As the British pop singer Elton John put it on one of his songs, it is often the case that ,,sorry seems to be the hardest word." Of course when we do manage to make a sincere apology-it can quickly reduce the hurt or resestment felt by the person we have behaved badly towards. In the words of the Canadian cartoonist Lynn Johnston "An apology is the superglue of life-it can repair just about anything". However a recent survey suggests that in Britain the word ,,sorry" is being used in various situations where it doesn't have the traditional purpose of expressing regret for something a person has said or done. Arguably, the word is now being overused and might even be in danger of losing its meaning.
Superman Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster created Superman in 1938. Superman was sent to earth from another planet called Krypton to save the earth from attack of evil forces. He is working as reporter of a newspaper namely `The Planet'. His name is Clark Kent. Flintstones William Hanna and Joseph Barbara, makers of Tom and Jerry, created Flintstones in 1960. It is a story of a Stone Age city. The cartoonist imagines the life in that Stone Age city, if all modern technological and scientific developments are available there. The Flintstones" was nominated for an Emmy in 1961 for "Outstanding Program Achievement in the Field of Humor".
