Mamuljani osavõttu revolutsioonilisest liikumisest Tartus. 1909. aastal loodi Tartu Ülikoolis Taga-Kaukaasia armeenia kaasmaalaskond, kelle üks eesmärke oli ,,koostada ja lugeda kirjandusteoseid ning ettekandeid armeenlastele huvipakkuvatel teemadel". Armeenlasi tuli Tartusse väga paljudest kohtadest: Jerevanist, Tbilisist, Bakuust, susist, Karsist, Erzerumist, Aleksandropoolist, Etsmiadzinist, samahist ja mujalt. 1912. aastal ühinesid armeenia tudengid korporatsiooniks Armenia. Nii kaasmaalaskond kui ka korporatsioon korraldas koosviibimisi ning loenguid kodumaa ajaloost ja kultuurist, levitas armeeniakeelseid ajalehti ja kirjandust. Veebruaris 1916 lõpetasid mõlemad organisatsioonid tegevuse. Ajavahemikus 1802-1917 viibis Eestis pikemalt või lühemalt kokku üle 300 armeenlase. Eesti Vabariigi ajal 1918-1940 puudusid Eesti ja Armeenia vahel toimivad suhted.

Significant steps have been taken to strengthen bilateral dialogues on these matters. Since July 2009 three rounds of Human Rights Dialogue have taken place with Georgia. The first meeting of the EU Armenia Human Rights Dialogue took place in December 2009 and the second in December 2010. Issues of democracy and human rights are also discussed with Azerbaijan in the framework of a new sub-committee for Justice Liberty Security (JLS) and Human Rights and Democracy which was established in 2010.
