"constraints" - 85 õppematerjali

constraints - Piirangud Tegemist oli kahtlemata väga hariva artikliga, mis vastas igati minu ootustele ja kuigi usun, et eesti keeles oleks ehk mõningaid nüansse paremini mõistnud leian siiski, et see andis palju juurde just maakorralduse alaste arengute mõistmise osas arvestades, et senini on mu teadmised selles vallas võrdlemisi kesised.

Functional user requirements may be high level statements of what the system should do.Functional system requirements should describe the system services in detail. Functional requirements Statements of services the system should provide, how the system should react to particular inputs and how the system should behave in particular situations. May state what the system should not do. Non-functional requirements These define system properties and constraints e.g. reliability, response time and storage requirements. Constraints are I/O device capability, system representations, etc. Process requirements may also be specified mandating a particular IDE, programming language or development method Non-functional requirements(FURPS+ Functionality Usability reliability Performance Supportability) Constraints on the services or functions offered by the system such as timing constraints, constraints on the development process, standards, etc.

Different cultures

Effective communication with people of different cultures is especially challenging. Cultures provide people with ways of thinking--ways of seeing, hearing, and interpreting the world. The same words can mean different things to people from different cultures, even when they talk the "same" language. When the languages are different, and translation has to be used to communicate, the potential for misunderstandings increases. Second are "behavior constraints." Each culture has its own rules about proper behavior which affect verbal and nonverbal communication. Whether one looks the other person in the eye-or not; whether one says what one means overtly or talks around the issue; how close the people stand to each other when they are talking--all of these and many more are rules of politeness which differ from culture to culture. Third factor is "emotional constraints." Different cultures regulate the display of emotion differently

Visions of a Sustainable World

Visions of a sustainable world Creating a shared vision of a sustainable and desirable future is the most critical task facing humanity today. This vision must be of a world that we all want, a world that provides permanent prosperity within the Earth’s biophysical constraints in a fair. At the centre of the idea of sustainability is an ethical imperative to pass on a undiminished future to our children. To bring our world toward sustainability — or any other goal — we need to take different kinds of steps, which require different kinds of knowledge, talent, skill, and work. Future will be sustainable when citizens are concerned enough about the environment that they want to make a difference

The Romantic Age

Art Increased Nationalism and exoticism - Artist used their works for highlighting national identity and displayed exoticism by painting new and foreign things, including far away places and odd objects. More interest in Nature and the Supernatural - Artists often used nature to convey emotions. Also the supernatural represented emotions. For example: love-cupids, fear -demons, and many other characteristics. Individuality- it was all about loosing formal constraints, giving way to artists to show their individual ideas and emotions. Heroism- Heroism didn't just mean the supernatural. Many people, like Beethoven, believed that the common man could be heroes. Artists painted this idea during the Romantic Age. Artists: J.M.W. Turner, Albert Bierstadt and Thomas Cole The picture is painted by Thomas Cole : " The voyage of life"

Constructivism theory

The major thesis of constructivism is that the international system is "socially constructed," that is, it "consists of, "the ways in which human beings think and interact with one another." In contrast to realism, for which international relations are driven by the states' security and material interests defined in terms of power, and to liberal internationalism that concentrates upon the interdependency of international actors and their operation within institutional constraints, constructivism considers international politics as a sphere of interaction which is shaped by the actors' identities and practices and influenced by constantly changing normative institutional structures. For all theories of international relations, the world is in anarchy, and because of this it is helpful to start with a definition of anarchy and what it implies. Anarchy, for theories that deal with international relations, refers to the world as a whole having no government

Loyality and hard work is another form of investing, like being a lifelong employee of a company or the government. In return, via contract, that individual is rewarded with a pension for life. That is a form of investment popular in the Industrial Age but obsolete in the Information Age. Other people invest in having large families and, in turn, have their children care for them in their old age. That form of investing was the norm in the past, yet due to economic constraints in the present, it is becoming more difficult for families to handle the living and medical expenses of parents. A CHOICE OF PATHS There are the different financial paths people can choose. Unfortunately, most people choose the path of job security. When the economy starts wobbling, they often cling more desperately to job security. They wind up spending their lives there. HOW TO GET FREE Taxes and debt are two of the main reasons most people never feel financially secure or achieve

At this juncture it would appear reasonable to expect that 166,350 square feet of space could be accommodated below grade, easily accommodating the three-level design. Further expansion below grade to the north of the Grant Community Center may constitute valuable space available for further development, although it has not been studied herein or included in available space estimates. Although the constraints on above grade construction do not directly translate into clear limitations of available space, examination of a range of options has led to a recommendation to accommodate 32,000 square feet of space in two buildings above grade. In the time frame of Northern Pointe development it is felt that the Douglas Fir trees alone would merit preservation during construction, although replacement planting of a number of major trees is envisioned to follow construction. arising all over the world. Comparisons can also reveal the structural nature of law, leading to questions about the role of legal narratives about family law, the effects of those narratives on the state and the structure of society and more importantly law as a form of legal reasoning that travels across time and space to create new institutional forms and doctrinal arrangements. The field of Comparative Family Law is undergoing rapid development despite initial constraints. Scholars of comparative law often overlooked family law as an important and distinctive site for the contestation of norms and values, perhaps because they viewed family law as too political for the technical inquiry carried out by comparativists. Other scholars characterized the family as a unique place, the opposite of the market, where traditional rather than modern discourses are at play and where moral and religious values, often in tension with secular visions, shape legal institutions.

working sketch, used by engineers and physicists to analyze the forces and moments acting on a body. The body itself may consist of multiple components, an automobile for example, or just a part of a component, a short section of a beam for example, anything in fact that may be considered to act as a single body, if only for a moment. A whole series of such diagrams may be necessary to analyze forces in a complex problem. The free body in a free body diagram is not free of constraints, it is just that the constraints have been replaced by arrows representing the forces and moments they generate. Drawing a free body diagram can help determine the unknown forces on, moments applied to, and equations of motion of, the body and thus help to analyse a problem in statics or dynamics. In analysis of structures, free body diagrams for a component of a structure or, part thereof, are used in determining shear forces and bending moments 28

The last two consequences have been statistically demonstrated by the author of this thesis. The problems and their associated causes revealed in the literature review apply to the Estonian construction industry, as demonstrated by the research summary, even if we take into account a difference in cultural backgrounds. 25 CHAPTER 3- LEAN CONSTRUCTION Problems and constraints related to conventional production management, as discussed in the previous chapter, all lead to unproductive and inefficient project delivery. As a consequence, the construction industrys reputation among the public is not the best. At the same time, the productivity of other industries has risen multiple times over the last century, e.g., that of Toyota Motors Company, which has developed its own production system, known as Toyota Production System (TPS).

Finland

In the last few years, the Finnish economy has performed reasonably well. Total output was 5% higher in 2006 than in 2005, but economic activity leveled off in the latter half of the year. GDP is predicted to grow by 4.4% in 2007, while 2008 is likely to show a slower rate of growth, estimated at 3.3%. Despite the current favorable outlook, there is a degree of uncertainty in the Finnish economy caused by the large fluctuations in electronics industry production, together with resource constraints. Cost and price pressures have increased, and there is a threat of industry's price competitiveness starting to weaken. Unemployment decreased significantly from 1994 to 7.7% in 2006 and is expected to drop to 6.7% in 2007. A relatively inflexible labor market and high employer-paid social security taxes hamper growth in employment. Labor bottlenecks are becoming more common in certain sectors, and this will increasingly restrict growth in output in the future.

The road to the signature of the final agreement of accession was long, but these difficulties pale in comparison to the problems that have not yet been tackled in terms of achieving real implementation of its provisions throughout the territory of the People's Republic of China (PRC). China's accession surely presents the world trading system with opportunities, but also poses the challenge of integrating a market with strong structural, behavioural and cultural constraints. The government emphasizes personal income and consumption by introducing new management systems to help increase productivity. The government also focuses on foreign trade as a major vehicle for economic growth, which led to 5 Special Economic Zones (SEZ: Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Shantou, Xiamen, Hainan Province) where investment laws are relaxed so as to attract foreign capital. Since the 1990s, SEZs and similar concepts have been expanded to major Chinese cities, including Shanghai and Beijing

Godwin-Jones (2003) also indicates that through blogging, people are able to document their reflections about things relevant to their daily life experiences, sharing such things with their friends, families, and/or group members. He further points out that blogs and other social networking sites provide new opportunities and incentives for personal writing (Godwin-Jones, 2003). In other words, blogs allow people to exchange information without space and time constraints, to broaden their knowledge, and to meet personal needs and interests at the same time. Thirdly, the most valuable feature of blogs is that the interactive feature of a blog can enhance critical reflection as one can read and also comment on what one reads in expectation of a little discussion and a quest for common interests and individual differences. This element forces students to make more meaningful decisions about content as they are aware that their reflection is a

to be more expensive than other sources (see Economics of new nuclear power plants, Clean coal, and Carbon capture and storage). In 2004, wind energy cost one-fifth of what it did in the 1980s, and some expected that downward trend to continue as larger multi-megawatt turbines were mass-produced. However, installed cost averaged 1,300 per kilowatt in 2007,compared to 1,100 per kilowatt in 2005. Not as many facilities can produce large modern turbines and their towers and foundations, so constraints develop in the supply of turbines resulting in higher costs. Research from a wide variety of sources in various countries shows that support for wind power is consistently between 70 and 80 percent amongst the general public. Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) figures show that 2007 recorded an increase of installed capacity of 20 GW, taking the total installed wind energy capacity to 94 GW, up from 74 GW in 2006

production, as sugarcane occupies about 10% of the current planted area, and only 50% of it is used for ethanol feedstock. Sugarcane cultivation takes up only 2.5% of the total agricultural land available and it has been predicted that there is plenty of potential for agricultural expansion (Padula et al, 2007). It is well accepted that, in Brazil, the current large-scale sugarcane production does not compromise food production, and even an expansion would be possible without constraints. Sugarcane is mostly cultivated in the southeast region of Brazil and sugarcane production has limited impact on deforestation, because the soil and weather conditions in the Amazon are not suitable for sugarcane. Nevertheless, large areas dedicated for sugarcane production limit the land availability that can be used for other crops. In areas, where sugarcane is primarily produced, the production of oranges, cattle and other crops have lost space to sugarcane (Padula et al. 2007; Bowen, 2010)
