WATER POLLUTION THERE ARE THREE DIFFERENT WAYS THAT WATER CAN BE POLLUTED. ⦿ Surface Water Pollution - Most common type, you can visually see the pollution floating (plastic containers or oil and gasoline spills). ⦿ Ground Water Pollution – This becomes more relevant as it affects our drinking water. It become infected by toxic chemicals. ⦿ Microbial Pollution – Found in the countries who don’t have the facilities to cure the water so the bacteria and viruses grow in the water. The people have no other way of getting water so they are forced to drink it. WHAT CAUSES WATER POLLUTION? ⦿ Wastewater ⦿ Marine dumping ⦿ Industrian waste ⦿ Radioactive waste ⦿ Oli pollution ⦿ Underground storage ⦿ Global warming WHY IS IT A PROBLEM? ⦿ It causes worldwide disasters and deaths.
Air pollution Every day, the average person inhales about 20,000 liters of air. Every time we breathe, we risk inhaling dangerous chemicals that have found their way into the air. Air pollution includes all contaminants found in the atmosphere. These dangerous substances can be either in the form of gases or particles. Air pollution can be found both outdoors and indoors. Pollutants can be trapped inside buildings, causing indoor pollution that lasts for a long time. The sources of air pollution are both natural and human-based. As one might expect, humans have

Problematic areas are air and litter pollution as many tourists visit the place leaving behind exhaust gases and rubbish on the ground. Wildlife In the forests near Poku there is comparatively rich in wildlife. The only problem seems to be cutting trees which may leave the local animals without their usual habitat. Recycling Recycling of paper and glass is very well organised in the area of Poku. More problematic seems to be recycling of plastic and chemicals as there are no special containers for that kind of waste. Conclusion and recommendations Poku is a good place many families with children visit and enjoy their time there. To decrease the air pollution cars should be banned from Poku. New litter bins and containers for recycling plastic and chemicals should be placed in the location. To avoid the decrease of local wildlife cutting tees should be forbidden.
which motivated them to stop USA's underground nuclear testing and that was the first time they did something good for environment and they wanted to keep doing that. Objectives 1 Greenpeace is perhaps best known for its campaigns to protect whales and other large aquatic animals from hunters and trappers. Greenpeace programs target multiple areas of ocean defense, centering primarily on pollution and unfair or abusive fishing practices. 2 Many electronics and other products contain toxic chemicals and heavy metals that are difficult to dispose of and impossible to recycle. Greenpeace studies the effects of these chemicals on water, air and the human body and advocates substituting safer alternatives for dangerous materials. 3 Logging and clear-cutting of ancient forests drive species of plants and animals toward extinction and threaten the lives of people whose survival depends on the forest's resources. Greenpeace protects forests by educating the

Police warned that criminals are using generic stock images to deceive consumers into believing the items they are browsing are authentic. Fake electrical items have been singled-out by authorities as a particular risk. Imitation hair curlers, dryers and straighteners are not subject to the same vigorous safety tests as genuine items with some units prone to overheating, presenting a fire risk. Meanwhile laboratory tests have shown counterfeit perfume often contains poisonous chemicals including cyanide and even human urine, according to investigators. Fake cosmetics such as eyeliner, mascara, lip gloss and foundation have been found to contain toxic levels of chemicals and harmful substances such as arsenic, mercury and lead. The unwanted elements can lead to swelling, rashes and in the most serious cases, lethal poisoning. Consumers using websites to buy fake goods have also been warned that they are at risk of having their identities stolen.

Koos vee ja mineraalsooladega imenduvad pestitsiidid taimedesse (Introduction to ecological pyramids: biomagnification. Accumulation of harmful chemicals in food chains. 2010). Sellega on pestitsiidid toiduahela esimesse troofilisse tasemesse sisenenud ja pannud aluse biomagnifikatsioonile ehk bioloogilisele kuhjumisele (Miller & Spoolman 2008). They can convert harmful contaminants to harmless substances. This biological purification process usually takes a long time and it is only used for water that is polluted with contaminants that the microrganisms, usually bacteria, can convert. Physical/ chemical techniques When treatment by microrganisms is not an option we often use different treatment techniques, called physical/ chemical treatment techniques. Chemical treatment often deals with the addition of certain chemicals, in order to make sure that the contaminants change structure and can then be removed more easily. Removal of contaminants can also be done through more difficult specific chemical processes. It takes a lot of education to fully understand these purification steps. Physical treatment usually deals with purification steps such as filtration. Water purification methods

On the other hand, there are some throwbacks as well. Firstly, companies which do not have experience with factories might produce an enormous amount of air pollution. Secondly, sophisticated combinations need highly educated experts, otherwise failure might cause chemical fires, which may lead to catastrophic disasters. What is more, new factories tend to start with cheap products which are produced with toxic chemicals and usually end up polluting our groundwater. In conclusion, there are clearly both marvelous and terrible sides to building new factories. Personally, I believe that building new factories is marvelous because it has positive affect on economy and also gives1 job for unemployed people, however building new factories has negative effect on environment and nature, also might have low quality products.

Of those, just over 3 million, or 13 percent, smoke cigarettes. In the U.S., 66.5 million people, or about 29 percent of the population, use tobacco. With each puff of a cigarette, a smoker pulls nicotine into his or her lungs where it is absorbed into the blood. In eight seconds, nicotine is in the brain, changing the way the brain works. This process happens so fast because nicotine is shaped like the natural brain chemical acetylcholine. Acetylcholine is one of many chemicals called neurotransmitters that carry messages between brain cells. Neurons have special spaces called receptors, into which specific neurotransmitters can fit, like a key fitting into a lock. Nicotine locks into acetylcholine receptors in different parts of the brain, rapidly causing changes in the body and brain. Nicotine raises the heart rate and respiration (breathing) rate, and causes more glucose, or blood sugar, to be released into the blood

The advantages and disadvantages of fast food. For some people fast food is part of their everyday life. It is designed to for busy people who do not have time to cook. But how many people are aware of the advantages and disadvantages of fast food? To start with, the most important thing to know is that fast food is not healthy. It is full of saturated fats and other chemicals, which are not useful to us. People should start to work less and cook more. That guarantees they will be healthier, more active and less sleepy. Fast food is not always harmful. Our bodies need a balanced diet we need some fats, sugars and salt what are in fast food. Everybody should know when to stop eating fast food. We should put our eating habits in balance not too much fast food and also not too much vegetables and fruits.

The ship spilt only 5% of the oil spilt that year, and oil is just one of many pollutants that people dump into the water every year. Every year, 14 billions pounds of sewage, sludge, and garbage are dumped into the world's oceans. 19 trillion gallons of waste also enter the water annually. The problem of ocean pollution affects every nation around the world. This is especially true because water is able to transport pollution from one location to another. For many years, chemicals were dumped into bodies of water without concern. While many countries have now banned such behavior, it continues to go on today. As the world has industrialized and its population has grown, the problem of water pollution has intensified. The simple fact that millions of people live along coastlines and near rivers means that these bodies of water are likely candidates for heavy and destructive pollution. It is hard to know now what our oceans will look like in the future

The most needed jobs in the 21st century Our world is growing bigger every day. Different kinds of people have different needs. There are some people who lead them on the right way to do something right. There's a need of a disaster and emergency management consultants, a leisure consultants and a global mobility specialists. What jobs they actually are? The main task of a disaster and emergency management consultant is writing exercises about chemicals, radiation, plane crashes, and terrorism. Companies order a consultant to their offices and then consultants make them clear about it. How to react in different situations, what to do with toxic substances etc. It's a bit like creating a film. Of course disaster and emergency management consultants can fly around the world lot. More free time and greater leisure options at home and out are responsible in part for the growing importance of that job. The need for independent and objective

That’s why overweight wasn’t a problem back then. Their foodtable was more various because they ate everything what was edible and available in nature. Nowadays it’s very popular that people eat junkfood and different products that are full of chemicals, sugars and fat. And if they don’t move it’s easy to get overweighted. One of the main problems why humans are unhealthy is not drinking enough water. You can buy many different flavoured drinks nowadays that are full of artificial colours and sugars. Drinking water is geting very unpopular especially among young people. Human body needs water to work proparly. One of the problems why we don’t have enough water in our bodies is alcohol
Animal Experimentation Based on the Constitution of Estionia, we are all born with equal rights. However, mankind denys that animals share these rights. Animals are just as entitled to the rights of living, avoiding pain as humans are. Nonetheless, we still abuse them, often even without a second thought. Despite the wide use of animal testing, the research gained from it is not helpful to mankind. The chemicals and medicines tested on animals reacts differently on every species. That is why results gained from animal testing could be incorrect and misleading. In many cases, not only are the results wrong, but the opposite can be true for humans; a drug may cure a disease in lab animals but have an bad effect when used in treating people for the same symptoms. Only the study of human patients will ultimately lead to valid research.

They are fed stuff that make them grow faster and bigger. The chickens can’t carry their own weight and fall down. Employees hit and toture them. I find horrifying how the chikens are treated as plain food not living creatures. Cows and pigs are treated in the same way. Most of the food in America is controlled and manufactured by few main companies. The major food companies make huge profits of which are based on supplying cheap but contaminated food, the heavy use of petroleum-based chemicals (largely pesticides and fertilizers), and the promotion of unhealthy food consumption habits by the American public. I think that it’s absolutely wrong how the food indrustries and farms work. Nowadays, it’s all about the money. No compassion. My solution is to fight against the system. If many countries would cooperate, than there would be a chance that we could end this tragedy.
Due to the fact that overall life in Poku is good we still have some problematic things to consider. Nowadays government has started to cut trees near Poku. This affects development of animals living in these areas because it takes away living areas of these animals. Air pollution is also rising because of overall pollution coming from distant cities and from cars that tourists use to visit the area. People who are visiting Poku are also leaving too much trash behind. Plastic and chemicals recycling is also problematic because right now there is little ways to recycle them. I recommend that we could use extra trash bins, so tourist could always put their trash in proper places. Car park situated in proper distant from Poku would be good solution to fight air pollution. Hopefully then visitors would prefer to leave their cars a little bit farer and enter the area on foot. Government should stop cutting trees near these areas or they lose a beautiful and
MIS ON RESPIRATOR? Respiraator on teatud tüüpi isikukaitsevahendeid (IKV). On kulunud üle nina ja suu. Mõned respiraatorid ka katta nägu ja silmad.Respiraator võib teid kaitsta vastu hingamise kahjulikke saasteaineid, mis on õhus - kui te kasutate seda õigesti. WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO WEAR A RESPIRATOR? Workers doing cleanup or ripout jobs create a lot of dust that gets into the air. This dust is there even if you cannot see it. It may contain mold or chemicals like asbestos or lead. If you breathe in this dust, you might become temporarily or permanently ill. You might become ill right away or sometime in the future. Always wear a respirator for cleanup or ripout jobs. This can prevent harmful substances in the air from getting into your body and making you sick. MIKS on tähtis kulumise respiraator? Töötajad teevad cleanup või ripout töökohti luua palju tolmu, mis satub õhku. See tolm on olemas isegi siis, kui sa seda ei näe
The most alarming occupation is proven to be driving with a tractor. The percent of the diseases among the tractor drivers is shockingly 69%. Next come the car drivers and farmers. The percent of the occupational diseases among their area of work is 33%. Less alarming, but still worth mentioning, are the sewerage workers (8%), the excavator drivers (7%) and the welders (5%). Conclusion: In conclusion, the most concerning occupations are the ones that are dangerous, because of the chemicals or the machinery. Also the occupations, where the worker has to do one thing repetitively or for a long time; like sitting or lifting and/or holding something for a long time. The solution in my opinion is to offer more health care to the alarming occupations and also informing workers, how to avoid different occupational diseases.

diseases or hereditary diseases of a brain and nervous system by using genetic engineering and research inflammatory and immunological diseases. In the economic plan genetic engineering is very favorable. First of all, terms of creating of a new sort are reduced to a minimum, and it means that time and money, which are usually left for selection works, are saved. Secondly, genetically modified products are steady against insects and do not need toxic chemicals and productivity of genetically modified organisms is much higher, than of the usual organisms. On the other hand, geneticists recognize that intervention in a genome of live organisms can not completely be safe. In organisms are happening mutagen changes which can have strong negative impact on the human and it can be badly reflected on the human's health. Introduction in a human diet of mutagen food can lead to

Female workers rarely get maternity leave, and with extreme hours and no childcare facilities they often cannot take care of their kids. Many women are forced to send their children to live with family in the countryside. Toy production involves close contact with chemicals that are incredibly harmful to the workers' health.
