Though finding his journey to the castle creepy, he finally meets Dracula, who seems to be very well- mannered yet awkward. Next entry is by Mina, who is very worried about Jonathan and her letters to her beloved friend Lucy. Somehow she recieves a letter from Jonathan’s friend who says Jonathan is in Bulgaria. She quickly decides to go to a hospital in Bulgaria, where Jonathan is and they finally get married there. At the same time, Dracula has travelled to England and he seeks for Lucy, who has been proposed by three man, but she accepts Holmwood’s while remaining friends with the other two. Later on, Lucy starts to act very strange and dr. Seward decides to call his teacher, Abraham Van Helsing. He quickly finds out the problem, but the results are no good.

Same year in Nice the European Council agrees to change the system for enlargement of the EU, in 2001 the treaty is signed. In 2002 new Euro coins and notes are introduced to the eurozone members. In 2004 10 countries join the EU: Estonia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia. In 2007 Bulgaria and Romania join the EU, Slovenia also joins the eurozone. In 2008 Cyprus and Malta also join the eurozone, following Slovakia in 2009 and Estonia in 2011. Today the union has a common single market consisting of a customs union, a common agricultural policy, a common trade policy, a commons fisheries policy and a commons foreign and security policy.
