Aim of the work The determination of the concentrations of acid and base solutions through titration. Used compounds HCl solution with an unknown concentration. NaOH solution with a known accurate concentration, indicators phenolphthalein (ff/pp) and methyl red (mp/mr). Equipment Conical flasks (250 cm3), 2 burettes (25 cm3), pipette (10 cm3). Procedure A. Determining the concentration of a hydrochloric acid solution through titration 1. To determine the concentration of the acid solution take the NaOH solution with a known concentration (the standard solution) and pour it into the burette (α in figure 2.2). See that there are no air bubbles near the tip. Fill the burette until the 0-point of the scale. When measuring the level of the solution keep your eyes at the same level with the liquid level. The lower edge of the liquid level has to be at the 0 calibration mark (see figure 2.1).

rather than relying on the analysis of primary THE DENIAL OF HOLOCAUST real life situation of pseudohistory WHAT IS THE HOLOCAUST? the holocaust was a systematic elimination of a nation, in which approximately six million European Jews were killed during the period 1941-1945. Adolf Hitler's Nazi regime and it's collaborators were behind the genocide which took place throughout the Nazi Germany and other German- occupied territories. concentration camps (extreme work under starvation condition) & extermination camps (mass executions, primarily by gassing). THE DENIAL OF THE HOLOCAUST `'Holocaust denial'' negates the established facts of the happenings in the holocaust. There is an assumption by deniers that if they can just find one tiny crack in the Holocaust structure, it can all be disproved. But the holocaust is not a single event that a single fact can prove or disprove.
The truth is media manipulation and propaganda is still all around us. Global news and magazines still dominate what kind of news see on television and latest fashion determines which clothes to wear. The large variety of international media publications does not necessarily mean more opinions as many of them belong the same monopolistic companies, which only distribute their content on different platforms and for different audiences across countries. This kind of concentration of media power can be a real threat to democratic societies. (Concentration, 1980). The story of a man who has taken all control over public media and uses it politically to govern a country is not only the history of Adolf Hitler, but can also be found in the modern day Europe. A living example of this could be found in Italy, where the former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi maintained a tight grip on the public press. Being a prime minister

Just as with current buyer needs, firms in a cluster benefit from the concentration of firms with buyer knowledge and relationships, the juxtaposition of firms in related industries, the concentration of specialized information-generating entities, and buyer sophistication.“ (Porter 2000) Seega tõukavad klastrid ettevõtteid tihedamale koostööle ja eelnevalt nimetatud keerukamate tootmisvõimaluste suunas, et pakkuda innovaatilisi ja unikaalseid tooteid. to reaveal how 'old' you are between 18 and 90 years old. While the basic principles generalize to estimating other reaction times, the exact numbers do not. Each type of reaction time has its own pecularities that must be examined. For example, reaction time for a shooter who is tracking a target might be 0.4 second, but even this would be a function of trigger pull weight. The data revealed that range of factors seem to affect player's concentration. For example, the average reaction time of drivers is 10 percent faster than that of non- drivers, and those that slept for eight hours the night before the survey reported the fastest reaction times of 525 ms - up to 20 percent faster than those who got less shut-eye. Keywords: movement time, urgency, results, visibility, reflexes, emergency stop, drivers.

Of course, like anything else, video games can be addictive, which may lead to eye damage. The impact of excessive visual medium is evident as a large number of children these days start wearing spectacles from an early age. Long hours of playing can also result in headaches and dizziness. When played moderately, video games have many benefits. The activities and actions on the screen provide a lot of mental stimulation, improving coordination, concentration and problem-solving skills. Online gaming enables many players to engage in a particular game simultaneously. There is constant communication between the players which in turn results in the development of meaningful as well as casual relationships among them. Even cadults can bond with their children while playing together. Modern electronic games are negative only when played irresponsibly. Overall, they can have a lot of
In March 1958, a few months after the launch of Sputnik 1, a competition was announced for the best design of an obelisk celebrating the dawn of the Space Age. Out of some 350 proposals, the design by sculptor A.P. Faidysh-Krandievsky and architects A.N. Kolchin and M.O. Barshch was chosen. The grand opening of the monument took place on October 4, 1964, on the day of the 7th anniversary of the Sputnik 1 launch. Since the 1960s, this part of Moscow in general has had a high concentration of space- themed sights and names: besides the monument and the museum under it, the grand "Cosmos" pavilion in the Exhibition Centre displayed many artifacts of the Soviet space program. Many streets in the area have been named after the precursors of the space program (Nikolai Kibalchich, Friedrich Zander, Yuri Kondratyuk) and its participants (Sergey Korolyov). The monument was designed to accommodate a museum in its base. However, it took
special electoral body for a five-year term. The electoral body is convened in case no candidate secures a two-third-majority in Parliament after three rounds of balloting. The President can not be elected for more than two consecutive terms. History Estonia didn't have a president from 1918 to 1938. This institution was intentionally left out of the first Estonian constitution, for its authors tried to avoid the concentration of power in one person's hands by all means possible. Estonia's constitution was amended in 1933, transforming the country from a parliamentary to a presidential state. The head of state, according to the new constitution, was also called the State Elder. Konstantin Päts became the first person to bear this title. His term was to last for six years, but ended short as Estonia was annexed by the Soviet Union in 1940 Konstantin Päts Lennart Meri
successfully. Firstly, I think it would be a good idea to create a study timetable for revision. A timetable helps you to make clear goals for each revision session and assign a timescale in which to achieve them. As a result, you can reduce anxiety, reassure that you have taken all your necessary steps and increase your motivation to sit down and learn. Secondly, I recommend taking breaks periodically. This would mean that your concentration is better and you find yourself retaining more information than if you try to revise with an over- tired mind that does not remember what it just read. Lastly, it is also important to stay calm and positive. Spend time doing something relaxing each day, such as listening to your favorite music, going for a walk or swim. You also need to make sure you eat and sleep well and get some exercise. In this way, you will feel relaxed and

Such as gallbladder disease, heart disease, hypertension (high blood pressure), dyslipidemia (high cholesterol), stroke and even cancer. So if you don't want to be at risk for any of these diseases it is advised you get regular exercise and eat accordingly. Another great way to lead a healthy lifestyle is to get enough rest. As students, we must go to sleep early. This is to prevent us from being tired the next day. Therefore, we can give full concentration when our teachers are teaching us in class. A study shows that we must have atleast 8 hours of sleep. If we often stay up at night, it means that we are not leading a healthy lifestyle all the time. In conclusion, a healthy lifestyle mainly consists of getting regular exercise, eating healthy and getting enough rest.

People who play computer games for several hours every day frequently have lack of social interaction with people. They don't go outside and socialize with other people, because they need to gain more levels in a game to impress their internet buddies. Although there are a lot of cons to paying computer games, there are also positive sides to it. For example a lot of games help to develop children's mental abilities. When playing first- person-shooter games, gamers develop their concentration skills and reaction, when playing strategy games, they increase their cognitive skills and memory. Secondly entertainment. This is the very reason people start playing video games, they just get bored and want to try something fun. It's a very easy and cheap way to spice up everyday routine for children and grown-ups. Also, several researches show that playing violent, action-packed games doesn't make people

advances made in many countries for the recognition of same sex couples. Certainly, some work remains necessary in order to eradicate the last vestiges of discrimination. But with changing public opinion, it will only be, according to some people, a matter of time, the time needed for a movement begun many decades earlier to achieve its goals. To tell the truth, the 20th century has undoubtedly been the most violently homophobic period of history: deportation to concentration camps under the Nazi regime, Soviet gulags, blackmail and persecution in the United States in the McCarthy era... Obviously, all of that can seem very distant to us now. But quite often living conditions in the world today remain very unfavorable. Homosexuality is discriminated against everywhere: in at least 80 countries, homosexual acts are forbidden by law (Algeria, Senegal, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Bosnia...); in many countries, the

One and a half million Armenians were killed, out of a total two and a half million Armenians in the Ottoman Empire. (Fact Sheet: Armenian Genocide) (Wikipedia, 2011) (UHRC, 2011) First the Armenians in the army were disarmed, placed into labor battalions, and then killed and then the Armenian political and intellectual leaders were rounded up on April 24, 1915, and then killed. Finally, the remaining Armenians were called from their homes, told they would be relocated, and then marched off to concentration camps in the desert between Jerablus and Deir Ez-Zor where they starved and thirsted to death in the burning sun. (Fact Sheet: Armenian Genocide) (Wikipedia, 2011) (ANI, 2011) 1.2. The Armenian Massacre The Armenian Massacre started in the early 1900's, when secret meetings began to be held by the Turks. It has been quoted that a man named Dr. Nazim had once said "If we are going to do something like the Adana massacre of 1909, here and there, the result will do us more harm than good." Dr
Due to friction with particles of the seabed there is a loss in energy of the waves. This effect becomes significant if a wave reaches shallow waters with a depth shorter than a quarter of the wavelength. The power loss can be tenth of watts per meters of crest length by traveling one meter over the seabed. The formation of breaking waves by running up the beach causes an additional power loss due to dissipation effects caused by effects of turbulence. Concentration effects due to refraction Refraction is a change of wave direction caused by a change of wave velocity. It is influenced by the depth contours around a coast. The reason for refraction is the interaction of waves and the sea floor. Most of the times waves will not approach the coastline with their crests parallel to the shore. If a wave travels towards a coast at an angle, one end of the crest arrives at the shallow water zone first. As

The variety of ways to understand catcher in the rye is one of the strenghts of this book. I also liked that the characters and the settings were quite realistic. I would highly recommend this book even though it's probably not for everyone because it requires deep concentration to find out the meaning behind the symbols that are used and the reader also has to figure out what the author wanted to say. Otherwise, it could just seem like two days of a random teenage boy who droped out of school and doesent know what to do with his life and isn´t even trying to find a solution. Külliki Matt 11.L

Attitudes to alcohol Data from the Customs Department and from a local manufacturer show that the per capita consumption of pure alcohol among those 15 years and older in 1994 was 0.7 liters. This level is far below that of many other South Pacific nations reflecting, in part, the fact that some 90% of the Solomon Island's population live in rural villages where they have only limited involvement in the cash economy. It also reflects the concentration of liquor outlets in the capital, Honiara, and the main provincial centers. It is generally believed that the unlawful production of alcoholic beverages (home brew, toddy and kaleve) is not uncommon. consumption blurred vision and coordination problems generally occure. As far as cell membranes are concerned they are highly permeable to alcohol, once alcohol is in the bloodstream it can diffuse into nearly every biological tissue of the body. Excessive drinking may lead to unconsciousness or alcohol poisoning. Death can also occur. Different concentrations of alcohol in the human body have different effects on the subject. Depending on the BAC (blood alcohol concentration) there are different states the consumer may end up: euphoria, lethargy , confusion, stupor, coma. Therefore it is important to have control over alcohol intake in order to avoid coma while the goal is euphoria. Allthough when taking a next beer, following mornings hangover seems to be the main disadvantage, in addition there are also long term effects such as an increased risk of developing alcoholism, cardiovascular disease, liver disease, and cancer. Through a delicate process called homeostasis, the body keeps both phosphate and calcium at healthy levels. Both the kidneys and the parathyroid glands play vital roles. First, the kidneys, which activate vitamin D, control the amount of phosphate that is absorbed and excreted from the foods you eat. Second, a hormone called parathyroid hormone (PTH) regulates phosphate by increasing or decreasing the blood's phosphate concentration. A normal blood phosphate level in adults is 3-4.5 mg/dL and a normal PTH is 10-55 pg/mL. However, in kidney disease and kidney failure, the body is not able to keep the levels of phosphate at healthy levels. When the kidneys start to fail, they cannot excrete excess phosphate from your body. In addition, excess PTH production, which occurs in kidney failure, prevents the body from maintaining healthy levels of phosphate. Why is it important to keep phosphate levels under control?
28 years there may be a modest protective effect against some diseases, including Parkinson's 29 disease, heart disease, and certain types of cancer. Some people experience sleep disruption if 30 they consume caffeine, especially during the evening hours, but others show little disturbance 31 and the effect of caffeine on sleep is highly variable. 32 Caffeine is quickly and completely removed from the brain. Its effects are short-lived and it 33 tends not to negatively affect concentration or higher brain functions. However, continued 34 exposure to caffeine leads to developing a tolerance to it. Tolerance causes the body to become 35 sensitized to adenosine, so withdrawal causes blood pressure to drop, which can result in a 36 headache and other symptoms. Too much caffeine can result in caffeine intoxication, which is 37 characterized by nervousness, excitement, increased urination, insomnia, flushed face, cold
recovery. · No change in ATP or glycogen after 6 min · After 6 min of recovery peak W, speed and mean power were all lower than the original sprint Bogdanis et al. Cont... · Gaitanos and colleagues (1993) examined the effects of 10 x 6 s maximal sprints on muscle metabolism. · Energy for 1st sprint from PCr degradation and anaerobic glycolysis, reflected in a 57% depletion of PCr, and a significant increase in lactate concentration. · After 10th sprint there was: a decrease in mean power output by 23%, no increase in lactate, and a fall in PCr levels from 43% pre-bout to 16% post sprint, accounting for 90% of ATP production. · Anaerobic glycolysis was inhibited and energy was provided by PCr degradation and increased aerobic metabolism (more than 13% increase). Cont... · Bogdanis et al. (1998) mean W is decreased by 21% in the 2nd half of a 20 s sprint.
The structure consists of 2 members: steel wire rope 7x7 and a circular bar made of Aluminum alloy Al Mg4.5Mn0.7. The structure is loaded by the vertical force F that is acting at the joint, connecting these components. Calculate the minimum allowed diameter d of the aluminum bar and the maximum allowed value of the load F, assuming the relative position and mechanical properties of components (manufacturing tolerances, components' mass, possible stress concentration and buckling should be neglected). Wire rope nominal diameter is 10 mm and the strength is FLim = 58,3 kN. Yield strength of Aluminum alloy is 0,2 = 110 MPa. The value of design factor is [S] = 6. Required milestones: 1. Draw the sketch of the structure according to the values of A and B; 2. Derive the functions of both components internal forces as function of load F; 3

to the blood (e.g., air enters through the mouth and then...). 2) Explain the mechanism of how air is drawn into the body with reference to Boyle's law and diffusion. 3) With reference to Dalton's law explain why training at altitude can be problematic for athletes. Henry's Law · When a mixture of gases is in contact with a liquid, each gas will dissolve in the liquid in proportion to its partial pressure. · Greater concentration of gas, the more and faster that gas will go into solution in the liquid. · How much gas dissolves in liquid depends on: solubility of the gas in the liquid temperature of the liquid. Did You Know...? The solubility of a gas in blood and the temperature of blood are relatively constant. Differences in the partial pressures of gases in the aveoli and in the blood create a pressure gradient across the respiratory membrane.
It gives children early exposure to team sports, and promotes good physical fitness. Children who participate in physical education get a workout, and they also learn the importance of exercise as a lifelong habit. Physical education is clearly an important course in schools, with many benefits for children. In addition to helping kids learn healthy habits and stay off drugs, physical education can also increase learning by getting the blood flowing and increasing oxygen levels, which promote concentration. Sports and PE help children build self esteem and help them learn important lessons in teamwork. Physical education is extremely important and should be protected in schools, despite budget cuts. Children who take PE classes at school may also be able to use those classes as a springboard to become interested in joining a team sport. Numerous studies have shown that children who participate in a team sport are less likely to become involved in drugs. Sports increases the awareness of health
learn. Outdoor education is necessary to encourage students to become good stewards and to think globally but act locally regarding the environment and environmental issues. Also, outdoor education is not only important to raise environmentally responsible citizens, but to have positive impact on student's development. Several studies are claiming that students who participate in outdoor education have rising trends in self-esteem, linguistic skills, motivation, concentration and better understanding of the concept. All these aspects are essential in youth development and the main reason why these traits have positive growth is that in outdoor education many different subjects are combined and integrated. This will make student lives and interaction with the world clearer. Some nature centers, environmental education facilities, camps, and other organizations that focus on teaching outdoor education have started to incorporate digital
3. The experiment. The metal piece is inside of a numbered sheet of paper. Ask for the mass of the metal sample from your lab supervisor. Take the piece of metal out of the paper and wrap it into the filter paper (not too tightly because the paper should open during the experiment). Wet the filter paper with distilled water. Measure with a small measuring cylinder 5...6 cm3 of hydrochloric acid with a concentration of 10%. Pour the acid through the funnel into the test tube so that the acid does not wet the upper part of the test tube. 4. While holding the test tube with the acid under a slight angle (d), place the piece of metal in the moist filter paper onto the wall of the test tube 2 cm below the opening (Figure 1, position d). Close tightly the test tube so that it is hermetic but avoid sudden movements that may drop the metal piece into the acid
Kuid at võis tarbida arseeniühendeid ka kosutuseks. Arseeni biotoimest.Lihtainena pole arseen mürgine, kuid arseeniühendid on surmavad.
