CATS Muusikali ´´CATS´´ on komposeerinud A.L.Webber 1981. aastal. Muusikali kirjutades toetus ta raamatule Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats. Muusikali ´´CATS´´ esmalavastus toimus 11. mail 1981 Londonis West Endis. Pärst seda tegi muusikal debüüdi Broadwayl 7. oktoobril 1982. Muusikali on mängitud Londonis üle 9000 korra ja New Yorgis üle 8000 korra. 1998 aastal salvestati ´´Cats´´ videversioon. See salvestati VHSile ja DVDle. Wheel well (rataskaev) This wheel well, first mentioned in 1375, was once one of the main sources of water for Tallinn. The legend says that: Citizen of the town believed that an evil spirit lives in the well and threatens to make all the town wells run dry if it doesn't get regular animal sacrifices. To keep the spirit happy people started to throw dead animals to the well. The main victims appeared to be cats living in the town who were tossed to the well sometimes even live. The practice was so common, that soon it was given a name "Cat's Well". Although the wells in town never ran try the water quality due to sacrifices got so bad that the well couldn't be used anymore from mid 19th century and the cats of the Old Town no longer lived in fear. According to ancient Egyptian law, taking the life of a greyhound warranted the same punishment as killing a man. As early as 3500 B.C., Egyptians were domesticating wildcats from Africa. They considered cats to be godesses pets. That ranked them above humans, making them the first to be saved if a house caught fire, before the people. As I see it, having a pet at home is a good thing to do. Nevertheless, often having a pet means having a lot of tasks because you have to take care of them very well. Thus, you will wake up in the early morning to take them out for a walk, or to calm them down when they are afraid of something. However, if you love them, there will be no problems.

Except it only applies when it comes to certain animals - those that we consider pets. Cats and dogs generally live good lives, with their loving families. However, it’s common for the families who clearly believe that animals deserve a good life, to sit down and eat the body parts of animals other than cats and dogs. Even though it’s relatively easy for us to come to ethical conclusions, we still value them because the choices we make are what determine our survival, well-being and happiness.
