He has to constantly analyze what kind of shot is best to support the story, how long it should be and what kind of details it should contain. If the director thinks that many shots should be used, it might not be possible and his imagination is limited, then by whatever kind of factor. So in his work, he might rather be using one powerful shot rather than many good shots, that together might work better than one epic shot. For example, in a film „Battleship“ directed by P. Berg, there is a shot of protagonist lieutenant where camera sweeps 180 degrees while actor counter rotates. But this shot doesn’t work in a way that it creates the feel of spaciousness, because there is no background and therefore there is no parallax. This shot should’ve been done in more minimalistical and original way. Another problem from a directing point of view, is showing multiple storylines in way that it would make sense to the audience
million amps -- to generate tremendous force. The projectile, under the influence of the Lorentz force, accelerates to the end of the rails opposite the power supply and exits through an aperture. The circuit is broken, which ends the flow of current. 1.4 How a railgun would work on a military ship in the future Rail guns require tremendous currents to fire projectiles at speeds of Mach 5 or higher. This presents problems for a traditional battleship because power cannot be diverted from the ship's propulsion system. In the Navy's next-generation battleship, the all-electric DD(X), producing this kind of current will be possible. To launch a rail gun projectile, power would be diverted from the ship's engine to the gun turret. The gun would be fired, up to six rounds per minute, for as long as required. Then power would be shifted back to the engine. 8 3. Research advances so far 3
weighed anchor and sliced across the wrinkled surface of Tankan Bay. They steamed slightly south of east, heading into the "vacant sea"—the wintry North Pacific, whose wastes were undefiled by merchant tracks and whose empty vastness would swallow up the force. They had been ordered to return if detected before December 6 (Tokyo time); if discovered on December 7, Nagumo would decide whether or not to attack. Strict radio silence was enjoined. Aboard the battleship Hiei, Commander Kazuyoshi Kochi, a communications officer for the force, removed an essential part of his transmitter and put it in a wooden box, which he used as a pillow. The force drove eastward through fog, gale winds, and high seas. No one saw them. Meanwhile, Hull, after a frantic week of drafting, consultations, and redraftings, had completed the American reply to Japan's proposal. It called upon Japan to withdraw all forces from China and Indochina and
