A Computer in my life The computer has become an important part of our lives. There are very few jobs that don't use a computer and pupils in schools use them too. A common thing with people today is computer addiction. Some people just have to sit the whole day in front of the computer and just can't leave. I also spend a large amount of time in front of the computer, but I think I am not a computer addict because I use the computer mostly for studying and catching up with friends, but most of my free time I like to spend outside. Technology has definitely changed the way I write, in both quality and quantity. For me writing is more of a chore than an enjoyable activity. To be honest, I hate writing; essays, and assignments, even long e-mails sometimes bother me. When I sit down with my laptop to write an essay I look at the word processing screen and all I see is how much I haven't written and how much I have left to write. The task in front of me becomes more daunting and frustrating. I feel like when I write on the computer my words are chosen to simply fill a page. Handwriting provides an escape from the looming word counts and page numbers. We discussed in class how writing by hand forces you to think out your sentences and chose your words more carefully. Computers breed laziness and discontent Nowadays most people have computers.People are getting more and more addicted to computers and of course Internet. I think that every human should control his or her computer using habits. First of all, people have to use their brains lesser. They do not have to remember how to spell words anymore, the computer does it all for them. What is more, students do not have to go library to do their home tasks. They can just use Internet search engines. For this reason, people`s brains grow lazy. Secondly, people are just sitting behind the computer and watching the screen. They are chatting or doing work but they do not understand that they must take break and do some exercises. In my opinion not exercising can make people stressed and unsatisfied.

Some professions are more needed in society than others. In Estonia we need mostly newer professions, connected with computers. I think doctor is a most needed profession. We have so many illnesses and nobody knows what it is. We need people, who help us to cope with them. In Estonia doctors earn not much money, that's why a lot of them go to foreign country to work and to earn their living. The second most needed profession is connected with computers. More growing computer using and replacing jobs with robots and computer programs leaves some people without jobs. But companies need somebody to look after the computers and computer repairmen who know how to fix the computer problems. There are viruses computers and hackers who try brake in computers and all companies computers need to protected from those threats. The third most needed profession is a good government employee. People want some changes
being repaired, or some older ones are being demolished to make space for newer and bigger buildings. Some old houses are being restored like they used to be in the past. WE NEED PAPER BOOKS We really need paper books. Now a days, most of teenagers think that studying by a computers or mobile phones is much more useful, but actually ist's not. A lot of people spend their time at home using a computer, when people start doing it in schools too, they are going to be blind soon, because it affects your eyes. People should really think about their future more. I understand if you are doing some schoolworks on the computer, but definitely not all of those. If you read lots of books, it developes you reading speed and it will be useful if you can read fast and if it sounds nice. Also if you are on the computer all the time, you can't write soon, too. And then the next generation in Estonia is going to be like Africa, that people can't read or write. So we should still use paper books, it's cheaper and much more useful.
