looked very criminal. They asked is my parents at home. I dont´t know what i thinked at that instant but i said no. After that they pushed me inside and told me to shut up. They pulled their guns out and point it to my head. I started screaming and crying. They asked me quickly belt up or they gonna shoot me. When i was little calm down i asked what they want. They said that they want money and told me to call my parents. They said that my parent must pay one milion eurs. Before i get to call, the police arrived
At the same time my friend shouted something to me and I turned my head. When I looked back the man had dissapeared. I was terrified and ran home. I was still trembling when I got in to my bed. In the morning I was retelling the story to my parents and when I finished, they gave me a big hug to me. When I asked, what was going on they said that they're really happy that I'm okay, because the man I met on last night was a criminal, who had escaped out of prison. Since that day,I'm afraid to do home from my friend's house.
Why is it wrong? Capital punishment is a barbarous survival from a less enlightened and refined age; it is incongruous and incompatible with our present standard of civilization and humanity. It has been abolished by many states and countries, and we must look forward to the day when all the governments will follow this. It's a murder. The first question that comes to mind is, is it ethically acceptable to kill someone? When you execute a person, what is the difference between you and the criminal who has committed the crime of killing another individual. Furthermore, capital punishment can be inappropriate and unjust. It's not necessary. There is always a solution to the problem, instead of putting people to death sentence we could simply put them behind bars as he or she may improve himself. For instance, persons who have served life sentences have most of the time change their attitudes and their behaviors and have also made worthwhile contribution to the society.
executive compared to some other states. Except for the Secretary of State, voters elect executive officers independently these candidates are directly answerable to the public not the governor. This election system has led to some executive branches split between parties and reduced the ability of the governor to carry out a program. When Republican President George W. Bush served as Texas's governor, the state had a Democratic lieutenant governor, Bob Bullock. Criminal law Texas has a reputation of very harsh criminal punishment for criminal offenses. It is one of the 32 states that practice capital punishment and since the US Supreme Court allowed capital punishment to resume in 1976, 40% of all US executions have taken place in Texas. As of 2008, Texas had the 4th highest incarceration rate in the US. Texas also has strong self defense laws, allowing citizens to use lethal force to defend themselves, their families or their property. Economy
Identity theft occurs when someone uses another's personally identifying information, like their name, identifying number, or credit card number, without their permission, to commit fraud or other crimes.[1] Criminals can even use seemingly harmless pieces of information, such as your date of birth, to commit identity theft. [2] The different types of identity theft The Identity Theft Resource Centre sub-divides identity theft into six different categories.[3] Criminal identity theft (posing as another person when apprehended for a crime) Financial identity theft (using another's identity to obtain credit, goods and services) Identity cloning (using another's information to assume his or her identity in daily life) Medical identity theft (using another's identity to obtain medical care or drugs) Child identity theft.

Nobody can win a war. Historically people have always been at war. Everyone had their own reason for a war. One thought, that getting of the worldwide power is the goal of his life, another wanted to get more money, territory or even some kind of revenge. Bur war brings with it human's deaths, innocent victims, hunger, illnesses, violence, distractions etc. Is this worth fighting? On the one hand, there are some people who are able to kill houndreds of innocent victims to make his goal realized, because he has a power and he is allowed to do everything he wants. In addition to that, sometimes people use a war just to justify their revenge, they just use the power, they have, to satisfy own ambitions to feel a win's spirit. So they become winners, but it is only formally. On the other hand, there is only one advantage of a war getting some territory or money, but it has much more disadvantages like violence, distraction, hound...

offence. It has been used in almost every part of the globe. There is an international organisation called Amnesty International who are fighting for human rights. Thanks for them there are many countries who abolished it. But is it right or should capital punishment exist? Firstly I belive capital punishment should exist because if you gonna take somebody's life it is only fair when you pay for this with your own life. Many people are thinking how cruel it is for a criminal but we should also think of the families that are broken apart because of the merciless acts of these criminals. Secondly it is too expensive to hold prisoners who have lifelong punishment. Especially it affects countries who are financially disadvantaged. It is not fair that taxpayers have to maintain the murders. Thirdly death penalty scares potential criminals. Many people kill another people because they want

Capital punishment has been an ancient way of punishment, which is thought to have started with blood feud and human sacrifices to gods. There are different points of views supporting or held against this sort of punishment. First of all, it is inhumane, primitive and brutal way of revenge, which is contradiction to the basic values of Christian Europe. What is more, it stands in the way of society progressing morally. With this sort of punishment county sets itself at the same level as the criminal and this may increase aggressiveness and lover the value of human life. People who support capital punishment have as good arguments as those who are against it. Capital punishment helps to preserve people's belief in justice and the power of law. It also may help preventing wild justice. For this kind of punishment is the fact that public opinion has always supported it. It would be cynical to decide whether a person dies or lives based on financial consideration
Relatively few developed countries in the world impose the death penalty. Japan and South Korea are the only established democracies in the world, other than the US, which still conduct executions. The execution rate in Japan is a small fraction of that in the US. So it is high time the US society kept track with other civilized countries which value individual life and liberty above all else, where justice, not vengeance, is the only guiding principle of the system of criminal law. The death penalty must be eradicated from the society once and for all.
everything about these petty crimes an also how to avoid getting in the middle of them. It is very important to organise this meetings in the poor districts where teenagers are prone to ilicit activities such as pickpocketing or even burglery. Another method of reducing petty crime is that the people should learn how to protect their houses and their valuable goods. They should also learn how to protect themselves by thieves in order to not become victims of this criminal activity. It is very important to make people understand that they should also protect themselves because the police can only interfere after the crime. There are people who oppose these methods by believing that these will be time consuming and expensive, because they don’t think that teenagers will go to such meetings. Furthermore they hope that they won’t be victims of such acts and they don’t want to prepare for them.

The British Parliament The Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, commonly known as the British Parliament,Westminster Parliament or simply "Westminster". The British constitution has envolved over many centuries and unlike many other nations, the UK has no single constitutional documents. But Britain does, however, have certain important constitutional documents, including Magna Carta, Bill of Rights and Reform Act. It is formed partly by statue law, partly by common law and partly by conventions. Fundamental law doesn´t exist in the United Kingdom. There can be distinguish three separate organs: the legislature, the executive and the judiciary. Parliament, the law-making body, consists of three elements: the Monarchy, the House of Commons and the House of Lords. They meet together only on occasions of ceremonial significance, such as the state opening of Parli...
people should be more careful crime has been increased lately. We could count different type of crimes, but most common are smuggling and robberies. Many people like something, what do not belong to them. On the one hand, news are talking about shoplifting, bank robbery and vandalism. When looking for the reasons why people commit crimes I can only say what I believe to be sure of, and it is that individuals go against laws because they choose so, as criminal behaviour is a matter of choice. People want to have somebody`s things for living better. If somebodys house is looking too good, there is nice-looking car next to house or there are not so many families living in the neighbourhood and burglar can see that there is nobody in the house also, then burglar might notice, that there is a green light for him. But when thinking of proper punishment, I, for one, think that we are too lenient. At least in our country
v=rUakUPkbpU checking in online (e.g on facebook) shows where you are at the moment and that makes it easy for the burglars to know when you're away from home. Do I think the government has any right or reason to monitor people's online activity? The government should find out about potential threats online but should still let people keep their privacy (e.g they shouldn't check people's emails who aren't suspected of anything) e.g People writing to each other about criminal activities People posting videos of shoplifting and not get caught etc Do I suport the idea that anonymous comments under online articles should be done away with? It depends where these comments are posted. For example I think that when it is posted to an online newspaper webpage it is not as bad as when people write to web pages like sayatme.com. Then it can really psychologically damage a person and even lead to a suicide. Do I think the latter would change the

aswell things, people tend to get lost too. Some are found and alive, but some are not, and it´s a tragedy. I can´t imagine losing a beloved one, it would be awful, but so many of us have to face this terrible situation, where you don´t know if the person is safe and alright. As always, there are situations where the person doesn´t want to be found, or where she/he disappears without a trace. The reasons of disappearing are very variable, from criminal cases, trafficking in human beings, getting recruited as prostitutes to very hidden and deeply personal matters. The average amout of missing people in Estonia is 199 persons per year, although 70% of the missing persons in 2001-2005 were found alive, luckily. In 2007, night before 24th of June, a 19 year old girl Maris Järve was lost in Pärnu, she was last seen at 2.30 am at the beach promenade, and no one has heard anything about her ever since
Some people think that some criminals should just spend their whole life in prison and suffer there instead of capital punishment. I think that they deserve capital punishment. Why? If they spend their whole life in prison, it means, they will have three free meals in a day and they can also watch tv, study, work, don't have to pay taxes and some of the prisons look more nicer than someone's ordinary home and who pays for their free living? We do. I also think that some of the criminal are kind of mentally ill and they will never feel guilty of what they did and some are even proud of it if they have murdered or tortured somebody's daughter or son and and all they get for punishment is carefree life? No. It's my opinion that they should be treated same as way as they treated someone else and in many cases it means capital punishment. Also it's said that if we abolish capital punishment, we will save lives. Most of the criminals,
On the one hand, starting a conversation with this topics can be safe, If both participants are not arguing, but just unbiased and discussing it. Everything depends of place, where you have met this new person. If you had met him somewhere at conference, where is suitable to talk about politics, then it could be fine. You can start a conversation with different questions like: "Hello, which political party you belong to?" - It would not be criminal. This person will answer you, if he wants to. Then you can keep on with your questions and try to promote this conversation. On the other hand, starting a conversation with topics like that in some public place is not very good. Because, who wants to listen something about politics in club or caffee. And seriously, who cares which religion are you connected with. It only could bring you the misfortune. Besides, if you want to meet a new friend you should not start conversation like that
