How to avoid colds?

How to avoid colds? Colds and other sicknesses are common occurrences in human life. There are probably more than a million people who are suffering a terrible head cold, a cough and a sore throat right now. These illnesses are not mostly dangerous for people, but if not treated, they may become life-threatening. For example, a simple cold may become a serious disease called otitis, and a simple cough pneumonia. There are a lot precautions to avoid colds, but not everyone pays attention to. The most common way to avoid them, is to dress according to the weather. When it is windy outside, people should wear something windproof, mostly in early spring and late autumn. In winter the dressing should be warm and layerd. Eating healthy food, doing sports and sleeping normally are also very important actions to stay healthy. Healthy food, for example, is different fruits, vegetables and non-fat soups and fries. Also

Life in future

from shops, actually not from shops but from the internet, because there won't be shops anymore. Food nearly won't exist anymore; energy will come in tablet form. Transport will be a lot comfortable and faster. Cars will be soundless and all vehicles will whir ten times faster. You will think nothing of taking a holiday in outer space. Students will learn from TV, recorders and teaching machines. They will get pills to make them learn faster. We shall be healthier, too. There will be no common colds, cancer, tooth decay or mental illness. But this will be artificial and impermanent. People will be lazier because they won't have to do any work and life will be extremely comfortable but boring. It looks that if everything will be so easy, people will probably die simply from boredom. It's the way I think the world will live in the next century - if there is any world left!

Pet therapy

Levinson was able to complete the psychotherapy successfully.  But what aspect of the animal-human relationship is the cause of such benefits? Does the companionship of animals fulfill certain basic human needs that are still not fully understood, but which are nevertheless vital to our sense of well-being? One recent study revealed that there were significantly fewer minor illnesses such as colds, backaches and stomach problems among adults after they had acquired a pet. "It is difficult to know if they became healthier as a result of acquiring their pet, but they certainly perceived themselves to be so,” the researcher said.  There is no real explanation however, for why animals can change people in various ways. Elizabeth Ormerod, who is spearheading a campaign to introduce pets into a Scottish prison, has watched the effect of animals on prisoners

kind of food, medicines, dust etc. Many people suffer from heart diseases. It is not rare that a person has a heart attack or a stroke. These troubles and neuroses are often caused by stress and by the quick tempo of our life. Cancer is still a major problem, in many cases not curable. It is a disease that causes cells in the body to grow uncontrollably. There are about 100 different kinds of cancer. In winter we have coughs and colds. This is because of the low temperature, which makes our organisms weak and more vulnerable to diseases. Drugs help patients fight diseases or relieve pain, such as aspirin and ibuprofen. 5. First aid Most accidents happen at home. Many people die because their family doesn't know how to help them. So everyone should learn the basic things about first aid. Many poisonous things can be found in our bathrooms and under the kitchen sinks. If we

Jones--therefore do not be alarmed if you should hear of his having been to me--and, excepting a sore throat and headache, there is not much the matter with me.--Yours, etc." "Well, my dear," said Mr. Bennet, when Elizabeth had read the note aloud, "if your daughter should have a dangerous fit of illness--if she should die, it would be a comfort to know that it was all in pursuit of Mr. Bingley, and under your orders." "Oh! I am not afraid of her dying. People do not die of little trifling colds. She will be taken good care of. As long as she stays there, it is all very well. I would go and see her if I could have the carriage." Elizabeth, feeling really anxious, was determined to go to her, though the carriage was not to be had; and as she was no horsewoman, walking was her only alternative. She declared her resolution. "How can you be so silly," cried her mother, "as to think of such a thing, in all this dirt! You will not be fit to be seen when you get there."
