beliefs; some may simply prefer to identify as non-human without this reincarnation. Mostly these peole communicate on the Internet and if they gather then mostly to talk about their past, their feelings or to just get more information about other otherkins. Behaviour- Otherkin is a pretty quiet subculture. They dont do or go to demostrations or attack people, because most of the otherkin understand that really only one or two percent of the population share their beliefs. They gather secretly in places where they are free to talk to each other. Some otherkin claim they are allergic to iron (here is the illustrative picture) or some other things that people actually are not allergic to - for example garlic, silver, some kinds of wood, whilst other otherkin (usually half-dragons) claim that having no allergies at all is a sign of being an otherkin. Some otherkin also claim to be especially empathic and attuned to nature.

Different nations

When they see, for example, a black-skinned person ,they start whispering. However, people who grew up in countries with wide diversity, are much more tolerant. They meet different origins and skin colours every day. Different cultures make the country interesting place to live. They can introduce their customs and culture to others and in time the cultures blend and become one. Different people have dissimilar religion. They believe according to their beliefs. Usually people follow their religion and do not tolerate other beliefs. Such behavior may cause conflicts between the people with different religions. Even if we don't have other nations in our country, we'd be affected by the media, so we'll still use English words in our everyday talk and so on.Different nations should accept each others culture, language and traditions. Then it would not be that hard to live side by side.

Tolerance and diversity

Tolerance and diversity First of all I had to pose myself a question what does tolerance mean to me? I came to the conclusion that for me it means accepting people the way they are- not caring about their appearance, orign, religion, attitude or skin coulor, even if their beliefs and thoughts are not just the same as mine. I think that every one of us should pay respect to other people. I find it interesting to learn about other cultures and how they live. Estonia is a culturally diverse society. It is home to approximately 1,4 million people and not all of them are Estonians. Beside us consider Estonia as their home: Russians, Ukranians, Belorussian, Jews, Tatars, Germans and Poles - among of many others. They

Other areas were richer in vegetable food, but there was no organised agriculture or domesticated animals. Food therefore was not easy to obtain. Tribesmen recognized the tracks of animals and developed extraordinary skills in tracking their pray. 5. Traditions, arts and beliefs. The Aborigines blamed supernatural forces for all the events and used magic and ritual to get rid of evil spirits. Each of the clans had a special sacred place on their land where their spirits returned after death. The daily life and religious beliefs of Aborigines are best described in their paintings. Natural medicines from plants and roots were used to cure illnesses and the healing of the spirit was more important than the healing of the body. 6. European settlers

It is only knowledge produced with difficulty that we truly value. To what extent do you agree with this statement?

DNA discoveries are much more valuable to us, the ordinary people, as they can save humans lives, whereas learning about photosynthesis doesn’t. The scientific community might, however, find information about photosynthesis very useful and valuable nonetheless. Ethical knowledge is valuable though often times easily produced. Different people have different perceptions of what is ethical and what isn’t. We do heavily rely on common and widespread ethical beliefs, but our personal ethical beliefs are essentially what we act upon. We decide for ourselves, whether we consider an action ethical or not. Tolerance and Diversity

Diversity joins the cultures of people of different origin. Different cultures make the country multifarious and unite the human beings. They can introduce their customs and culture to their fellow countrymen and in the course of time the cultures blend and become one. Yet, this new type of culture has influences on both original cultures. So everybody wins from "diversity'' and receives a new cultural experience. Different people have dissimilar religion. They believe according to their beliefs. Usually people follow their religion and do not tolerate other beliefs. Such behavior may cause conflicts between the people with different religions, but tolerance is the keyword to avoid conflicts. Equality also plays a huge role in life, because everyone has a free choice to believe in everything they want. To have a better society we must be more tolerant. We shouldn't assume anything before not knowing the person. Only after getting accustomed to the individual we can make our decisions.

Sotsioloogia essee: Hechter ja Horne

There are several theories and explanations for why social order persists and emerges. Hechter and Horne in the reader Theories of Social Order present several widely-acknowledged explanations for social order. In this essay, the explanations regarding a shared meaning, norms and values and power and authority are explained. Furthermore, the extents to which these explanations can be convincing are assessed. Meaning Hechter and Horne argue, that "shared concepts and beliefs are a perquisite for successful communication" (Hechter and Horne, 2003:44), thus bringing together the ideas of many sociologists in explaining the importance of meaning when explaining social order. Meaning, which can be defined as a sum of common concepts and beliefs that enable cooperation, has been defined yet so differently by various sociologists. Emile Durkheim (Durkheim, 1912) tries to explain meaning by describing the importance of religion in social interactions, and

Martin Luther King

King married Coretta Scott, on June 18, 1953, they became the parents of four children. During their marriage, King limited Coretta's role in the civil rights movement, and expected her to be a housewife. So let’s turn to the his activist movement and orator career. First of all, all started from religion, King became pastor of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, when he was twenty-five years old, in 1954. His views was strongly based on Jesus Christ beliefs, so the main influence was Jesus Christ. Besides, he thought, that we should love our neighbor as yourself, and also love enemies, pray for them and bless them. He known almost all Bible, he would almost always quote Christian gospels in his religious meetings, speeches at church, and in public discourses. On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks was arrested for refusing to give up her seat. The Montgomery Bus Boycott, urged and planned by Nixon and led by King, soon followed

Estonian National Cuisine

Estonian National Cuisine re a d a c k B Bl The word ,,bread" came to Estonian from Germanic languages. Traditional black bread spread in Estonia in the second century. In a household people usually baked bread on Saturdays. Depending on the size of the family, they usually made 6-10 loaves of bread. One loaf of bread usually weighed about 2-5 kg. Beliefs and habits If a piece of bread was dropped, it had to be picked up and given a kiss so that hunger would not come to the house. A loaf of bread was never put on a table upside crust down. That would predict a family member's death. It was not allowed to lay a loaf of bread with its cut side to the door, because then the house would run out of bread. Eating the crusty end of bread would give a girl nice breasts. Warm bread was supposed to be broken not cut. Christmas bread

control system. The traveling is much more proctected by plane. Moreover there is no hitchhiking anymore due to stricting the security checks. Even though it can't be said to the other types of transportation. Terrorism in the Internet has also decreased, whereas computer specialists develop better hardwares to avoid crimes in electronically. Furthermore people are more aware of the jeopardies in the Internet. Terrorism in religious countries is fairly nonsense. War between the two different beliefs will probably never end. Apart from the religious views, remaining world knows how to form its attitude. Media gives us a good overview from the activities and that is the way people learn about the evilness and know how to handle it. To summarise I would say that people are more aware and know the traps of life. Nevertheless we all fall for these things, although that's the way people learn. In my opinion terrorism has had a positive influence in world history.

Menhirid

Menhirs are widely distributed across Europe, Africa and Asia, but are most numerous in Western Europe; in particular in Ireland, Great Britain and Brittany. There are about 50,000 megaliths in these areas Over the centuries they have variously been thought to have been used by Druids for human sacrifice, used as territorial markers or elements of a complex ideological system, or functioned as early calendars History Practically nothing is known of the social organization or religious beliefs of the people who erected the menhirs. We have no trace even of these people's language; however we do know that they buried their dead, and had the skills to grow cereal, farm and make pottery, stone tools and jewelry. Identifying their uses remains speculation. However, it is likely that many uses involved fertility rites and seasonal cycles. Click to edit Master text styles Second level Third level

School Uniform

School Uniform is a bad thing To start with, school uniforms have many good sides for students. However, uniforms also have bad sides which are particulary involved with financial problems. Each and every person in the world is different, and by making people dress the same, they can't express themselves fairly the way that they would like to. Having school uniforms is not necessary, and there are many reasons to prove it. Some people say that wearing a school uniform stop the bullying, because all children wear the same clothes. But it's not true - the bullys and other evil student will always find another reason to make somebody feel bad - like glasses, pimples or overweight. Second reason that schools have school uniforms is because of the gangs. They believe, when all of the children wear the same clothes, they will not have any gangs. But students communicate with each o...

A woman's influence in politics has yet to be recognized as a true political voice of women that actually yields power. Perceptions of women and politics from the media, society, men, and even women themselves have shaped women's ability everywhere to participate politically and socially within our society. The United States, as well as many other countries, has various beliefs regarding the role of women in the political arena. The United States has shown how the political role of a woman has evolved, over time, into a more powerful one. On the other hand, a woman seeking a powerful position, such as a political platform, is looked down upon in most countries. Some political systems are regimes marked by one- party rule and are incomplete in their political development. The place of women in society is still secondary and it will take time before the U.S

Although Estonians don't have any particular reason why we don't accept Russians as equals, we are used to just unaccept them. Religous percecution is a serious side of intolerance. Jew-baiting has been the bitterest case in history. Their percecution was caused by their antichristian beliefs and holding on to their own religion. Its culmination came during the World War II, when the massive Jew-baiting took place, known as the Holocaust. People's, who obeyed Adolf Hitler, tolerance changed to a very cruel way of intolerance. Her father was a pole model and inspiration for her ever since she was a young girl. When she saw her father giving powerful and confident speeches, it motivated her to become as looked up as her father was as a political figure. What gave her a push into politics was wish to make a change in the world, Not to become someone, but to change something that would matter. She was wise and clever enough to do so. What drove her most was her remarkably strong will to stand for her beliefs, disregarding what others said or believed to be better. She strongly believed in her decisions and never backed downs on a decision what she had made. Her terrible stubbornness is probably why she was such a success as a prime minister. When presenting her thoughts, she was laughed off numerous times not just because of her gender but also cause she was known as the daughter of a grocer. The conflict between man and nature presented in Antigone has deepened my understanding of the customs and traditions of the ancient Greek era and influenced my perception of our current world. Sara Thomas is played by the charming Kate Beckinsale, who also played in an Oscar winning movie ,,Pearl harbor". Personally I believe in fate since often things appear to be more than just mere coincidences. I found it to be one of the most enjoyable romantic comedies I've seen, however I did find it

TEXT The Irish Problem

The Irish Problem ~the Irish can not be trusted~ In 1641, just prior to the Civil War, the Irish of Ulster had begun an uprising and attacked the planters who had been settled 30 years before. Between 10,000 and 15,000 Protestant planters were murdered by the Irish at places such as Portadown. Due to the war, the English did nothing about this and the death-toll became heavily exaggerated over time. In 1649, after the Civil War had ended, Cromwell landed at ...

TV violence, Essee

TV violence Nowadays, television is the mainstream medium, which influences significantly the public opinion and, furthermore, it has the power to influence the formation of an individual’s identity. In such a situation, television violence has a particularly significant and dangerous impact on the viewers, especially youth, whose identity, moral values and beliefs are in the process of formation. Young people often perceive celebrities they see on TV and imaginary characters they see in movies as models for their own behavior. Children usually want to be soldiers or gangsters. As a result, they attempt to follow their lead, which often leads to the development of negative models of behavior. Also, some people think that fighting scenes, explosions, shooting scenes and other violent elements of movies are so awesome and they also want to spice up their lives and do something “cool”...

husband, she was a devout Catholic. His father named Benito after Mexican reformist President Benito Juárez; while his middle names Andrea and Amilcare were from Italian socialists Andrea Costa and Amilcare Cipriani. Benito was the eldest of his parents' three children. As a young boy, Mussolini would spend time helping his father in his blacksmithing it was likely here that he was exposed to his father's significant political beliefs. The conflict between his parents about religion meant that, unlike most Italians, Mussolini was not baptised at birth and would not be until much later in life. However, as a compromise with his mother, Mussolini was sent to a boarding school run by Salesian monks. Mussolini was rebellious and was expelled after a series of behavior related incidents, including throwing stones at the congregation after Mass, stabbing a fellow student in the hand and throwing an inkpot at a teacher

Lessons for the future

educational structure. I find that Estonian schools should pay more attention to teaching our children current state in our political landscape. Kids, who go to school, are our future and soon-to-be full- right voters in national elections. They will become old and independent enough to be a part of deciding process over their country's future. So, it is very important that they would know which political party stands for what beliefs and who are the politicians in Estonia who are leading our country. Youth, especially youngsters aged 15-18 should know or find out what is their political affiliation. Politics, elections, new laws, different kinds of reforms are constant part of our lives and that is why it is vital for also young people to be well-educated about those subjects. At present, the youngsters spend most of their free time staring at computer screen or just loitering outside without any particular purpose

Power Destroys Ideals

things that they would do to make the life better and easier. They tell the others about how much effort they will put in their future work and tasks. Unfortunately many or even the most of those promises are never kept. As soon as a person or a political party gets the power they tend to forget their words. The life of the rulers automatically changes for the better when they get their high position and because of that they very often forget the previous ideals, promises and beliefs. On the Animal Farm Napoleon and the other pigs promised the animals that their life will be way better than it was before, that all the animals are equal and should be treated much better, but as soon as the pigs got the power they did not care about the well-being of the animals very much anymore. The events that took place on the Animal Farm give a perfect example of how it works in the real life. People have always fought for power. Leadership appears to be one of the most

Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit Character Sketch

But when a little girl needed simple motherly love and support, Louie was never around. I.g. when Jeanette had just had her surgery she spent a week in the hospital almost on her own, except for time when Elsie came to see her. Waiting for the plumber had been more important for Louie. The only way she could compensate the love she did not get from her mother was to look for it in other women. Louie had a negative impact on Jeanette because of her religious beliefs. “My mother has always given me problems because she is enlightened and reactionary at the same time.” She was the reason Jeanette had grown up the way she never wanted her to be but never actually admitted it since she saw the flaws in everyone else except for herself. “While some of our church forgave me … , my mother saw it as a willful act on my part to sell my soul.” Willingness to even turf her

Reasons why human beings are unique

bigger and so collaborative hunting may have played a key role in that. Our advanced teamwork may simply reflect our long history of working together to get food. Mind readers The fact that our nearest relatives share too simply shows that it is an ancient trait. It was already present in the messy branch of early humans that led to us, but none of these other species were as hyper cooperative as we are today. (Credit: Thinkstock) Humans have a unique ability to understand the beliefs of another person (Credit: Thinkstock) These cooperative skills are closely tied to our incredible mind reading skills. We understand what others think based upon our knowledge of the world, but we also understand what others cannot know. The Sally-Anne task is a simple way to test young children's ability to do this. The child witnesses a doll called Sally putting a marble in a basket in full view of another doll, Anne. When Sally leaves the room, Anne moves the marble to a box
