Art and Aesthetics in Early Childhood Education

Art and Aesthetics in Early Childhood Education TÕLGE Irving B. Weiner . Handbook of Psychology, Educational Psychology. 2003 lk 288-290 The very concept of artistic development and some long-standing models developed to describe it (e.g., Gaitskell, Hurwitz, & Day, 1982; Lowenfeld & Brittaind, 1964; Luquet, 1977) have in fact become a subject of criticism in recent years. Four particular issues have been identified in this collective body of criticism. First, questions have been raised about the appropriateness of unilinear conceptions of development in explaining a wide range of pictorial imagery produced by children. adolescents, and adults

the Tate Modern in London. But museums and galleries are not the only homes of art. Sculptures and art festivals also testify to the creative genius of England. Sculptures range from ancient figures of historical import to life- size bronze carvings of human beings (such as exist on the roof of De la Warr Pavilion in Bexhill or the Another Place exhibition on Crosby Beach, Liverpool). One of the largest art festivals is held in Birmingham and is called Artsfest. The artistic talents being showcased range from classical music and song to traditional dancing and stand-up comedy. This festival is usually held in September. Theatre is another very important part of the English culture and is, in fact, one of the reasons people visit the country. Theatrical shows, such as Cats, The Lion King and The Phantom of the Opera, are modern reflections of the ancient Shakespearean productions that once graced the English stages.

Theatres in Tallinn

The objective of its first leader Voldemar Panso was to change the unnatural situation, created in Stalinist times, of Tallinn having only one Estonian-language drama theatre. In the beginning the theatre used the big stage of a Soviet-style "palace of culture". In 1975 a 100-seat stage was opened in the 15th-century house in the old-town centre of Tallinn. After Panso the company was led by Mikk Mikiver, Kalju Komissarov, and Rudolf Allabert. Since 1992 the artistic director is Elmo Nüganen and the managing director is Raivo Põldmaa. In 1994 the company took its present name. The cramped conditions of the theatre became better, when it obtained some neighbouring buildings and the whole historic block was renovated, turning it into a challenging theatrical complex. Among the new additions are two flexible stages, of 120 and 200 seats respectively, many smaller playing areas, and an open-air stage. At present the troupe includes 24 actors and

could assess the quality of the works presented. 1. THEORETICAL PART Any type of history is a discourse in its own right. What is more, when talking about art history, the discourses seem to flourish immensely from one into another, and so on into many more. In the context of the beginnings, one cannot but firstly reflect upon the artwork of graffiti. Later on, by the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st, street art has evolved into complex interdisciplinary forms of artistic expression. From graffiti, stencils, prints and murals, through large-scale paintings and projects of artistic collaboration, to street installations, as well as performative and video art, it is very much safe to say that street art has found it’s way into the core of contemporary art. And rightly so. (Maric B. The History of Street Art, 2014 [https://www.widewalls.ch/the-history-of-street-art/] 20.12.17) It is an amorphous beast encompassing art which is found in or inspired by the urban

,,cornrow", but now his hair is taid back in a ponytail. He is attractive and good looking person. Every time I see him, he smiles. He tends to be very positive and cheerful. He is active and has no difficulty making new friends. I also find him to be courteous and kindhearted. If his friends are in a trouble, Robin always tries to help them. Robin can be very humorous. Sometimes it is very funny to listen to his jokes during the break. He also has an artistic side. For example, some time ago, when we were practising our play ,,Highschool Musical", Robin played different roles. For all these reasons, I really like him. I wish I could see more of him, as we see each other mostly at school. However, we chat a lot at school and sometimes we are messaging. What I like most about him is that Robin is very humorous. I´m really glad that Robin is a good friend of mine.

Pros and Cons of School Uniform

Pros and Cons of School Uniform At several schools worldwide, students are required to wear school uniforms. In some schools, uniforms are not required as this is part of the decision of the school or the parents. On the other hand, wearing school uniform does have its pros and cons. First of all, wearing school uniform suppresses students’ way to express themselves. Uniforms prevent them from wearing the clothes they want to wear. Children are often much more artistic than many adults, especially in high school, teenagers experience an increased need to be unique and special. The clothes are one of the most important things of self-expression, and school uniforms do not allow students to demonstrate their individuality. On the other hand, school uniforms make students feel equal. If students are required to wear school uniforms, people will not recognize who is rich or who is poor. Everybody will give them ...

Their first play what "Sometimes you feel that life will end and there hasn't been any love". The theatre also organizes so called one-time "actions", in which you can't be certain if it's going to be a success of failure, because the ideas are somewhat crazy. It has two theatre halls, but their plays have been staged in the open air as well. For example one time in an old swimming pool and also in three abandoned airplane hangars. Their imagination has no boundaries. The theatre's artistic director is Tiit Ojasoo, and Ene-Liis Semper is the chief stage designer- director. The troupe consists of 10 actors, eight men and two women. The best known and also my favorites are Mirtel Pohla and Rasmus Kaljujärv. I haven't seen as much plays of theatre NO99 as I would like, because it's very hard to get a ticket in there and they play one spectacle very few times. The Advantages and Disadvantages of City and Country Living

Every person has their own taste and idea of the world that they live in. For example, I like living in city, but I have also a friend, who thinks that living in country is good for her health and mind, which is why she approves it. However, some people, who approves living in country still lives in city. Cure for going against their wishes is that some people decorates their apartment or house with paintings of peaceful and bright-colored landscapes as it brings not only a sense of artistic consciousness to their home, but also makes them feel cosy and allows them to at least temporarily forget about daily routine and pollution, crime (especially in bigger, crowded cities) and noise they have to endure when they go outside. I'd say that it is disadvantages for living in a city. On the other hand advantages of living a city life are easier communication, access to stores and entertainment and possibility to get a good-earning job, which I prefer. Also your it is a good

holding Jesus' lifeless body, known as La Pietà. His first large scale commissioned work was the statue of Bacchus for a sculpture garden. Shortly thereafter, he created one of his most important works, the statue of David, and a commissioned piece symbolizing the freedom of the republic of Florence. Michelangelo truly had achieved fame as an artist, and his talent became sought after by Pope Julius II, who asked him to go on a very artistic ship-journey, a commission to paint the ceiling of the Sistine chapel in Vatican. At first, Michelangelo, who had been busy painting frescos in Pope Julius' tomb, refused his descendant's request, feeling that the undertaking of such a monumental task would take him away from sculpturing but the Pope insisted, and his word prevailed. Ironically, Michelangelo's work on the chapel ceiling broadened from the original request, which called for twelve paintings

Friendship Friends are a very important part of most people's lives. Research shows that having quality relationships increases your likelihood of being happy - so it's good for your happiness to be a great friend and to have a group of close friends surrounding you too. A good friend might be someone who's there to provide support when times are tough, or someone you can rely on to celebrate a special moment with you. Friends might come and go in our life, they might make us laugh and cry, but most importantly they love us for who we are. It doesn't matter what a person looks like or what kind of clothes they wear, but it's what's on the inside that counts. It's the actions they take, no matter how big or small, to show us how much of a good friend they are, and being there for us no matter what, even when things get rough. It just isn't the right place for it. Same thing is with modern art and critics nowdays. Many people think that the more absurd things you do, the more artistic and famous you are. Doing totally nonsensical art can be good when it's made with heart and One really believes in in. London - inglise keeles kokkuvõte

LONDON The history of the town is very closely linked with the history of the country itself. The name probably comes from the celtic words Llyn, which means a lake, and Dun, which means a fort or a strong place. Although the site was not important during the Celtic period (400 BC 43 AD) During the Roman occupation Londinium, as it was called then, was not influential politically, but was, however an important crossing point for the romans over the river Thames. Londinium was at a very good place, so it soon became a trading centre. In AD 61 the city was devastated by Boudicca, who led a revolt againt the Roman conquest of Britain. The city was burned down and its inhabitants massacred. London was rapidly rebuilt, becoming the capital of the province Britannia. AD 122 Roman walls were built around it as a Around AD 400 the Anglo-Saxons invaded Britain. They destroyed the roman towns and formed many kingdoms that were hostile to one a...

Fourth level Fifth level http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6THP9YHh6Q Krumping is a recently developed street dance style based on a variety of moves of the entire body. The dance routines are formed of arms, legs, chest and head movements in an energetic and exaggerated way. The reason for this is that Krumping is a style supposed to enable people to express their most inner emotions. It is an artistic manifestation of various feelings and thoughts. Krumping is very easy to learn and practice. All you have to do is watch a few videos and dancing tutorials to learn the basic moves and then start looking around your region for a crew to join. There are numerous teams in all the major cities that have a base culture involving street dances of all kinds. Krumping usually involves contact between dancers. Clarification

Why not? Because traditions are now under attack from mass production and mass marketing. 9.4 Clarification / Reiteration through reference to subject They are usually on the same side in war-time, yet they rarely speak well of one another on a personal level. Are we talking about a struggle for superiority? I'm talking about national institutions, centres of culture which represent the best of Britain's historical and artistic treasures. That isn't the point. I'm talking about soft drinks, and few Spanish bars will serve you with "horchata", their own traditional soft drink. I'm talking about desktop PCs Are you saying that foreign-based multi-nationals decide who is going to be British Prime Minister. Well you might as well argue that the government should subsidize all shops. I'm saying that it's the British tax-payer who pays the bill.

Ella Fitzgerald´i eluloo kokkuvõte

Rivaled only by Frank Sinatra, her recordings of work by Cole Porter, Ira and George Gershwin, and Rogers and Hart were incredibly successful. One of the early "scat" performers, Fitzgerald found a place among the growing jazz innovators, making recordings with such greats as Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, and Louis Armstrong. Her true genius, however, was not formal innovation or deeper expression, but artistic renderings of the enthusiastic songs of her time. "I'm very shy, and I shy away from people," Ella once said. "But the moment I hit the stage, it's a different feeling. I get nerve from somewhere; maybe it's because it's something I love to do." More than anything, it is this love of performing that won her the hearts of millions throughout the world. By the 1970s, she was performing with a trio headed by pianist Tommy Flanagan, and regularly with dozens of different symphony orchestras

Art-based learning

The resource can be used in RE to explore both learning about and learning from Christianity, and as part of spiritual, moral and cultural development(http://www.amazon.com/Christianity-Through-Art- Margaret-Cooling/dp/1851753826). Usage of the method This method helps pupils to understand Christian signs and symbols. It is a good opportunity for a teacher to enrich their teachings with the language of image. An important criterion in choosing an artistic work is complexity. The choise must be done according to the age and ability of the children. Also teacher must remember that expression of christian art can be interpretered variously(Mazzarello:107-108). In my point of view visual teching methods are interesting for the pupils. Also it helps children to connect before heard bible stories with visual art. They see the symbols and also learns to analyse them.

State various viewpoints and discuss them, including opposite opinions. Include some of the following viewpoints: moral, personal, scientific, political, geographical, social, historical, religious, economical and artistic (From an education standpoint, it is vital that historical sites be preserved, so that we can teach our children about their cultural heritage. On the other hand, some educators argue that the many used for preserving sites should go to improving the educational system. In this way, children benefit more.)

of corposes in the ground in a pottery container. Later, the unburned body was depodited in a rectangular grave. Graves were also commonly furnished with goods including jewellery, ornaments, brooches, beads, girdle-hangers and weaponry. Pottery and other vessels are sometimes found, as are toilet-sets, knives and amuletic items. Contribution Anglo-Saxon art contributed some distinctive iconographic forms to the artistic mainstream and also stylistic elements. Manuscript painting made a major contribution to the evolution of Romanesque and, ultimately, Gothic art. The early Anglo-Saxon period is notable for its cemeteries, most of which are found in the southern and eastern parts of England. There is a substantial Anglo-Saxon contribution to the modern English gene pool - a large- scale population movement or immigration in the early Anglo-Saxon period.
