Navajo people - clothing

NAVAJO PEOPLE CLOTHING Clothing · Navajo clothing for both men and women initially was deerskin for shirts and skirts. · The men later wore cotton or velvet shirts with no collars, breeches below the knee, and moccasins. · Women gradually wore the "squaw dress," made of plain dark blankets Men · After the 1800's the Navajo men borrowed the style of the Mexicans and wore blankets draped over one shoulder. Their pants ended halfway between their knees and ankles. They decorated the seams of their pants with silver buttons. Men · Primitively the men dressed in deerskin shirts, hip-leggings, moccasins, and native blankets. These were superseded by what has been the more universal costume during the present generation: close-fitting cotton or velvet shirt, without collar, cut rather low about the neck and left open under the arms. Men · A traditional man would wear cotton pants, a concho belt, and vel...

Clothing of 18th in England

Clothing of 18th century in England 1750 The middle of the century marked what is perhaps the highest point of rococo style. The stiffness of the earlier years had been abandoned, and the extravagances of the seventies and the neo-classical negligence of the nineties were alike unthought of. The most typical characteristics of the century were at their most charming stage. The wig was neat and becoming. The three-cornered hat was of medium size - it had been ridiculously large in Marlborough's time, and became ridiculously small in 1790; coats and waistcoats were both dignified and graceful, the cut was good and the embroidery elegant. There was a tasteful moderation in the use of lace. Women's dress was marked by a peculiarly charming form of the side panier, and was made of bright stuffs not too rich and heavy, for one result of the large panier had been to lead to the introduction of lighter a...

Inuit Culture

Strong dogs with thick fur like huskies, bred by Inuit, were used. On the waters of the Arctic Ocean, small boats called "kayaks" were used for hunting while larger boats called "umiaq" transported people, dogs, and supplies. Finding Food Because Inuit live in places where most plants cannot grow, the traditional diet consisted of almost entirely meat. Inuit fished and hunted to get their food. Whales, walruses, seals, fish were staples of their diet. Clothing for Staying Warm Traditional Inuit clothing was made from animal skins and fur. Boots were also made from animal skins. Large, thick coats with big hoods called "parkas" were worn as an outer layer. Today the parka style of coat is worn in other places in the world and it is made of many other materials. Traditions Although Inuit life has changed significantly over the past century, many traditions continue. Traditional storytelling, mythology, and dancing remain important parts of the culture. Family and community are very important

My favourite outfit

My favourite outfit is a leather jacket with blue jeans, a white blouse and black platforms. The leather jacket has white stripes down the sleeves. It is also quite worn-out by now because I have had it for some time now and I tend to wear it throughout the spring and autumn months. In fact it has gotten quite a few little tears where it has got caught on sharp objects. These clothes came from one of those big department stores and not a specialist leather shop. I am a big believer in wearing clothing that makes you feel great. The ideal item of clothing is the one that makes you both look and feel great. My favourite outfit makes me feel gorgeous and confident. This outfit is special because it is different – it is just not like any other item I have in my wardrobe.

The Crow Tribe

The Crow are historically known to construct some of the largest tipis. Inside the tipi, mattresses and buffalo-hide seats were arranged around the edge, with a fireplace in the center. The smoke from the fire escaped through a hole in the top of the tipi. Many Crow families still own and use the tipi, especially when traveling. The annual Crow Fair has been described as the largest gathering of tipis in the world. The Crow wore traditional clothing distinguished by gender. Women wore simple clothes - dresses made of deer and buffalo skins, decorated with elk teeth. Male clothing usually consisted of a shirt, trimmed leggings with a belt, a robe, and moccasins. Their hair was long, in some cases reaching or dragging the ground, and often part was styled into a pompadour. The Crows' main source of food was bison, but they also hunted mountain sheep, deer, and other game

Laminated wood construction yielded more strength in racquets used through most of the 20th century until first metal and then composites of carbon graphite, ceramics, and lighter metals such as titanium were introduced. Nowadays they use synthetic strings. For clothing usually male players wear collared polos, shorts and tennis shoes. Women also wear short- sleeved polos and tennis-skirts. Sometimes they might use tennis dresses or just simple shorts. Players often use sweat bands on their wrists to keep their hands dry as well. Although the game can be played in a variety of shoes, specialized tennis shoes have wide, flat soles for stability and a built-up front structure to avoid excess wear.

Hip-Hop Mode (ettekanne)

School uniform pros and cons

which is often used, because some children do not have money to buy expensive and fashionable clothes and they are bullied because of that. Children would not have to think about what to wear in the morning and parents save time taking children shopping and spending extra money. Children will be that much less focused on appearance and more on learning. However school uniforms are good there is some disadvantages too. For example children can not show their character, which is often based on clothing. Some school uniform may be more expensive than oridnary clothes and it is will make financial problems for poor families. All in all, I think that school uniforms are useful and children can not make fun of them because their parents could not afford to buy them the newest trendy garment.

Also exercising with friends can be really interesting and enjoyable. However, there are some disadvantages of keeping fit. Some people are too obsessed about their weight and when they over exercise, it's really bad for health. Their body will be too skinny, which isn't beautiful at all. Another disadvantage is the cost of it. You will have to buy equipment, clothing and club membership and they aren't cheap. All in all, keeping fit is a good thing and it's important that you train for your good health and for fun, not only just becouse of the perfect body.

Kilt

Kilt The kilt is a knee-length garment with pleats at the rear, originating in the traditional dress of men and boys in the Scottish Highlands of the 16th century. Although the kilt is most often worn on formal occasions and at Highland games and sports events, it has also been adapted as an item of fashionable informal male clothing in recent years, returning to its roots as an everyday garment. Typically, a portion of the belted plaid hangs down to about the knees with the rest of the material being wrapped up around one's upper body in a variety of ways and pinned or otherwise secured to keep it in place. The first clear reference to the kilt occurs in the year 1594.In that year, a group of Highlanders from the Western Isles went to Ireland to fight under Red Hugh O`Donnell.

By purchasing a map of the Retezat Mountains, you will surely manage to orient yourself; the signs and markers are in top notch condition. Due to the great tourist feed, these markers are maintained permanently by the rescue teams. For those who want to explore the pathways and trails, don't wander off without the minimum equipment: hiking boots, raincoat, torch, rucksack, warm clothing. For an enjoyable stay, it is advisable to come equipped with a portable cooking burner and a small gas tube, (you are not allowed to light fire in the park), a sleeping bag and a tent. Living and working abroad

Earning money depending on my home country: Estonia, will be better ,because the economy in Estonia is very bad. The disadvantages are mostly leaving your family far away. Getting to birthdays and events involving your family will be very hard. Also when you go living in a new country, there will be a foreign language. If you're not even familiar with the language, it's going to be very hard as well. In a foreign country there will be new food cultures as well as new clothing style and stores, sights, rules, laws. Getting familiar with them is a new experience, but it can be very hard and uncomfortable. The weather in your new country may be very bad in comparison with Estonia. All things considered, if you think moving to a new country and setting up your life there is going to be a very good experience, make sure to check you're theory before making you're decision and doing it.

people in our town as it would give them more choice in where to shop. Also, since there are no any decent sized shopping centers nor malls nearby, the new one would make people's lives easier since they would not have to drive as far out of the town as they are used to at the moment. Stores the shopping center should contain The shopping center should most importantly contain a big grocery store where people could buy their everyday food and drinks. Clothing stores would also be very useful as there are not many around this town. Lastly, we would propose electronics and free time stores and sporting goods stores for people to purchase various goods that suit their hobbies. Our objections to the center Our only objections to the shopping center are that since malls take away a lot of space, it will ruin the beautiful scenery outside the city. Also, more cars would be constantly driving down the road which would then increase the noise pollution.

Amy Lee

After recording several EPs, it was October 22nd 2003, when Ben Moody Left the band citing "creative differences." After that incident, "Anywhere but Home" and "The Open Door" were the records that Amy made with the band. Both albums have become very popular and sold millions of copies all over the world. What I admire about Amy Lee is her incredibly beautiful style, marked by her occasional use of Gothic make-up and taste for Victorian-styled clothing. The fact that she often designs and sews her own dresses is what made me have even more respect for her. What many fans praise Lee for is her refusal to emulate other celebrities by using sex appeal in her music. In my opinion, she is truly the most talented, sincere and admirable woman in the music scene of this century. Emma Reinhold Secunda Sotsiaal

Half of the people there are christians. One of the only things I knew about australia are that there is very warm and there are a lot of kangaroos. In Australia the appearance of people is very formal. Men wear dark business suit and a tie, women may wear a dress or a scirt and blouse. For casual clothing there are pants for both men and women. Australians are friendly and open, but directness and punctuality is very important. They maintain good eye contact during conversations. They bring small gift of chocolate, wine or flowers if invited to someone's home, but gift giving is not very common in bussiness. They avoid littering and when approaching a queue, they go to the end and wait their turn. Australians shake hands when meeting and when leaving and some women may greet each
