russian information web-site. The article name was "Dogs job commitment". Police officers of the Moscow Underground had to restore at work a retired patrol dog. Dog named Chuck has shown an incredible commitment to work. Not resigned to the fact that he was sent to deserved rest, he escaped from the owner, and came alone to overstep on duty, just at that undeground station, where he worked half of his life. Chuck is 15 years old and 8 years his worked at the underground station. Work as calling Definition As the empirical investigation of calling has grown, a variety of definitions have been proposed for the construct. Across definitions, a calling is typically viewed as a job that provides personal meaning/purpose and that is used to serve others (Dik & Duffy). Traditionally, calling was a term used in a religious context with the implication that one was "called" by God or a higher power to engage in work that led to fulfillment of a larger purpose (Hardy).

London the new Babel

widening of the European Union. It is now easier for people to travel inside the EU. Londoners are well known for their politeness but not all of them deserve this kind of fame. There are many people living in London who do not accept other races and religions. They do not like foreigners visiting London as tourists nor living there. Racism is most common among young people or in areas where many coloured people live. The most common act of racism is calling names. There are very many coloured people in London and it is offensive to call them "nigga", "negro" or "Japs". But calling names isn't the worst act of racism. Many immigrants get beaten up or bullied because of their religion or ethnic origin. Some get killed and commit suicide because of the bulling. I think that a person who persecutes somebody because of who he or she is isn't a smart one. It is important to respect other cultures and not to

employed. 1. Use the four answering courtesies: · Greet the caller · State your organisation (or department) · Introduce yourself · Offer your help "Good afternoon, Accounts, Andrew Batt speaking. How may I help?" 2. Show enthusiasm when you answer. Help make the caller feel welcome A tired voice lacking in enthusiasm is very unappealing and reflects on the professionalism of your organisation. 3. Use friendly phrases as part of your greeting. · "Thanks for calling." · "May I help you?" 4. Remember to smile as you pick up the receiver. It may help if you have a mirror on your desk, this way you will be able to see how you sound on the telephone. Also, as a reminder, tape the word `Smile' on your phone. Closing the conversation When you finish your telephone conversation there are some appropriate and courteous statements that should always be made. You should: 1. Thank the caller. 2. Let the caller know you appreciate his/her business. 3

For and against modern technology for communication

because of its low cost it is a good way to communicate with friends and family, especially contact with those who are far away for example in other countrys. On the other hand many people work with the Internet because it is the fastest and easiest way to contact others and send files. The other way of modern communication is to call somebody by mobilephone also you can send SMS's to others. Mobilephone is good when you are not at home because everyone can catch you by calling. But the Internet also has its negative sides. The main problem of it is the spreading of viruses. A virus on your computer can cause that the computer to collapse. And then you could lose some files from your computer. Fixing the problem is expencive and takes time. Also the mobilephone has its negative sides because you need a lot of money to buy it and they are not very resistant. Calling somebody by a mobilephone can be very expensive when you call to a dial telephone.

Bullying

BULLYING Bullying is a very big problem in almost every school. When bullying goes out of the limit, it might end with a terrible gunfire(Colombian massacre). I believe everyone have been bullied by someone and have been a bully for a once. Bullying is an issue that is very important in nowadays and needs a special attention. Some of the ways to bully other people are by: calling you names, making things up to get you into trouble, hitting, pinching, biting and pushing, taking things away from you, damaging your belongings, stealing your money, taking your friends away from you. Now, to talk about why people bully someone there are many aspects. Some bullies do it to get attention or to make other people afraid of them. Others might be jealous of the person they are bullying. It makes bully feel, stronger, smarter, or better than the person he or she is bullying

Day in my life

Finally my package has been delivered. I greeted him and went looking for my ID card. I ran back to the postman. She was writing down my info while my little brother was trying to talk with me. He was yelling: ,,What is this?" I answered him: ,,It's a package, obviously." My brother started laughing and ran away. Postman asked for a signature and suddenly my phone started ringing. I gave her the signature and crabed the package. I ran downstairs but the caller hanged up already. I started calling back but the phone was busy. Suddenly I heard ringing again. I ran upstairs to pick up the phone but my sister was already speaking with the caller, so I went back downstairs. After my sister finished the call, she told me that the package was for my mother.

For or Against a Mobile Phone

On the other hand, they can cought a lot of damage. Todays, it is very popular to take an sms loan. Many criminals use it for against us and steal our money very simply. Secondly, big bills are not the sound of our parent`s ears. Finally, the mobile phones can be used of cold steels. For example Russel Crow`s incident couple of years ago. In conclusion , mobile phones has the potential to provide a better and quality life for everyone. Although, they are mentioned for calling, they can be used as a weapon and a great chance to steel money from somebody.

Confused at the strange conversation she just had with Jacob, Bella begins to cook for Charlie and try to decipher the meaning behind Jacobs words. Moments later, Bella theorizes that Jacob was checking up on her to see if she had run off to be "changed". The following day Bella is met with a surprise visitor at school. of them are smart phones. According to the survey, there are five different brands of phones that are used by students. Samsung and Sony Ericsson, with four users, is in the lead. Most of the phones cost more than 100 euros. However, three owners got their phones for free. The average cost of a cell phone is 195 euros. Eight out of thirteen students bought their phone themselves. Furthermore, five students acquired their phones as presents. The most popular phone feature used is calling. Also, nearly three out of four students use their phones to browse the Internet, and almost a half of students use their phones to send text messages. A little over a quarter of students like to play games on their mobile phones, and one fourth enjoy using their devices to listen to music. Even though every mobile phone has a camera, not many students use their phones to take pictures. Based on the findings above, it is clear that the main uses of mobile phones are

Kokkuvõte: "What makes a good leader?"

should have. The Great Man Theory declares that the leaders are born not made, but the another theory claims that some people just have more leadership gifts than others. It's good to know leadership theories because the better you know them, the better you are likely to lead. If you want to succeed in your career or business, it is important to be the leader in your field. Leaders need clear sense of their calling and they need to be curios about it to notice new things. Nevertheless good leaders have to remember that they don't know everything. There are general characteristics that good leader should have. Bill George thinks also that leadership is not about skills, but about leaders character. He said that it is important to have sense of purpose, passion and mission. Daisy Wademan Dowling said that good leaders need empathy and they need to be teachers

Myrtle is the only one calling him “Master Georgie”. Mr Hardy leaves his affluent lifestyle in Liverpool, where he is heir to a fortune, to go to war at Inkerman in the Crimea. He believes "that the war would at last provide him with the prop he needed." TEST - the history of London

TEST – The history of London 1) London was definitely not an important place during the Celtic period. It was just a mosquito-infested swamp. 2) London became a trading centre during the Roman occupation. It was an important crossing point for the Romans over the river Thames. Market forces began to operate. With troops stationed and ships calling, merchants will inevitably set up shops. 3) The Celtic warrior queen Boudicca and her tribesmen fought against the Roman conquest and devastated Londinium. The city was burned down and its inhabitants massacred. 4) London was rapidly rebuilt and in AD 122 the Roman walls were built around it as a defence. 5) The Romans left Britain early in the 5th century because they had to cope with troubles elsewhere in the Empire. 6) Around AD 400 the Germanic tribes invaded Britain.

Folk music is held in high regard in Estonia. There are many annual international folk festivals of which the biggest is Viljandi Folk, which is calling performers from all over the world. The first Estonian Games, Dance and Gymnastics festival, held in 1934, was a precursor of the present Dance Celebration. One and a half thousand folk dancers performed there. Markko Märtin

As a result, Märtin announced that he would pull out of the last four events of the 2005 season. Understandably shaken by the passing of Park, Märtin effectively left the WRC stage. He went on to manage a junior rallying team in the Estonian rally scene, indicating that he would likely refuse any offers to drive at the top level again. He has since spoken out against the FIA's treatment of the WRC, claiming that the series had lost much of its luster and calling for a far-reaching rules overhaul. However, Märtin made a limited return to competitive rallying in March 2006 at the 2006 Rally of Portugal. The invitational event was held as a candidate for full WRC status. Markko competed in a Subaru Impreza, his first outing in an FIA-spec Group N car in nearly a decade. He was co-driven by David Senior, who formerly worked with Alister McRae. Märtin also partook in the 2006 Danish Touring Car Championship with Hans Hartmann's Honda Racing.

"Legal english vs everyday english" speech

Introduction: Hi, I'm here to talk about the advantages and disadvantages of using legal English. How many of you have had to use/have had any interaction with legal English? Well, I, myself, apart from learning it in this class, have never, but many others have. Legal English dates back to thousands of years and it is an essential part of law. Lately, in some cases, legalese has been smoothly replaced with plain language and for some it is unacceptable. So, why use legal English when there is already plain language that can be used instead? Body 1: Firstly, we all like to follow traditions, right? So do most lawyers. You know Latin was and is important for English law, the practice of using Latin word versus in case names (for "against") still occurs daily. Why change something that has been used and appreciated for thousands of years? Law is known for it's conservatism and legalese might have maintained so well because many lawyers h...

School on cool!

SCHOOL IS COOL ! The pressure for teens nowadays is unprecedented. Especialy for those who have exams, musicschool or training. Sudenly we find ourselves asking why? why so much pressure, what`s the whole point ? Too many responsibilities are very frustrating. Even some rainy day could make us sad ! It`s easy to study in winter, because nothing is calling us out. In spring only thought is what will i do after school? Weather is warm again and sun can be very foxy! Another disturbing factor is " annoying classmates" . Some people just want to put up a show. They scream , yell ugly words to teachers and impede the schoolwork. Thanks to the yellers, teachers are mad and ofcourse they punish the whole class. This is also very depressing. Just admire teachers! They can give us homework according to their mood. Estonian Independence Day

Independence Day On 24 February, Independence Day is celebrated in the Rebublic of Estonia. This is the day that the Manifesto was declared in Tallinn 91 years ago. In responce to a period of Russification initiated by the Russian empire in the 1890's, Estonian nationalism took on more political tones, with intellectuals first calling for greater autonomy, and later, complete independence from the Russian empire. Following the Bolshevik takeover of power in Russia after the October Revolution of 1917 and German victories against the Russian army, between the Russian Red Army's retreat and the arrival of advancing German troops, the Committee of Elders of the Maapäev issued the Estonian Declaration of Independence in Pärnu on February 24, 1918. after winning the Estonian Liberation War against Soviet Russia and at the same time German Freekorps volunteers (the Tartu Peace Treaty was signed on 2 February 1920), Estonia maintai...

California around the age of eleven. He is of Vietnamese and Jamaican descent. He grew up listening to Fabolous, Lil Wayne, Cam'ron and Eminem among others. Tyga claimed to have been brought up in the low socioeconomic area of Compton, but on the television show Bustas in 2008 he claimed he grew up in a "well-to-do" home in the Valley, where his parents drove a Range Rover. He also claimed that he attained his nickname from his mother calling him Tiger Woods. There has been speculation that his claims on the show were satirical and not to be taken seriously. St. Charles Church (Kaarli kirik)

The benches inside can fit a total of 1500 people. When the first service was held there, exactly 200 years after the consecration of the first wooden church, the reconstruction was not completely finished – missing were the steeples and the altar painting, as well as the proposed figures in the wall niches that actually haven’t appeared to this day. The most valuable and significant feature of Charles church is the large fresco decorating the apse. It portrays Christ calling out to people, ’’Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest’’ written above. This is particularly true of women with few resources . Lack of affordable housing and long waiting lists for assisted housing mean that many women and their children are forced to choose between abuse ( ) at home or the streets. Mardi Gras

Carrying on a lively French custom, they dressed in costumes and masks and paraded through the narrow streets of the French Quarter of New Orleans. More people joined and followed them until they caught the attention of the ladies of the town, who leaned over their balconies and threw chocolates and kisses to them. From that time on, masked walking parades became fashionable in New Orleans in the springtime. The festivals became more organized in 1857 when a group of people calling themselves "The Mystick Krewe of Comus" made their way through the streets on floats pulled by horses. One float was carrying the king of the Crewe on a throne and another carried a devil sitting among flames made from paper and representing hell. Later, a person of true royal blood found his way into the festival. Alexis Alexandrovich Romanov, the brother of the heir to the Russian throne, went to New Orleans, where the Mardi Gras was being planned

Oscar Wilde

despised, was cavorting around London with its greatest playwright, Oscar Wilde. In 1895, days after the triumphant first night of "The Importance Of Being Earnest", Queensberry stormed into Wilde's club, The Albemarle, and finding him absent left a card with the porter, addressed "To Oscar Wilde posing Somdomite". Bosie, who hated his father, persuaded Oscar to sue the Marquess for libel. As homosexuality was itself illegal, Queensberry was able to destroy Oscar's case at the trial by calling as witnesses rent boys who would describe Wilde's sexual encounters in open court. Oscar lost the libel case against Queensberry and was arrested by the crown. With essentially no credible defence against charges of homosexual conduct, he was convicted and sentenced to two years hard labour, the latter part in Reading Gaol. Unreformed Dickensian prison conditions caused a calamitous series of illnesses and brought him to death's door.

Victoria Justice Writes Her Own 'Victorious' Ending

Victoria Justice Writes Her Own 'Victorious' Ending Tonight is the night -- the series finale of Victorious. Star Victoria Justice took to Twitter and Tumblr for her own version of how the ending should be. "Hi guys, as most of you know by now, tonight is the final episode of Victorious. In honor of this I thought I'd write a letter about my journey on Nickelodeon and most of all my gratitude to all of you. "It all started when I was twelve years old and auditioned for a role on a show called Zoey 101 for the part of Lola. I was cast as a series regular on the second season. I knew my life was going to change in many ways, but I didn't know then that that role on Zoey 101 would lead me to almost eight years on `Nickelodeon' (all my teenage years). I remember Dan Schneider approaching me and my Mom about giving me the starring role of my own show. I remember discussing the premise of what the show would be, like it was yester...
