In the 21st century Muslims face questions relating to their faith, the nation state, science, and every day life. New Muslim intellectuals are beginning to arise, and are increasingly separating perennial Islamic beliefs from archaic cultural traditions to resolve these issues. Liberal Islam is a movement that attempts to reconcile religious tradition with modern norms of secular governance and human rights. Its supporters say that there are multiple ways to read Islam's sacred texts, and stress the need to leave room for "independent thought on religious matters". The negative aspect of the experiment is a decrease in state budget revenues and consequently in social expenditures. Also, there isn't any guarantee that the money, which is left to enterprises, should be used for investments in Estonia. Initial results of the experiment are contradictory and unclear in their final conclusion. Two different kinds of changes will take place in Estonia while acceding to the EU. First of all, the excise duties for the fuel and tobacco products will arise. These changes aren't of a principal nature but they are going to arise the level of the prices and they'll worsen the economical climate to a degree. But the principal changes should be considered to be the establishment of the customs for non-member-countries and the duty to re-establish the corporate income tax, which has been determined to Estonia in Merger Treaty. The macro- economical influences of these changes are just waiting for their scientific research.
Helje Kaldaru University of Tartu The purpose of this article is to investigate the income distribution in Estonia in comparison with other transition economies and the countries of European Union, to find out analogies and differences. The problem has both economic and political aspects. From the economic point of view, the question of making the distribution of income more equal or not, will arise. In order to join with EU, Estonia has to build up a social system acceptable for it. In countries with a higher development level, the income distribution is relatively durable, but transition economies are characterized by a convergence. The distribution in Estonia differs essentially from that in EU member states or other transition countries, being more unequal. Until 1997 the decrease in inequality took place, but after that property stratification has deepened again.

Neuroblastoma is predominantly a tumor of early childhood, with two thirds of the cases presenting in children younger than 5 years. In rare cases, neuroblastoma can be discovered prenatally by fetal ultrasonography. Neuroblastoma originates in the adrenal medulla or the paraspinal sites where sympathetic nervous system tissue is present. The most common symptoms are due to a tumor mass or to bone pain from metastases. Proptosis and periorbital ecchymosis are common and arise from retrobulbar metastasis. Extensive bone marrow metastasis may result in pancytopenia. Abdominal distention with respiratory compromise due to massive liver metastases occurs in infants. Because they originate in paraspinal ganglia, neuroblastomas may invade through neural foramina and compress the spinal cord, causing paralysis. Fever, anemia, and hypertension are found occasionally. Multifocal neuroblastoma occurs rarely, usually in infants, and generally has a good prognosis
