Names In The English-Speaking Countries Naming children has always been important to families and authorities. A long time ago, when people lived in small communities, only one name was given to a baby. As the population increased, there were too many people living in the same place and having the same name. Between the twelfth and sixteenth centuries, depending on the part of Britain, families began to add an extra name to baby's first name. Many surnames were given after a person's father or mother. In the Middle Ages the name of a newborn baby was not said out before christening. It was a widespread belief that witches and fairies used the names of their future victims in their spells. In some parts of Britain people used to call each other by nicknames in order to avoid the sound of their real names reaching the ears of cruel fairies. Tolerance and Diversity Janne Susi In today's world, the coexistence of different cultures is one of the most vital developments. Furthermore, the principles of tolerance and peaceful coexistence of different nations have often been underlined by the representatives of the European Union. The same ideas have lately been spreading in the Baltic countries. So, what are the main dangers to the tolerance and friendly coexistence in these countries? There are several phenomena which counteract the successful coexistence and integration of people from different cultural backgrounds. First and foremost, both coexistence and integration require a high level of tolerance from all those involved. Here, the major obstacle is often xenophobia which may be caused by a wide range of factors.
The point of equality, is for everyone to have the same opportunities. In a society with perfect equality, everyone would be able to do what they want, no matter where they are from, how wealthy their parents are, what color their skin is and so on. A persons gender or skin color wouldn't matter, if he or she would apply for a job or candidate for a political position. The same goes for voting rights and the laws would also be the same for everyone. A good example of how modern countries have more equality among their citizens is the United States of America. It sounds simple and easy, but for some reason, throughout the history, it has been very difficult to actually keep peace. Why then is it so important? Firstly, when there is peace, people are happy. Different nations. There has always been a moving and mixing of people, caused by different reasons. As a result of this process people now have mixed cultures and many cultural conflicts. It should be easy and good to live in a town full on different cultures, but it may cause some trouble to. Countries with rich diversity usually do not have a race problem.Small countries with only one or two nationalities can be the centre of such problem.The people in these countries do not have any experiences with other origins people, because they aren't used to it. When they see, for example, a black-skinned person ,they start whispering.However, people who grew up in countries with wide diversity, are much more tolerant. They meet different origins and skin colours every day. Different cultures make the country interesting place to live.They can introduce their customs and culture to others and in time the cultures blend and become one

First I thought that why is always easier to create something but to destroy is much harder. Exactly there have been so many wars in history. Elder people do not agree with the fact that their daughter or son might get married to a representative of another race. However young people would say that love is blind and so is friendship. Men and women in politics Women have become a force to be reckoned with in the world of politics. Over the past decade, women have resolved into leadership positions, encouraging the same sex to voice their opinions in voting booths, political debates, and society. Not only in America, but nationwide. Women comprise over 35 percent of the lower house in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Demark; 15 percent or less are seen in parliaments within ten countries . Over the years, women had to protest and fight for this right so that young women today can vote and have a say so in who represents the people of our city, state, and country. A woman's influence in politics has yet to be recognized as a true political voice of women that actually yields power. Perceptions of women and politics from the media, society, men, and even women themselves have shaped women's ability everywhere to participate politically and socially within our society.
